- Tom Spellman and Dave Wilson Nursery visit Gary Matsuoka and Leah Beattie at Laguna Hills Nursery to see how things are growing. Figs, Goji berries and apples are the main points of discussion.
I am so lucky to live 15 miles away from Gary at Laguna Hills Nursery. He has helped me so much over the years. Regarding the nectaplum, I have about 25 different varieties of fruit trees on my property and the nectaplum is my favorite.
AWESOME INTERVIEW! Laguna Hills Nursery has got the BEST selection of fruit trees & and there staff is second to none! Charles 🌱👍
My favorite grower at my favorite nursery! Love you guys! I've learned so much from both Tom and Gary!
Hope to visit the nursery, love Gary’s videos. Thank you 🙏
Tom Spellman, I look forward to all your video's and fruit tasting. Thanks for bringing me happiness.
This video excited me almost as much as a fruit tree box outside my house when I get home!😍 Definitely my favorite trees to get! Thanks for posting.
My internet gardening icons collide!
Sequel, sequel!!!!!
Excellent videos thank you for sharing your knowledge could you make a video of what best pruners to buy and where to buy them and different fruit diseases, what sprays to use and how to use them thank you
Great Tour!
Tom, I'm looking forward to seeing the apple tasting video.
Got that 2020 flavor punch pluerry in zone 10B. Wish me luck
How’s it working out for you? Zone 10b humid or dry?
@@xaviergregorio7698 first year fruiting. None held. Dry climate, minimal rain.
@@tinyjungle_ Damn. I'm in humid 9b - it's not looking too good for me. Are you going to give it another year?
@@xaviergregorio7698 yeah I think next year will be the true test. I knew when getting this veriety I was pushing the limit on chill hours. We get between 300-400 chill hours if we're lucky.
@@tinyjungle_ I feel that. Update me as you go! I am going to try one in 2022.
Leah, Wow. What a beautiful smile!
Dapple supreme here in San Bernardino is my best producer as well. Dapple dandy does very well, with flavor king a heavy producer yet still pretty young and small. Flavor queen (Green with yellow flesh) isn't much to look at but produces heavily and tastes very good. Flavor grenade produced very well one year before a borer killed it. I should have the first fruits from its replacement this year. Flavor supreme has been the only disappointment, producing only 2 fruit in five years. I'm curious of the goji berry and the blueberries mentioned here. I wonder how well they would do in the hot and dry inland.
Wow, in these dark days of home quarantine I sure could use another friendly, informative FruitTube video! How about a discussion on "interspecifics," Tom? What exactly is a "Aprium," "Pluerry," "Pluot," etc.? Did Zaiger Genetic develop these, or Dave WIlson? Could I grow one in hot and humid north Florida? Thanks!!
Is there a video that goes into depth about the Dapple Supreme?
My favorite fruit trees.
Let me know when the house next door is for sale. I want to move in next to Gary San.
I wonder of Geiger would have patented that goji berry.
Where can you buy grow straights? Can I buy them from Dave Wilson nursery?
Can we plantation of pomegranate plants in high density?
