They're on a platform where you can throw endless slurs around and they didn't even use ONE of them. It's ridiculous! UA-cam conservative "comedy" at least has the balls to go that far
Because you have to AT LEAST contain a modicum of intelligence when trying to properly satirize something (also, a level of self-awareness which conservative types GENERALLY don’t possess AT ALL). If it’s just empty name-calling and bad words then the only people who are going to like your show are going to be 8 year-olds.
That's literally what I thought it was for a second when it first came across my feed! This dunks on conservative ideology way more than it does on "wokeness".

The best conservative comedy show was that time Kanye West showed up on the Alex Jones show acting so crazy, Alex Jones had to be the voice of reason to Kanye's pro-Hitler mania. "You think Clockwork Orange is about Jews???"
I love how desperately he was trying to change the subject throughout, with Kanye always bringing it back to Hitler. There's a point where they're talking about if German cars or Japanese cars are better, and Kanye just says "the Germans had a really cool leader once" completely unprompted.
We already got a perfect animated series with conservative characters and it was called "King of the Hill". Except the show didn't portray Hank Hill as 100% right on everything he complained about and have every other character exist solely to prop him up. It is wild how shows like this and Mr. Birchum fail to grasp even the most basic ideas of character development.
What is also missing from these shows is that Hank Hill wasn’t obsessed with identity politics or a reactionary. Or an immoral person. If anything he was moral to the point of causing unneeded inconvenience for himself. He’s just a nice guy regardless of any more liberal disagreements you could have with his politics. He wasn’t right 100% of the time. However, the show does show him being correct in many instances. And even if he is wrong, it’s not just played for laughs. You can generally see where he’s coming from. It takes his conservative views seriously and not used as a punchline
It's ironic how the "anti-woke" people proclaim that comedy has lost its edge, when stuff like this and Mr. Birchum is the best they could come up with.

They aren't even in the same conference and have 0 history together lmao, my only guess is that they mixed up the Jets and Giants. These people cant even succeed at being relatable and pretending to like "normal" American stuff like football.
Heck the rivalry just within New York State between Jets fans, Giants fans, and Bills fans has started wars and broken homes. If They want to make it relatable to blue collar America they could set it in a Bills Country border town like Utica and have the kid defecting to the Giants.
If it was real it would be eagles/giants/cowboys slander. My guess is these guys are so dumb they chose the wrong New York team? Or is the joke that the jets are bad? Make it make sense…
Like if the joke is “the jets are bad”, well so are the commanders. They’ve both been awful the last 20 years, only time the former redskins were ever good in the Snyder era was before RG III got hurt. These guys don’t know ball even a little
I like how half the jokes are just restating that Norm threatened the school board to the point he was arrested and charged and is now on Parole because of his bigotry. This is suppose to be the main character for the audience to identify with lol
The other half is literally just complaining about "gay beer" confusion about how genders work and finally getting aggressive at a person for refusing to drink alcohol due to being underage. I am becoming increasingly convinced that the entire show was AI created.
Eh, i don't like this show at all, but in general, a comedy show with an mc doing wild shit like this is pretty normal. The problem is that the whole premise is a poor excuse for "satire" when it's really just propaganda.
@@asmodeusguys4472 I would agree with you that main characters doing wild stuff is normal for comedies however the issue is that we never got to see the shenanigans the mc was up to and so we also don't know what exactly happened, all we know is he got wild enough to get house arrest implying he is straight up in the wrong, a criminal, aggressive and overall unlikable. There's nothing here to either redeem him so the audience can identify or empathise with him nor to laugh at him for acting a fool and getting his comeupance. Because conservatism and populism are the antithesis of humour. Even things from decades ago that nowadays are problematic in all sorts of ways (racist, homophobic, misogynistic) but were considered hilarious at the time, weren't really written by contemporary conservatives. Rather by average people who at the time had normalized these racist or homophobic ideas. Conservatism is very frequently correlated to a lack of creativity and imagination. Anti-woke will never be funny, because they're more focused on being contrary to "wokes" than actually writing humour. It's the same reason why "woke pandering" will also never be funny (like Velma).
@@testacals Populism isn't exactly actually appealing to the majority of people. It's attempting to do so at any cost, regardless of any principle, consistency or belief. Someone doing something with mainstream appeal wouldn't be a populist. Someone betraying what they believe in only to attempt to appeal to the masses is populism. South Park's jokes make fun of woke movements, but they're not anti-woke 99% of the time. They just point out dumb or inconsistent stuff within the American leftist movements. South Park isn't really anti most things they make fun of, except Scientology, vague authoritarianism and vague bigotry. They're much more neutral than people tend to think. Making fun of ideas or groups of people isn't necessarily being anti them, as jokes and humour can be self aware enough to bypass stuff like that.

