    I'm confused about the asparagus. So if you start from seed you have to wait 3 years and if you start asparagus from bare root plant you still have to wait 2-3 years?

    • @dorokaiyinvil5705
      @dorokaiyinvil5705 2 місяці тому +3

      If you start it from seed you'll have to wait 3-4 years
      If you buy a crown only 1-2
      However even with buying crowns it's still recommended to wait 2 years if you grow them you will notice the spears get thicker after each year
      But even if you harvest in the first year it won't kill the plant but may reduce number of future harvests so its really up to the gardener
      There are ppl who have harvested thier asparagus the first year after buying the crown and had no issues on future production but take that with a grain of salt because
      (Results may vary)
      But if you harvest EVERY SINGLE spear or MOST of them the first year
      It will DEFINITELY have a negative impact on growth and productivity in the future
