And suddenly, my gloomy, mid-December morning in the Pacific Northwestern U.S. has turned into an absolutely beautiful, early-June day on the Swedish Wilderness Road. Your honesty, Runa, is what makes this channel so uniquely you, and is much-appreciated.
I can recognize SO much of these feelings! Not everyday is a good day, traveling (and much more so with documenting it all) can get tiring at one point, and I think many of us has been here - I have for sure! So thank you for your honesty and I've very much enjoyed the scenic views in this episode. On to the next one!!
Thanks Leo! Exactly. Many long days riding and working - I definitely have an important job to do with finding a better rhythm in how many rest days I need! Looking forward to your episode today! 🥳
Runa, anyone who has traveled for an extended time has ups and downs. Just keep being yourself and the rest will be fall into place. As for the ride, your cinematography blows me away ever time. Such a wonder eye for the beauty to be found and then your skill with the camera and editing. Thank you so much for sharing your journey.
Thank you for your honesty. After miles and miles of seeing pretty much the exact same thing, it becomes almost hypnotic, and you just don't care anymore. Your honesty is very refreshing. Safe travels and have fun. ❤ P.S. It's always going to be mountains for the win!
Tree Mood, thinking you were showing all the symptoms of Tree Mood! Too many trees is not good for the mind, mountains and open landscapes, that the medicine I take! Works every time 👌. Everyone feels down from travelling on their own. Make a point of talking to someone every day, try to include laughter. I know exactly how you are feeling, it will pass and your appetite will increase for more travel on your home return! People camping close to you! I burst out laughing at that! OMG, I’ve said these things so many times. The very reason we select wilderness, so we can have space from others. So glad you said that 👏👏 Great video again, speak your mind, well done you.
Hey Runa, anyone who travels alone for long enough will have bad days, if they say they don't they're lying. The fact your sharing this is not only God for you, but shows others that it's not all sunshine and rainbows. You have had one hell of a year, and had no doubt learnt a lot about yourself. Which is what I think traveling is about, its not about the destination but the journey. Thanks for the hard work you've put in. Never ever be afraid too be yourself. The bad days make the good days sooo much better 😁😁
Thank you very much! 😊 I agree with all of it. I do think it is so important to share this side of traveling as well. If not, we (as moto vloggers) are no better than any other "influencer" showing off a fake reality. Thank you for hanging around, following, and encouraging my journey; I appreciate it a lot! 😊
I don’t think your Swedish followers will be offended, at least not all of them 🤔😂. You know exactly my opinion about in what order to traveling through Sweden and Norway and what the best with Sweden is. When I do trips I always planning to travel through Sweden first and then Norway, because after traveling through Norway Sweden always feels boring. Then when the big day comes and I start my ride I always go directly in to Norway as fast as possible 🤔 Sweden really is fantastic but in a different way maybe not for motorcycle camping. And I don’t think you have to be afraid of being honest with your feelings, you are a human and humans have good days and bad days. I can’t speak for all of your followers but at least some of them loves you exactly as you are.
@@grhmnz4648 Thank you so much, I’m glad to hear that. I believe that every body need to hear nice encouraging things. No matter how confident we looks at the outside, in the inside we all are children that’s gets hurt or feeling insecure about things and choices we do. I know how much it means to me to hear nice things, so I always try’s to say nice things to people around me. 😊
I am glad to hear Jonas! 😁 And reassuring knowing that you are of the same opinion as me. I traveled a LOT in Sweden with my family during summer as a child and always loved it, so I guess it just depends what type of travel one are doing as well. Also glad to know my opinions are well received - I am always a little bit hesitant about sharing "complaining" like this but I think it is important to portrait ALL sides of motorcycle traveling!
