great video my guy. been trying to start this business since august with little to no luck. also labor prices are much higher in real life. the cheapest casters ive found in the nj/ny area charge $5/g and $40 to polish rings. and they take 4-5 days to finish each piece. gonna try to do each step of the process myself since im having trouble outsourcing it to others
try elite casting they will charge you .25 cents to set stones and have less casting labor then $5 a gram

if funny because when I start selling jewelry I started with silver and those people where extra cheap , pretty much coming to the table with copper money , I took a break and added gold and those customers hardly ask questions just buy....

@@davidcasillas5624 I started with IG and using influencers bad choice but you live and learn, anyways I was building up my following doing custom silver pieces hand crafted waxes , and people in that tax bracket are very cheap and complain about anything , then I took a break saved my money to get into gold and diamonds most of these clients were older , but if a pieces cost a couple grand they had no problems sending half or being paid in full upfront so from my experience high quality always beat out the penny pinchers

Thank you man for all these great videos. I’ve been trying to start this business for a while, I have a printer and even have some files for some pieces. But I am having trouble finding casters that charge a decent prince for casting. They markup up $8-$10 more than spot price. I am here in California and I have yet to find one. If anyone has had any success would they mind sharing?
Save up for your own casting equipment, that’s what I’m doing I just bought a vacuum caster

So I watched all your vdos and still have some questions.
These clips are talking about $100+ per piece. What if I want to do this but having a lower budget and would like to produce maybe 20…50…100+ pieces that will be sell no more $50/piece? No stone / lab stones OK.
Can we apply some of your steps and ask the factory to lower quality to affordable range ? Can we do mass produce with them as well or we need to find a new manufacturer ?
I also assume that you will need to print out all the sizes you want for each style (example same style ring in size 6, 7, 8) ?
50 are a peice you can cast brass instead and plate it in yellow gold, white gold or rose gold. Brass is like 5 bucks for like 2 lbs or something stupid cheap. Silver is the next best option at like 23 bucks for ounce. Then when u can upgrade, then do 10k solid gold. You can also increase prices alot by getting moissanite and working your way up to diamonds as your end goal.

I need one too and what's worst is that the cheaper ones want an EIN number and a reference of people and I would like to refer slava and see if that works but they also want an established website before they would even work with you as they are "full" and won't work with anymore new start up companies.
I went into Seybold building and its like they don't want you to be there unless you are going to buy ready-made jewelry. It seems as though the casters and manufacturer's are bought out to only give competitive pricing to the stores inside the building.

I Went to the Jewelry district In LA and talked to a couple different casters and all were 2.50 on top of spot price, so you know why this is??
Because people want to rip you off, and also because you can't expect the seller not to charge and not make money..
I currently pay 6 dollar and yeah its kinda normal alot of places that i called had this price or similar price.. he has more experience and knows better places..

sometimes they raise the raise the prices when dealing with new people,. when you deal with them for a while start asking for lower prices
@@SlavaTVOfficial Brother im from a complete different country, im from Germany, but because of your Videos, i found a all in one place in LA that i produce my stuff, they overcharge a little but i get my pieces done fast and i can sell them for a good profit in Germany because our Jewelry prices are at least 30% higher then in USA.

I was trying this last week in philadelphia on jewelers row, no one could point us to where we could get the 3d prints casted in silver. When we did find a few places they quoted us $250-$350. The same size pendant is selling on ebay for about $50-$60. tried a few spots on alibaba and was quoted $300 . The pendant is about the size of someones thumb . No diamonds or gold . just silver. I dont know where we are going wrong here

easiest way would be to store them in a shopify fulfillment center which would be linked to your Shopify store

Nice video bro, I am from Miami and the jewlery district is in downtown. There is a building call SEYBOLD I went there and those casting company wanted to charge $52 per 18k gold. In the page you suggest the gram is at $43 so they are charging $9 extra, is way to much. They asked for my resell certificate so it's OK cuz I have one but do you know why are they charging that much?

Qq: I keep having some suppliers want a mold fee.. is this common or should I avoid them as for samples id be paying additional fees making the piece cost more than its worth.
