Thanks! you can play with any color! these gt3s are so great kits to build! Actually this red color goes a bit into copper but it still gives this nice look! thanks again!😊
That is a mighty dropdead gorgues Porsche. I think it is your best build sofar. Man that would look awesome on my shelve. I think i am gonna buy this kit and try to achive your result, but will be using or Metallic dark blue or a flashy green paint on it. But that Red from you is absolutly awesome on that car.
Wow! I think I need to print your comment and pin it on the wall :D Once I loose my faith in scale modelling it will bring me back! thanks! I really appreciate your kind words and I'm happy to hear that you find it drop-dead gorgeous. Using metallic dark blue or flashy green paint could certainly give the car a unique and personalized look. I have the same feeling about this project! nothing gone wrong, everything was perfect! I was lucky or maybe finally I learnt something 😀 fingers cross for your gt3 and finding the right spot to display your work! thanks a lot!!😄
I see that you are using Micro Krystal Klear glue. I have been using a similar glue called ZAP canopy glue 'formula 560'. Probably the best glue I've ever used although I haven't tried the MKK. Takes awhile to set but dries quite clear. I've used isocol to clean up after its set.
Thanks for sharing! I was looking for an MKK replacement to try something new, but I was more into AK than ZAP. I will check your suggestion. When it comes to MKK, it takes a while to cure, but you can easily wipe it off with water. It is said that BSI Super Gold Plus doesn’t frost the glass as well...but... I feel much more comfortable with vinyl type glues while working with transparent parts 😀
Sure! I am using dental microbrush 1.5mm applicators. 😀 They are great for this kind of purpose. I couldn't find the same as mine, but they are quite similar amzn.to/47d2ZdS
Nice build great colour. Working on this kit right now and going with a mettalic purple. Where did you get the glue applicator? Looks like a very handy tool. Thanks.
Thanks! I'm glad to hear that you like it! :) Regarding the purple mettalic, the GX207 Metallic Purple, I have already used on the black primer in my Porsche 959 project, and it looks really nice! The glue applicators I use are micro bendable applicators that dentists use, which are 1.5mm thick and have a brush on top. I remove the brush and use it for glue application, but it's also perfect for cleaning the airbrush without removing the brush :) They are 100 pieces in a pack, you can buy them on amazon in different colors :)
Well, I like the idea of restoration, but every time I watch this kind of content, I have a feeling that the car has been destroyed on purpose... And I feel sad because something which was probably absolutely fine was destroyed to make a movie out of it. However, I like the outcome! The idea of using parts from different manufacturers might evoke different feelings, as there are people who like to restore the model to its original state or just don't bother and make a customized one like in this example. Nice paint job! I was quite surprised as there was no sanding paper used, but the outcome was perfect. So, nice skills, nice job, I wish to have this number of subscribers and views! Actually, I have a 1/24 diecast to restore! But I would like to make it as it came from the factory🙃 what is your opinion on this project? did you notice some differences between the real one and the model car?
Very nice well detailed build. Love the color of the body. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Glad you like it! 😀 all the best!
Fantastic build! The color is great on a 911. Have 3 of that kit I will build soon.
