Fun Fact about this episode:
The writer (Stephan Moffat) said that the idea came from an experience he had irl. Basically he was walking home, and he had to take a detour which brought him through a cemetery. When he was walking, he noticed a statue of an angel which was surrounded by chains on a pedestal. He took the same route a couple of months later, and the statue was gone. He talked to the manager, out of curiosity, only to hear that there was no record of an angel statue ever having been acquired or being in that spot.
Pretty cool, right?
This is my ALL-TIME FAVORITE Doctor Who episode. This is the episode that secured me as a Whovian. I loved the episodes before this, but THIS episode made me a FAN!
I have a t-shirt that says: "People assume time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff"
The scene with Billy as an old man in the hospital was shot some time after the scenes were shot with Billy as a young man. This meant the actor playing the younger Billy then had to redub all his lines, because of the older actor's accent. For some reason they missed one line, which means that Billy actually has three different accents in the same episode: stronger (as a young man), lighter (as an old man), and completely different (briefly in 1969). 😁
I'm posting this random factoid to the reupload to help with the algorithm. 😀
Such a great episode & now we will never look at statues the same ever again.

Michael Obiora (young Billy) had to redo all his scenes when Louis Mahoney (old Billy) was cast. He did this in order to match Louis' accent and cadence thus making the character more believable.
So so so been waiting to see this reaction love love love this one

@@QuantumLockedInStone I don’t think it is, I’m pretty sure they’ve said that they’re all actors in blink and time of angels/ flesh and stone. The first time we get an actual prop statue is in god complex.
