As a beginner World of Warships player, I'd love to hear you go on more beginner-centric topics :) Right now I think that this game might be my most favourite game that I don't want to play.. And I'd like to change that!! But random battles are intimidating..
Wasn't painful for me at all as a noob. I found it powerful and enjoyable. Just have to use islands as much as possible. The torps can be devastating to people who push around your island

Yes! Didn't think you were going to pick it when I requested it. Omaha is best bote though I prefer having IFHE on mine so it can be meaningful in a T7 gme as well.
Omaha is indeed an underestimated ship, likely because a lot of new players play the ship and sail flat broadside. Yes, it is objectively a fragile ship with poor concealment, but it also has high speed, decent maneuverability, good range, and an ungodly amount of DPM. The latter is even more effective when you consider the fact that t5 cruisers can pen equal tier battleships without needing IFHE. In fact, if you go by shiptool's metric of calculating fires per minute, Omaha is like the 15th best firing setting ship in the *entire game*. A well-played Omaha is one of the most annoying ships to fight at these tiers, I'd say even more annoying than an average GC.
Worth noting that the shiptool stats for Omaha's gunpower are inflated because you can't get the casement mounts on the opposite side of the ship firing simultaneously with the ones on the side that you are presenting to the enemy. But its gunpower is still very very beastly despite this - it's a great glass cannon that new players don't appreciate because of how reliant it is on island camping.
@@Ace42x Incorrect, shiptool.st's DPM number actually accounts for the gun arrangement. The listed DPM is indeed the amount of DPM you will be able to get off on a single broadside.
Ah the USS Citadels & Explodium, a ship I have a big soft-spot for. I always say if someone wants to learn how to kite, play Omaha and Emerald, because you have to learn to not get hit at all. It'll teach you to manoeuvre, dodge, throttle juke, the works. That said, Omaha is a proper fire-breathing monster in the right hands.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Omaha. I have unicum/super type stats in it and I was a noob. I humped a lot of islands in it. Even got torp kills in it when people pushed island
Kirov ! Gentleman may I request we all show up here every week to upvote a different T5 Cruiser until he plays them ALL? Not out of spite or malice, but outta love & nostalgia. Also that would test the stereotype of Canadians being way to polite all the time. If he can do this without flippin' out or cussing us all out, then, I guess there could be something to it. 🤔 Of all stereotypes thats gotta be the best one to have if it's true.😉
No another ship requests, but if you want to make a video like a tier list, for commanders, unique and seasoned I see so many players asking: ship or commander? Well, maybe a video (up to date, 2024) about this might be interesting and useful Thank you PQ!
Lets get the OG T5 cruisers going, Omaha this vid, perhaps Kirov or Konigsberg next? Also Celebes is kinda broken, that thing just spits fire and has crazy manoeuvrability and railguns
Italian cruisers are fun and beginner-friendly enough. You get the exhaust smoke in case you mess up, and the sap is good against destroyers and light stuff. The reload is painful though.
I wouldn't mind a video about the best first premium ships for new players; stick to Tier VI and lower, and only premiums that are currently available in the store for gold, money or coal.
I'm grinding through this tech line right now. I like Omaha, nice velocity on the guns and movability. What do you think about the Russian line? If you could do Chapayev would be nice.
T5 is fun - in theory. And in T4-T6 matches. What is the (intended built in) problem is you are meeting a lot of much better ships (T7) with no retaliation or many chances of biting back. And once you move into T6, it gets even worse - Pensacola against Kaga? Have fun; on the other hand you still can play onle one tier lower ships in turn due to T4 protected MM. And don´t forget, on T8 starts plane ships like Nebraska and similar stuff as well. The game kinda frustrate-force you up and up, where you still can get bullied a lot by some things you are not designed to fight (mostly plane based stuff). There is simply no easy way out in randoms. That´s where Ranked, OPs and special modes come in handy
I quite like California - it's just a straightforward battleship that requires good fundamentals, even though its lack of gimmicks means it's very average. The slow speed means you need to position correctly from the outset, and maintain the correct positioning throughout - otherwise your slow speed mean lots of wasted down-time trying to reposition post-facto. Battleship fundamentals are: Your only job is to establish and maintain a crossfire with your teammates - force the enemy to choose between showing broadside to either your weapons or your teammates'. Survival comes from maintaining an adequate angle against threats (incoming AP on your main armour belt whilst it is angled 30 degrees. Tighter still for SAP or improved ricochet angles); plus range management. Optimal range is "as close to the enemy as safely possible without being so close that you eat more than the occasional stray torp when trying to slip between them; without being so close that you expose more than 30 degrees of armour to incoming AP; and without entering HE spam from ships you cannot see and thus cannot shoot back at". Any further from the enemy than that and you are making them safer from your guns without gaining appreciable safety for yourself. Execute those battleship fundamentals on the California, and you'll be getting dev-strikes on cruisers (and a fair few BBs) for days. Like the Vermont line, if RNG goes your way it can be a one-salvo ship.
I get too stressed out playing tier 8 and up all the time, I find tier 5 and 6 the most fun, please show more 4 to 7 play. Agincourt is a favorite of mine, how about play it some?
For the most part, I like the German Cruiser line, except for Roon, Roon just feels out of place at T9 with her gun layout for me. I understand she's the stepping point for 2 guns turrets to 3 gun turrets on the CA's, but her gun layout feels more similar to the T5 and 6 CL's.
The Hindenburg line generally want to be spending a lot of time open-water booty-tanking at max range (early game, before it's safe to close and make use of the AP); Roon's "2 at the back" layout means even if you're stuck trying to angle super-tight to minimise incoming fire, you're only losing 1/3rd of your DPM.
@@Ace42x Like I said I get it, it just feels awkward to me going from Yorck and Hipper before it. Like I feel more comfortable using Hipper and Hindy than I do with Roon. With Roon I'm left feeling frustrated since the guns feel underwhelming to me, coming from a lot of USN CA/Pasta Cruisers (having done those lines 4-5 times each, German Cruiser lines 2 times).
@@jamesharrington001 Should kinda feel the opposite - both Hipper and Roon need to over-angle to get front guns out (although Roon does need to angle 3 degrees more to get that triple turret working), at which point Roon's extra barrel means just more Dakka. If you're not over-angling in order to tank, Roon's got a two-barrel advantage when kiting. Certainly Hipper felt tangibly worse when it had Eugen's reload, before it got buffed to match Roon's. Compared to other nations the entire Hindie-line HE DPM is "meh" - but the point is that's made up for by the consistency (bonus pen on the HE so fewer shatters; their open-water tankiness means you don't have as much down-time compared to island-campers with shorter ranges, etc). And of course the AP DPM is solid (although less than USN CAs, and without the improved pen angles) when you get to use that. Certainly the gun layout does become more noticeable as a downside when you want to push late-game to use the AP, but again the ship's tankiness compared to something like a Buffalo means you can position more flexibly so that becomes less of an issue.
Omaha, a class that may have been worse in reality than it is in game. Play Asashio, can it still work in today's game? Maybe expand your coal ship reviews to lower tiers. Good training ships for newer players for example around tier V, VI and VII. Aigle, Gallant, Yubari, and others for coal are currently in the Armory. (these I have and used)
For AA, they should give you a button to switch to AA guns instead of main guns like how they do with torpedos and let you use AA guns to try and shoot down the planes.
I gotta say smth about this Video: pq I love your content, I even have the bell on. But I gotta be fair low tier mm is just not fun to watch. Even less so with bots :(
Requesting the Republique again.
We were kinda close last time. :D
I bought the legmod after his last video on it and seriously contemplated asking wg to reset my account so i could get the RP back.
yes pq republique with legmod
With leg mod
Omaha guy let's go
Let's gooooooo we got em
Ship Request - Amagi. PQ can you please show us what this ship can do in good hands? I want to see her brawling with full secondaries 😊