@@OffSheGoesADV It’s very important to show all sides of motorcycle travelling. For me it’s just as interesting to hear what you don’t like as it is to hear as what you like. I believe that most of us recognise those feelings and thoughts. It’s a part of being a human, so when we see that other people feels the same it makes us feel “normal” and easier to identify with the person. That’s also makes your videos genuine. Then of course not all videos should be about how awful everything is 😂. You have a good balance 🤩🇳🇴
Boreal forest is definitely an “acquired taste”. I’m glad you’re honest about the highs and lows - it’s much more real and interesting than editing out the lower moments.
Yes, love to not see only happy/positive travel stories. And the forest is not for everyone and that's fine. Did a North Cape trip years ago (6 friends, 6 bikes) and some of us loved the 45 and the infinite number of trees and others just couldn't stand it anymore after a couple of days.
This trip, and year, has been a real learning curve for you ,Runa . Your genuine honesty is to be admired .This series is great to watch ,and with the festive season approaching ,I wish you a Merry Christmas .Thanks for all your hard work this year,it's been a joy to watch , and I doubt I'm alone in thinking that .
Thank you, Graham! 😊 Yes, it really has been. There are so many experiences and lessons I can bring with me in my 2024 adventures to make them even better 😃 Thank you for following along and being a part of this channel; your support and encouragement mean so much! Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones as well 😊
I appreciate yourr personal sharing, its not easy to travel alone - its all good to feel a bit lonely or out of it - Keep up the good work, Love your videos.... take it easy, enjoy ur travels. Two are always netter than one :) Keep enjoying.
Thank you for sharing your journey: the landscapes and your feelings. I'm preparing for a long trip and I often wonder, when I watch other travellers' videos, how they always manage to be so enthusiastic. Thank you for your so "scandinavian" honesty and sincerity.
I totaly understand your mood, had the same driving the E45 going south coming from Kiruna. Km after km of straight road with forest, slight bend and again straight road, combined with rain. Even skipped Vildernisvegen because of that. I really like Sweden, but more the south to middle part i think.
Truth and authenticity are valuable so go ahead and complain a bit when you need to. It's not a burden to watch a pretty young woman complain or ride or eat or anything else. And at the end of the day, you're showing me some of the world I'll probably never see on my own. Looking forward to the next one.
The moment you step out the door, the adventure begins! So many times I reached the point when I have questioned why. A good night's sleep and a sunny morning and the adventure continues.
I just had this discussion with some riding buddies the other day!! Solo riding is great and perhaps even necessary at times. However, I'm fortunate enough to have a BEST friend from childhood to ride on adventures with! There is Safety in numbers!! Plus, we tend to push each other along they way. Also, at the end of the day and even the trip, there is someone else who has experienced it both independently yet together as well.... To me it's what makes the adventure EPIC...👌🏻 We always end up reminiscing about the previous Trips with each new Adventure. Gives you a chance to appreciate or regret the current trip with others who were there or can at least sympathize... For me, a road trip with a few good pals will always be the ones that cut the deepest.... Safe Travels Runa....🙏🏻
I appreciated and enjoyed this episode; both for the honesty, but also the scenery. Think it's quite understandable that having kilometer upon kilometer of only forest immediately by the side of the road can become tiresome. Also looking back in the mirrors will show just about the same as looking straight ahead. As humans some of us are introverts while others are extroverts, still, you are kind of forced to be alone with yourself and your own thoughts on huge stretches of this trip, so not giving you all that much of an option. Neither the reindeers nor the horseflies are all that fun to socially interact with.
Thank you, Jonas! 😊 Yes, you are right. I really don't want to come across as a nagging person, but also think its important to share all sides of my travels. Now that I've experienced this, I can be better prepared for next time, knowing what might come!
