I remember the first Hot Rod drag deal and this car was pink. Not many people knew Larsen back then. I still have the Hot Rod dvd with this. It was raining the last day. Carl Scott rebuilding his big block in the parking lot. Awesome stuff.
Met you at Cordova at Drag Week 2007 . You were so kind , and talked to my son and I like we were old friends. You're a class act and I wish you all the best !
I saw this car at the Las Vegas SCSN race the same year Larry & Chad cruised the strip with it. I kept walking past it in the pits and just staring. I got some strange looks from Larry and his wife so I finally got the nerve to say hi. Nicest folks you’d ever meet. A couple of the things I remember that I thought was so cool for a car of this performance level. He kept the steering column stock appearing and it has a stereo! The machine is awesome!
Honestly, I'd say you can thank Kyle and the whole 1320 crew for a lot of your viewers. I first saw you years ago on their Drag Week coverage. I liked what I saw in you back then. You're an ultra driven competitor. No bullshit and drama. You seem like a pretty down to earth regular guy like the rest of us. All of that is appealing to me. As an ecstatic and humbled new viewer, the stories behind these builds are gold, I would love to hear the stories overlaid with some shots of the car as well?
I remember seeing the nova at heartland park topeka backed in over at the old chassis shop and it was pink. Then you moved to KC and would see it a lot and it had a blower and a lenco. He would drive to KCIR with his son in the passenger seat with the radio cranking and would make a couple 8sec or high 7 sec passes and drive back home.
Wow, I always thought you bought it pink. And in mid 90's. Seems like I remembered the car from 94-95 but apparently not? I was enthralled with the Pump Gas Drags and Fastest Street Car Shootouts.

You're doing a good job of sharing your story with us, especially since I understand "long form" discussions like this are new to you.