My older sister is nonbinary and she finds it really weird to call an animal nonbinary. Like that's not something animals can consciously decide or identify as. I love how content like this always portrays queer kids as these smart alecks who are frustrated their parents aren’t “woke” enough when in reality, it’s the kids who have to constantly listen to their parents complain about the world
They're trying so hard to make Chaz the non-binary kid a caricature people are meant to nod and say "ugh fucking wokies" but they're actually the coolest and most interesting character. I know, that the "actually, that is one of my pronouns" is supposed to make fun of pronouns, but to me it sounds like a sarcastic come-back to say to a bully, to show they've got no power here. Then there's the design that looks like something outta Cyberpunk 2077/Edgerunners or some other cool sci-fi story. They're also a secret agent, AND they've got so much charm and suavee that they need to just look at a girl to have her weak in her knees.
LOL It's funny because I first saw a clip and I knew they were trying to make fun of them, from personality to the appearance, but I was like "but they are actually cute?". It's always funny in shows they tried making you hate a character but the total opposite tends to happen.
It's like they accidentally made them the "Lionel Jefferson" of the show. Actually, this whole show feels like it was made by someone who watched All in the Family and didn't realize that Archie Bunker was the butt of the joke.
It's obvious that this "show" is mimicking All In the Family, which is just incredibly ironic to me, since, to my knowledge (haven't seen the show that much, but this is what I heard), All In the Family is a show where the main character is stuck in his ways, who is portrayed as the guy in the wrong for his bigoted views, yet this "show" presents the main character as a "voice of reason", and the one who is always right. It's so funny, it's like they watched All In the Family, and couldn't comprehend the fact that the show didn't actually support the views of the main character.
A bunch of episodes are free on youtube, its worth a watch. Yeah, conservatives have utterly missed the point of the show, its about a bigot learning to not be an asshole. The south park guys said Archie bunker was the basis for cartman, just dialed to 11 and in the form of a psychotic little boy who doesnt learn those lesson.
I agree. From what I can tell the show was heavily centered on the clash between older more traditional value and ideas and newer more progressive ideas as there was almost always conflict between the older parents and the younger kids
Yeah, Archie Bunker's bigoted opinions are usually the butt of the joke. Plus Archie has a lot of elements to him as a person which gives him a weird sort of charm. Like despite his bigotry his odd friendship with his neighbors the Jefferson's son Lionel. I always think of King of the Hill too with this kind of protagonist . Hank Hill is fairly conservative but is just a good guy who will usually make an effort to understand others. Like him trying to be supportive of his son even though Bobby is pretty different to him. And the show has fun teasing him for some of his more conservative opinions. Hank is just a great guy who only has hatred for repairmen lol. King of the Hill was a great show.
The real life Archie (Carroll O'Connor) was the exact opposite of his character in AiTF. He absolutely hated racists and racism lmao. You can tell when people don't actually study the things they watch on TV because Archie was the butt of the joke in the show. They completely missed the point of his character and the entire show.