Hello Runa, I unterstand you. In July I was in Norway with my bike and tent for 3 weeks. The last days, the weather was bad, I wanted to ride home to Germany. At the beginning of the trip, I was really looking forward to my first trip to Norway. But in the third week, I sometimes felt lonely. I had always met nice people, but only for a short time. But that's the way it is when you keep travelling every day. Best regards, Udo.
yes i can relate that solo travel or riding feels boring to see same view repeatedly.. so what makes travel or even life interesting is company. i used to hike alone but i did one hike with my brother and that was the best hike i ever did.
i hope u comming soon 100,000 subscriber follower. Love your travel by motorbike and beautiful view around you so much and exicited sleep camp in the nature😍😊🎉Fc. from Thailand
I live kinda close to Storforsen, and Runa is absolutely right about it not being very scenic. I mean we have almost endless amounts of awesome gravel roads, but if you don't find millions and millions of pine, spruce, or birch trees fascinating you'll get bored quite quickly. It's not a very stimulating landscape to travel trough.
We call the "handlebars going left right left right" on gravel roads a "Tank Slapper" Runa 😁. You are not the only one with an addiction to mountain views, once you have seen them and you get high up amongst them and see the snow sometimes and the incredible views, they just draw you back again and again. It's why I keep going back to NZ (Australia is pretty flat by comparison). Your Reindeer were so well behaved and you saw a squirrel, what a great day you had. Love your charming honesty Runa. Lovely to see you smiling and cheering again with those mountains all around. We will keep following along where ever you go, it's all a grand tour! Thankyou for sharing with us. 🎄🎄🤩😍🦘🦘👍
Oooh, tank slapper, what a fitting name 😂 I am glad to hear so many of you can relate to my experiences, both good and bad! Thank you for following along 😃
Du er trods alt bare et menneske. Noen dager er fantastiske mens andre er knapp så fine. Synes det er superfint at du er ærlig med deg selv og vi som følger deg på turen.
I'm a fan of your videos. I like seeing the everyday stuff in far-away places. I've never been to Scandinavia, so I don't know what to expect. If the scenery isn't great, please show me the local culture. Like, show me the inside of a Circle K, or tell me about your instant food and let me see what you made. When I first went to Tokyo, I could have spent a lot of time in a 7-11!
You always add a sunny touch to my day when I watch your smiling face and sparkling eyes. Alas, I am over here and you are over there... I would love to ride along with you on an adventure. I am confident now that you let that cat out of the bag there will be a thousand men sending you an application. I am sending you a big hug and thanks once again for the hard work you do bringing us along to places we will possibly never visit. Stay safe, Runa. You are much loved and appreciated by your followers.
Hello, supernice videos videos. I had to laugh about your experience with the 10 meter distance. I had a similar experience in Iceland. Tottaly deserted camping, 4 meters away a new guest! It is possible that after a month of travel your brain is satisfied with all the new and beautifull experiences. Brave girl camping on your own!
TWO!? Two is bananas! And the name of the channels is "Off SHE Goes". Then we would have to change the marketing,, t-shirts and signs. And not to forget the stickers all over Norway to "Of they go". Or Even more crazy. "There they goes". The implications this will bring with multiplayer mode. 😆(I'm not done watching yet. Few episodes left. But really fun to watch both the good and straggle) Keep up the cool work and hope you had alot of fun! well doing it. 😃
I keep coming back to your channel because you are real and that makes it worth while also like your explanations of your encounters thank you have a great day
I love your videos. So glad I found you. And yeah, I'd be annoyed at people camping near me. It's like when I go to a car park and park miles away, and some numpty parks next to me. Go away human!
I have been enjoying your videos you have had a amazing adventure on this journey I think traveling along might drag you down but u keep it going ride safe girl
Wow, the scenery is really beautiful and peaceful. There is no others vehicles, one of the best riding routes. In my country ,you can never get a road without vehicle 😊.thank you for sharing
I would also add as an American man I love the whole videos you put out, even the boring stuff because I get to see what the area is like in Sweden...the houses, shops, roads and etc. It's all part of culture. So thank you for sharing.
Hi Runa. Good video, and what a clueless reindeer! Take cheer. We watch your videos to see where you go, but we also follow you, what you do, what you eat, what you experience, your frustrations, and your excitement. We are with you for all of it. Just be yourself! Be safe, and be encouraged!