Range spotter plane Des Moins would be funny xD
Omaha is painful when you're very new. Once you learn to play, it's lots of dakka fun to come back to.

Pretty sure he did a video on it for when the pass came out.
Imagine if this guy plays gulio cesare (ship request)

18:12, rare vision of fighers actually engaging planes, add it to the archive
I would love to see Lighthouse Boise.
Sometimes when I play Omaha or Marblehead I can get anywhere between 50,000 - 170,000k damage
Please vote Kirov next week & a different T5 Cruiser every other until he plays them ALL.
You want to Be a better wow Player.. Omaha will teach you. Also Konissberg is my all time favorite. That ship can seal club all day.
K-berg for week after next. Next week "Kirov Reporting!"
fond memories of dev striking an unsuspecting omaha at 15 km range at the start of a battle... fun times :,)
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Omaha. I have unicum/super type stats in it and I was a noob. I humped a lot of islands in it. Even got torp kills in it when people pushed island
Yes! Omaha!
Reset Des Moines last weekend and played Omaha once again. The DPM is just nuts at T5.

If you want a Torp build, you need to use the Mable Head
Gouden Leeuw next?
I'd like to see Hector. It's gotten some buffs since the last time you covered it.
Chkalov! The OP Russian fire starting CV
Its z44 gunboat time
in the honor of the 2 torpedo hits omaha build, day 1 of asking for a secondary anhalt build

plus the napoli is easy to get with coal once you "get good" and it's a bit more forgiving than most cruisers.
Attempt 5 of requesting Bayern, the last dreadnought of the Kaiserliche Marine.
Keep range, keep the HE rain up, don't get hit, and spin to win. It is a tinder box made of citadels.
Farragut! One of my all time favorites
I wouldn't mind a video about the best first premium ships for new players; stick to Tier VI and lower, and only premiums that are currently available in the store for gold, money or coal.
Hey PQ! I really want you to play Asashio. Getting uptiered with it sounds fun no? :)
my favorite ship!
I've been playing on and off since beta, but I'd love to see some beginner vids or some on how to be more effective at mid or high tiers.
I'm grinding through this tech line right now. I like Omaha, nice velocity on the guns and movability. What do you think about the Russian line? If you could do Chapayev would be nice.
I'd love to see harugumo next.
Hizen please. How long since you've played this ship? 😊
Classic Omaha Opening.

Commonwealth cruisers...Brits with HE..creeping smoke though.
Id love to see the zorkiy or kunming, some superships would be cool
Maybe the gearing? It has been some time since you last mentioned it

Weimar the baby mainz
That Bearn player's name was kiss_my_stern and oh boy at the end you did end up spanking it
I would love to see the Yubari, the most accurate ship in the game and its not even close
I still play the marblehead often, Got a 60% win rate with it. Armored_Roman
Russian, USA, but I also like German, French and Brit. But the latter at T5 is rough, but Danae (t4) is good and Leander (t6) gets smoke.
Battleship Mikasa :)
Loved this ship since Navyfield ❤️

please show more 4 to 7 play.
Agincourt is a favorite of mine, how about play it some?
“Omaha” Peyton Manning yells in the distance.
Wanted one for a long time, would love to see Soviet cruiser Mikhail Kutuzov
Bayern is a pretty good mid tier BB. Haven't seen that I don't think in quite some time.
Sub tier VI dds are insanely over powered. You can just casually walk up to a bb and most cruisers and unload torps on them.
Oh.....USS Explodes-a-lot, lol. Yeah I was not sad to leave that one in port.