I've seen other conservatives try to make fun of pronouns/gender politics and the whole bit they come up with is literally just some character listing their pronouns and apparently there's a joke there somehow? They have no grasp on how satire and humor works, it's so embarrassing. Whereas Jimmy Carr made a joke about gender politics "Recently I became a dad, yep I have a kid, although we're waiting til they turn 18 before we have a gender reveal party, just to be sure!" like that's actually a joke
The dumbest joke is see from Edgy People is just stating a position they have as if to say isn't that silly. Like Going I am gay and A Natzi. That sounds dumb but if you think about it yes you can be both gay and think being gay is immoral its hard but its not uncommon. I said that I was gay and grossed out by gay people before and people thought I was joking. Like the idea of believing in something I know is dumb is impossible. I can both beleive in ghosts and think people who Believe in Ghosts are stupid why I can't turn off my irrational fear of ghosts
You know what would be a somewhat decent joke? Let the conservative main character ban literally all pronouns in his house and force everyone to only talk in a way that doesn't include any pronouns. That would be a nice way to show how nonsensical this pronoun drama actually is and that banning basic grammar is just censorship for the sake of being petty.
Ok. They have literally fired every single "joke" that conservatives have on wokeness during this very short trailer. And they plan a full-fleshed sitcom, possibly multiple seasons ? Interesting... 😏
4:23 it’s funny that he says “girls aren’t girls and men aren’t men”, like why not say “women aren’t women” or “boys aren’t boys” to substitute one of those clauses, for consistency’s sake? I say it’s funny, because it’s really weird how people can’t bring themselves to say “women” even in a context when it would be more than appropriate to do so. EDIT: A reply to this comment corrected me on a possible influence for this quote.
Because the groups they're most concerned about are girls and men. To conservatives the worst thing that can happen is a young woman being removed from the pool of people they see as sexually available, so they see girls as the biggest potential "victims" of transitioning. On the other side they see men as predators and competitors, so the only imaginable thing to them for one to transition is out of malice or self-inflicted delusion. Boys and women can't be effectively painted as solely deviants or victims, so they don't bear mentioning. It's why the issue of trans girls in schools is all about sports and equity and trans men over 25 might as well not exist to these people.
Imagine being a multi billionaire and on the Forbes 100 list for richest people alive, and you allow this Goanimate ask show to be the first sit-com. I'd be ashamed
Allow? It's not like Musk (edgelord crybaby) has any grounds to ban the show. Certainly not without blatantly contradicting his supposed "free speech" values. The New Norm is not officially endorsed or commissioned by the X corporation or Musk; the creators are just sucking up to them to desperately attract conservatives (which isn't even working).
9:47 "I'm allergic to dogs." "It's okay. Billy is an emotional support dog. And is non-binary." "Oh, okay. Good dog." ?????? Guess that makes them unallergic
At least "Bruce Almighty" knew that the Christian aspect should take a backseat to its comedy and story. Not that that's explicitly a Christian film, mind you...
Ugh... that Elon Musk inclusion. "Thank God for Elon Musk and his shitpost memes." That was a clear attempt to slob Elon's nob up so that he'll artificially increase their engagement. There couldn't be a clearer sign that the writers of this show *don't* respect Elon Musk and think he's an easily-manipulated narcissist baby. In fact, the whole project felt like passionless pandering. As if they didn't actually believe in any of this, just that if they said the right things they'd instantly get money and acclaim.
What I find so perplexing about the Beer episode is that the main character is mad that the package looks different. It would have made more sense if they CHANGED the flavour of the beer for pride month (which, I dunno, would be funny if they made a joke that it tasted like semen or something...) but never once do they imply that the beer tastes different, so it's literally just an adult going "Waaahhh! The package looks different!".

When a new conservative comedy drops I play a game called "How Fast Can You Hate a Trans?" Norm pulled an astonishing 36 seconds. Might be a new record. 4 trans jokes in under the first minute, a total of 18 trans jokes, 5 of which are just referring to trans people as "it" "that," or "pronoun", for an average of one trans joke every 8 seconds. It's hard to tell what counts as a joke here, but I'm fairly confident 3/4ths of this pilot's punchlines were aimed down at trans people. That concept is not new, either. It's basically "All in the Family" except this show is explicitly supportive of the main character, who is clearly not Archie Bunker. Carroll O'Connor and Norm MacDonald are rolling in their graves right now.
I feel like that's basically what King of the Hill was. Having your main character be a sort of out-of-touch conservative (and still likeable) can definitely be pulled off. It's beyond obvious to point out that The New Norm doesn't seem to have the competency to do such, unless the show turns out to be triple-sleeved in irony or something. Is this just in general, or is this about the Pinocchio remake (where the blue fairy was cast as a black woman, but had less scenes than she did in Disney's original film)
So according to "Norm" it's okay to hate transgenders, but it's no longer okay to hate black people? Or is it just not cool to admit that they hate black people too? I really don't follow the logic of selective bigotry.

@@Corredor1230 What ? appealing to majority of the people is antitheisis of humor ?? Also, south park made anti-woke jokes. They were funny.

They look like a Borderlands character
The only thing that funny about this show is saltydkan on Twitter ratio on that account that tweet "norm i edge to your show" over and over
It's obvious that this "show" is mimicking All In the Family, which is just incredibly ironic to me, since, to my knowledge (haven't seen the show that much, but this is what I heard), All In the Family is a show where the main character is stuck in his ways, who is portrayed as the guy in the wrong for his bigoted views, yet this "show" presents the main character as a "voice of reason", and the one who is always right. It's so funny, it's like they watched All In the Family, and couldn't comprehend the fact that the show didn't actually support the views of the main character.
The famous episode with Sammy Davis Jr. is a great example of how you described the show. He practically made fun of the main character's viewpoint.