Great videos. I love your channel and hope one day upon retirement here to go to Sweden to take a motorcycle tour to my family's beginnings....now our family has been in USA over 100 years.
Very wise move to put the full waterproofs on Runa, that sky looked incredibly threatening😱The Wilderness road was just what you needed, just spectacular👌I'm sure you thought you were back in Norway for a minute😉What a beautiful camping spot you found and what a sunset👌Fantastic video Runa👍
Hello from Washington! I appreciate your honesty about what your life is like on a bike and traveling by yourself. My husband and I are in our 60’s, still riding our dual sport bikes, (we’ve been riding motorcycles together for 42 years now) but we don’t do long trips. Watching your adventures and the lovely scenery is simply awesome for us. Take care. ❤
I have a theory that when someone camps only metres from you that they’re either German or French! I’ve had this happen to me so many times! Great video btw and appreciate the honesty.
A little fatigue set in Runa ! 🙂 Understandable, A shame you couldn't stop & rest up here & there for a few days at a time, when you feel like it. NEED IT 👍 Yes it was becoming bland, But then around the 13th minute, BANG... 'we' took off again, It was back to sensational scenery, This is a great ride/trip, I assume you'll be doing 'The Bridge' to Copenhagen (?) Looking forward to that, we did it in '09, I was awe struck, I'm interested into seeing 'HusQy-HQ-Sweden' too, Good Luck,
Everybody has to find out what's the right way of travelling by him and herself. And of course there are ups and downs but when you managed to find one perfect moment you know why you're travelling at all again. That's at least my experience. So don't worry! ❤
Hi there Off She Goes! I have really enjoyed watching your vids and some of your drone footage, woow! So for now wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas and all the best in the coming New Year. Safe cruising girl and looking forward to seeing whete you go in 2024. And a big thank you for shairing 🫶👍😊.
Great honest episode Runa, have been following you from North Carolina, US. Actually good to hear about your challenges and that means you are challenging yourself, which is how we learn. In years to come you will remember those times with fondness. It's F'in surreal. If you can F bomb, so can I lol. Really, really enjoy your videos
Hi Runa 😊 It’s a normal reaction to get tired and bored after all weeks alone and on camping spots with food cooked on Trangia kitchens. Sweden is approximate 410 000 km2 big and of that is 68% forests. So there are some trees to pass 😂 You do it very well, keep up your fine film and story 😎👍
We have plenty of cool places to ride here in California, and we have a lot of twisty roads. But, there have been times when I got tired of riding on the twisty roads for a long time, and just wanted some straight roads. As always, thanks for posting this video. ✌️
Nothing can compare with Norway in Scandinavia, there is so beautiful and dramatic landscappe and roads, and there is so much changing in landscape as you travel. Sweden and Finland are much forrest and straight roads. As a biker Norway is the land to travel🏍️😊😊😊
The person mood goes high an happy as well as low an sad,,,,,,,its totally normal,,,,,,,,,I'm sure to be in company of friends then low an sad mood will soon change into. High an happy,,,,,,,peace an smile ,,,,,no matter what's happening

If the scenery isn't great, please show me the local culture. Like, show me the inside of a Circle K, or tell me about your instant food and let me see what you made. When I first went to Tokyo, I could have spent a lot of time in a 7-11!
Thanks you for your blog. I weating for new blog.
had a similar experience in Iceland.
This trip is so beautiful. :) Cant wait to do it on a bike :D
Vielen Dank für die schönen Eindrücke, auch für die sehr persönlichen.
Es ist viel Arbeit, so eine Serie zu erstellen. 👍
UA-cam referrred me to your videos today. I've watched two and I really liked them. I've already subscribed to the channel. Good adventures to you. 👍
Thanks UA-cam for leading you here, and thank you for subscribing 😃 Hope you'll enjoy the coming adventures as well!
Hope everything's OK and looking forward to your upcoming adventures
You are human, the lows are part of the adventure and make the highs even better. Keep it real. Great work and the emotion makes it more endearing.
