The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and the Institute of Politics sat Harvard's Kennedy School of Government created the John F. Kennedy New Frontier Awards in 2004 to honor young Americans who are changing their communities - and the country - with their commitment to public service.
Mayor Pete will make a great President. Our country needs someone exactly like him. He is brilliant, honest, humble and erudite. May the wind be behind his back.
Such a humble, intelligent, honest, kind and visionary individual, he is exactly what America needs as a leader.
His thoughtful optimism and faith in Americans brings me hope. I want him for my president.
Every time I hear Mayor Pete speaks, I feel hopeful for the future. He is such a smart and humble person. His past experiences and accomplishments speak for themselves. He is the right person to unite the country, and the world.
I hope our future is kind to him. I believe he knows and accepts who he is. Can we?
As an old white straight lady, we sure can! It's about CONTENT OF HIS CHARACTER.
Him being gay does not define who he is. I agree its the content of character and his amazing accomplishments that define him. He's only just begun!
Your question reminds me of when PRESIDENT OBAMA first came on the seen years ago. Were we ready for him? The first mixed race African American family? YOU BETTER BELIEVE WE WERE! So now for Mayor Pete and his husband Chasten ... yes we are ... YES WE CAN! Change is in the wind and the time has come. These two brave souls have put their lives on the line for us ... for our country. They have stepped up and are walking the walk. "BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE." (Harvey Milk has to be smiling down on Pete & Chasten👍)

So much seems lost in America's welfare today. I keep my faith in this man's mind & heart. May the inner guidance he has been personally enjoying, which he shares with us and the rest of the world, ceaselessly accompany Mayor Pete and all he does.
He has such depth of understanding and clarity of heart and mind. I wish they'd play this as part of his past. "The city was ready to believe in itself again if it was just asked in the right way." The same can be said about America and Pete knows how to ask and he will have the benefit of having learned so much - and one of the many things Pete knows how to do is learn - and guide and beckon. He is the wisest person in this field of current candidates and he inspires as he leads.
It's 2020, and I'm watching this 2015 video. Does this guy age?
