Zero. That's how many goals the Revs have given up in their last 4 games. Petro is learning to trust his defense more and he's flashing some excellent goal saving abilities!
4 clean sheets in a row and 5 in the last 8 games. And Petrovic is still only 22 years old. He will be the best keeper in MLS by the end of the season / next season at the latest. Kessler was absolutely solid in defense and made some nice moves going forward on occasion. DeJuan had a solid game as did Bye (aside from his one mistake assuming the ball would go out of play and not making sure of it). Tommy was great and all over the place. Wilfred was good, a couple loose passes but also dribbled out of danger and sprung the attack several times. Not great, but not bad. Tico took some time to get into the game but his minutes have been limited, but he also was never bad. Buck was very good in the limited time he was on. Rennicks has been showing why I have been yelling that he should have been starting over Jozy (or even coming off the bench ahead of Jozy) all season long. Great hold up play, great pressing, comes back to defend, can chase down a deep ball over the top and seems to have endless energy. The only real complaint is that they were just not clinical in front of the net and honestly should have easily walked away with another 3 or 4 goals. Still, you got the clean sheet and all 3 points at home (and have not conceded in over 370 minutes of regulation) so I can't be too critical. When the rest of the team gets back to full fitness and Dylan, Bou, Polster, Maciel, Bell and Vrioni are back on the pitch and all cylinders are flying this team is going to be hard to play against down the stretch.
Both sides played well, DC created a few great chances, as did the revs. Gil scores and hits the post, Petrovic is incredible, fun game to watch. Ref was ok, pretty neutral, both sides suffering from injuries. Let’s get some points in Canada!!! Onto Toronto💙❤️💙
Three points closer!!!!! Unlucky to not have had about 4-5. Especially with all of the injuries, it was another brilliant hard fought 90 from the boys. SIX important players out and we still managed to walk away with a win, and a dominant performance. A few sloppy mistakes but our attacking play managed to cancel it out. A few loose passes and lapses in front of goal but nothing we couldn’t overcome. On the bright side, another clean sheet!!! Couldn’t be prouder of this backline and Petro for going on this run of form. I couldn’t even tell you the last time we kept four clean sheets in a row, incredible!!! Rennicks was great again and he’s really starting to become a fan favorite, at least in my eyes. Does everything he can in every single second he plays. Pressing, pace, positioning, getting fouled, etc. His footballing mind is incredibly advanced. Revs through and through, you LOVE to see it!!! Tommy Mac with another class performance. Passing, defending, just everything really. Wilf had another game of good and bad. He’s a bit of a surprise with every touch, but does seem to be fitting in better the more he plays. Great debuts from both Noel Buck and Chris Makoun. Buck with that brilliant ball through to Capi and getting in the right spots was great to see. Makoun was a bit more safe just making those back passes. Considering he prefers being a CB, he at least showed he can play there when needed. I was a bit worried taking off Rennicks and not bringing on Esmir for like 20 minutes but it all worked out in the end. I also wish we managed to get Jack Panayotou a contract for some depth at the 9 spot since we are showing to be a bit thin there. That being said, we need to get players fit immediately and absolutely need to bring in one more body in midfield. There are plenty of options, especially with that international spot. Even if it’s just for six months. Busy weeks ahead, let’s use this momentum!!!! GO REVS!!!!!!!!
This was a big win for us. Needed the three points against a weaker team in DC United. I know we had players injured, but that’s our main defensive line and sooner or later, one or two will get past Petrovic. We need to be a bit more clinical on attack and tighter on defense. Anyone know when Bou and Borrero will be back? Anyways, on to Toronto midweek. Another must win before the schedule really heats up at the weekend. Need the three points from that game in hand! Go Revs!
Rehabilitating DC United is going to be a 3-4 year transitional investment. Rooney has a lot of work ahead of him. But this can be done. Especially with the recruiting influence that comes from Rooney's playing legacy.
@@jays8396 definitely I think Benteke will be great in MLS and when Rooney gets a few more players in I feel he can turn it around pretty quick. Things can turn fast in MLS.
Rooney can’t save DC, it’s sad but true. They’ll have to prepare for next year, they probably won’t make playoffs. On the flip, this gives the revs a shot at making a playoff spot now.
Yeah I don’t think Rooney was brought in to save anything this year , the team quality is way too poor and way too far back. He’s there to build toward next year and his reputation will help in recruiting for sure.
Yup, ‘cause those Jan-Feb games in Minnesota, SLC, NY, Toronto and Montreal would really boost attendance and show off the skill level in MLS. Definitely help recruit top players from Central and South America and Africa…
@@johnmcgimpsey1825 England is cold around the same time. Nobody told those cities they must get an MLS franchise. Expanding to 30+ teams is another joke.
@@kiesh1463 all the new expansion teams have been a huge success with massive attendance. If there’s a market for it why not keep expanding.. you can’t compare the amount of teams in USA leagues to leagues in countries that are smaller than Texas.
@@pgpro8691 the only success that matters would be to line up with the schedule & thus the transfer market of the entire world. if its to be taken seriously the MLS should fall inline. if your only ‘soccer’ knowledge comes from this grand league, well than this explains so much. But I’m not the first to raise this discrepancy and won’t be the last. They’re afraid to compete with the NFL & NBA for fans. Ay Oh Petro! 4 clean sheets in a row!
Should've been 5-0, but pocket those three points! Also, I'm not quite at "Matt Who?," but PETRO IS A BEAST.
I literally say Matt turner who every game (as a joke) he is insane

Our goalie Petrovic is a thing of beauty 🙌
I was there last night, the scenes were awesome!
New England gets a decent crowd. Better than I thought.
yup
Especially for a Wednesday

Glad to have you.. I’m rooting for Rooney to turn this team around and I think he can do it next year.

Petrovic take three point . Excellent goalkeeper .
Nice size crowd this evening

Lol well take the 3 points
Needed that bad!
too close for comfort
Could’ve been a 3-3 draw all things considered. Thankful and Happy to walk away with 3 points