The insect stuck in the glove seems to be a horsefly, specifically a Hybomitra tarandina (Reinsdyrklegg in Norwegian)
Take care dear🎉🎉
Good job Runa!
Please buy a Termacell. It is really awesome against mosquitos. I dont go enywere without mine❤
nice place
Wow, the scenery is really beautiful and peaceful. There is no others vehicles, one of the best riding routes. In my country ,you can never get a road without vehicle 😊.thank you for sharing
I would also add as an American man I love the whole videos you put out, even the boring stuff because I get to see what the area is like in Sweden...the houses, shops, roads and etc. It's all part of culture. So thank you for sharing.
Lots of love from nepal to motivated people✌️😍
Nice.....
Very nice vid. Tack 😊
Top Runa 👍🏼👌🏼🤩
Sweden is pretty! Reminds me of the Highlands of the Appalachias and river canyons. Oh, and Klim is pronounced like "clīmb" Long i.
that poor Bee haha Stuck in your Gloves 😜 i remembered that when you kick a small bugs lol Runaaaaa !😆
I mean when you kicked that bug at your bike 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 was memorable moment 🤣😁
Great Video.
Wow…. Amazing scenery 👍
I enjoy watching you because you are authentic. Keep up the awesome work, and dont be too hard on yourself with those down days :)
It's been a long journey, I'm a little happy watching it, I hope you stay healthy and stay enthusiastic, continue your journey...👍
Hi Runa love the scenery and the rapid that is Awesome 😊
I've done this route a few years ago, Im a northener so getting to it isnt too far away, Nice stretch of road for sure
Back then when I was a kid that green mosquito coil was used so much in India 😂❤
We used them a lot in my childhood as well, brings back good memories 😃
Take care. ❤
Wow, 42 years! I hope that can be me one day! 😊 Thank you for following along, and safe trips to both of you!
I have a theory that when someone camps only metres from you that they’re either German or French! I’ve had this happen to me so many times!
Great video btw and appreciate the honesty.
I’ve experienced people camping close to me like that also. Perhaps it makes them feel more secure? Love your videos. Stay safe.
A little fatigue set in Runa ! 🙂
Understandable, A shame you couldn't stop & rest up here & there for a few days at a time, when you feel like it. NEED IT 👍
Yes it was becoming bland, But then around the 13th minute, BANG... 'we' took off again, It was back to sensational scenery,
This is a great ride/trip,
I assume you'll be doing 'The Bridge' to Copenhagen (?) Looking forward to that, we did it in '09, I was awe struck,
I'm interested into seeing 'HusQy-HQ-Sweden' too, Good Luck,
Merry Christmas RUNA, I've enjoyed your trip this year, thanks.
Nice video 😁🤙
Great honest episode Runa, have been following you from North Carolina, US. Actually good to hear about your challenges and that means you are challenging yourself, which is how we learn. In years to come you will remember those times with fondness. It's F'in surreal. If you can F bomb, so can I lol. Really, really enjoy your videos
Hi Runa 😊 It’s a normal reaction to get tired and bored after all weeks alone and on camping spots with food cooked on Trangia kitchens. Sweden is approximate 410 000 km2 big and of that is 68% forests. So there are some trees to pass 😂
You do it very well, keep up your fine film and story 😎👍
We have plenty of cool places to ride here in California, and we have a lot of twisty roads. But, there have been times when I got tired of riding on the twisty roads for a long time, and just wanted some straight roads. As always, thanks for posting this video. ✌️
Nothing can compare with Norway in Scandinavia, there is so beautiful and dramatic landscappe and roads, and there is so much changing in landscape as you travel.
Sweden and Finland are much forrest and straight roads.
As a biker Norway is the land to travel🏍️😊😊😊
Hi Runa, despite being an incredible adventuress we all need recharge days to boost our spirit. Keep up the good work, love following your travels!
