how exactly did you "complete" that area, when you never found that weapon there in the first place? that just sounds like you skipped shit and were rushing through the game my dude.
I read a story where the day before the assassination happened, Lincoln had a dream where he walked into his house and found a coffin. When he asked his bodyguard who was in the coffin, he replied "You sir"
I heard his wife, Mary, dreamed he was killed a week before and begged him to stay inside. After a few days when nothing happened she decided the dream meant nothing.
I remember hearing the story of martin Luther king I have a dream! It all started when he was a kid and wanted to play with white people but his parents didnt allow him to due to the laws but after martian said it everyone agreed that we should treat everyone fairly no matter the color!
I heard the Kokura story before. My grandmother worked in a bomb factory in Kokura during WWII. Basically, if it weren't for cloud cover, I wouldn't be here today.
The key to the binoculars on the Titanic sounds like post-crash justification to me. If the binoculars were so important, why didn't they just try to break the lock once they realized they didn't have the key? By all accounts, they wouldn't have seen the iceburg reguardless. It was a very calm sea, meaning you couldn't see the iceburg by the whitecaps.
I heard story that the first ironclads clash in history, the famous Battle of Hampton Roads (Monitor vs. Merrimack in US civil war) would not happen, as there was courier with message for Monitor not to leave its spot and not to go to the battle. But some 15 minutes before the courier arrived in the harbour, the Monitor already departed heading to the battle...
there were plenty on the ship itself, just not near the person who was supposed to see shit like a fucking iceberg being in their way, the lookout assumed they could access the binoculars, but clearly cou;dn't when tried, then it was too late..... and BOOM!
Dear Be Amazed: I like the Animation used in Revenge that went too far Part 6. So I suggest to at least use the Animation used there for Other Videos, so you can continue to use it without Breaking Tradition of Videos that usually use another style.
I did read that before sailing there was a fire in the coal room, as bitumin coal can self ignite. This fire caused the steel plates on the ship to turn red, before the fire being put out. As the fire was on the opposite side to the dock the passengers never saw it. This they believe weakened the steel rivets, and when it hit the iceberg the now weakend rivets popped allowing the steel panels to tear open.
I have a vague memory that London did have a type of "fire brigade" in 1666, but only for those with insurance. If you had an insurance, a stone/metal sign was placed on the house.
Merry Christmas, Be Amazed, you never fail to give us interesting facts, good stories and even funny karma or revenges. I hope y'all have further happy holidays and a happy new year. With love and respect from Hungary
I find it highly unlikely that a ship of the statue would have only one binocular and a locker that cannot be opened. This ship should have had hundreds of binoculars and telescopes if they’re traveling through iceberg waters.
It's actually true, I learned it in school. I can't remember all the exact reasons they didnt binoculars/checked often but it was a mix of the reputation of the ship as unsinkable, didn't think there would be any icebergs in the water, and they didn't want to look like it could sink. Partly part of the same reason they didn't have as many life boats as they should have had plus obstructing the view.
I love the fact that Petrov's reasoning was mentioned. Too often it is glossed over and instead attributes Petrov's decision to a gut instinct impulse and not the logical and reasoned choice it really is.
The titanic could have also survived if they hit it head on and compacted the compartments. They've done scientific analysis on that, based on the metals at the time and how it was made.
I don't think that avoiding the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand would have actually done anything to stop WW1, all it would have done is just delay the inevitable for a bit longer. A ton of European countries were just itching for an excuse to fight each other, so they would have found some other reason to fight eventually.
Excuse, but the Great War caused only 8 million dead, what you said was more like 40 million, which might only be possible, if you counted the victims of the Spanish Flu in.
I don't know how you calculated thst..... The total number of deaths in World War I (commonly called the "Great War") is estimated to be around 15 to 20 million, including both military personnel and civilians. Here’s a breakdown: Military deaths: Approximately 8.5-10 million soldiers. Civilian deaths: Around 6-10 million, largely due to war-related famine, disease, and military actions.
FDR is rolling over in his grave! Ike was not the president of the United States of America on the 6th of June, 1944. But considering how great your podcast usually are, a little mistake can be forgiven. Happy Holidays!

It's largely believed that even if they had the binoculars, they wouldn't have seen the iceberg until it was too late anyway.
Yeah it was just too dark for the binoculars to even be useful.
Happy holidays everyone!!!
Спасибо, тебе тоже)

That thumbnail is the perfect example. One of the biggest what ifs in history back in 1962.

The Titanic crashed because a man refused to listen to the nearby ship
I find it highly unlikely that a ship of the statue would have only one binocular and a locker that cannot be opened. This ship should have had hundreds of binoculars and telescopes if they’re traveling through iceberg waters.
If I remember correctly, they didn’t think there were icebergs, and there shouldn’t have been, but it had floated down… or something

Crazy how we were soooo close to WW3
It truly is amazing how one small action can change things in such major ways!
Merry Christmas to Be Amazed 🎁🎁🎁
I'd like to imagine an alternative timeline where everything goes the other way around. Just Marvels "What If" series.
The titanic could have also survived if they hit it head on and compacted the compartments. They've done scientific analysis on that, based on the metals at the time and how it was made.

Only one set of binoculars is criminal.

Wow!

UNDER A MINUTE YEAH
I love watching your videos every time I think about something that is not possible you make it possible 😁
The Titanic one wouldn't have mattered if they had binoculars. It was a flat calm sea with a moonless night. You're not seeing that.
Excuse, but the Great War caused only 8 million dead, what you said was more like 40 million, which might only be possible, if you counted the victims of the Spanish Flu in.

@@annemariemyburgh7252 And if you add the victims of Spanish Flu, that was more less direct consequence of WW I, you can get to some 40 milions.
Merry Christmas Be Amazed and also, Nice work on the art style 😉
I heard that story but that neat
What about making an video about with more focus on the "what if"