They must be used to saying "Females"

@@R4WRY_Creepy_Claws I’ll give the golden pride pin for coolest joke to Norm.
The new norm speed running transphobia
The military pup guy is actually a friend of mine. He retired from the Army after 30 years of honorable service. Right wingers on Twitter were demanding that he be called back into service so that they can dishonorably discharge him and have all of his retirement stripped from him. Unreal!
the robot says offensive when norm calls chaz "that", but chaz said it's one of their pronouns?
What annoys me about these shows is that if they actually had good writers they could be funny. The concept is not unsavable.
That Elon cameo feels like something out of a fake show in GTA or The Boys.
Norm MacDonald is laughing derisively in his grave
I didn't even know he was sick
I was actually relieved to find out this show had nothing to do with him.
"thank god for Elon Musk and his shit post memes"
"What are you retarded?"
The old norm is in his grave and deformed
Got termanlly ill and then he died!
His life is at an end so thank god for elon musk!
X brainchips will make him a zombie!
Norm MacDonald was actually conservative politically, he was also just, y'know, a reasonable and intelligent person that kept that shit to himself.
The dog is honestly fucking iconic and deserves their own show
Thank you for respecting fictional nb dogs pronouns, as a non binaey person i owe you a woke beer
@@jackpot42 fuck yeah. spray it in my face
I will never get over how the black guy looks like an elsagate character.
I definitely can't unsee that now 😂
or a GoAnimate character (so, awful Family Guy rip-off art style, not unique in any way)
Olivia! A big huge THANK YOU for editing this! It can't be fun to edit a video together about a piece of media that explicitly hates you, but you did it anyway. You're in my thoughts just as much as Adum and I do love hearing from you each month when you update your patrons. ❤ Keep pushing through, we all love you!
@@Divers1990 you want some fries to go with that salt, hun? For all the time it took you to type it didn't convince me to be more Adumphobic 😉
Personally I'd find it really funny if it was this low budget atrocious production lmfao, this is on the level of conspiracy theorists speaking nonsense, I love this stuff
@@anecro Okay, but it's easier to laugh at this sort of thing when you don't have to deal with the actual hate in your real life.
Oh, I drew mpreg of that show! Good times! :D
Based.
the trans/non binary character being named Chaz is not talked about enough
Feels like something you would see on the TV in GTA 5. Toothless and cliche, but still obviously meant as a joke. This is meant as a joke, right?..
@@Divers1990🦨
I suppose the original Scooby Doo and maybe Flintstones had laugh tracks, which I guess is indicative of how fucking old the makers of this thing are.
Nice animation continuity at 9:21, where the ankle monitor changes legs lol.
This show is actually pretty entertaining if you view it as a parody of anti-woke shows instead of a sincere one, and imagine the show is portraying Norm in the wrong instead of the character we’re supposed to identify with.
I love how this show and Mr birchum give both characters black friends and it comes off as a desperate cry of them saying "were not racist see"
Theory: I think the black guy is a raging alcholic and his kid doesn't talk to him anymore.
This is not Satire! This is just garbage.
I don't know about anti-woke but it's definitely anti-comedy
The main "character" clearly has a very north east, new england accent, but the theme song is shitty radio country?
YMS mentioned the same thing I noticed about the video.
WHY did Norms friend assume the pronoun person had anything to do with his daughter transitioning?
Old things I understand good, new things I don't understand bad. This is what makes me brave. Please clap.
The song sounds like it was sung by a Confederate vocaloid.
I like how having a black friend is like a seeing an unicorn to a conservative.
Hearing that wack country song praising god for Elon Musk was the lamest and saddest thing I've heard in a long time. It did genuinely make me laugh thought due to how sad it sounds.
I love my woke disney who are so woke they rewrote scripts so a black actor was having less screentime in order not to scare racists watching their movies abroad. Fun times.
Is this just in general, or is this about the Pinocchio remake (where the blue fairy was cast as a black woman, but had less scenes than she did in Disney's original film)
@@artCharlesI’m pretty sure it’s about Finn/John Boyega who talked about dealing with a lot of racist treatment from Disney.
@@Birdyboys Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
I'm glad you're back, and I understand the time break. It's never easy.
There’s more than Mr Birchum and The New Norm:
The EXtremist Files
Freedomtoons
Common sense soapbox
So according to "Norm" it's okay to hate transgenders, but it's no longer okay to hate black people? Or is it just not cool to admit that they hate black people too? I really don't follow the logic of selective bigotry.
"Gaaay BEer!!! I want Noorrmmall BEEeeeR!!!!", Norms says as he turns to the camere and with big continuous 8bit, 16bit low, ultra high quality, stock, forced, Seinfeld, funny, free, laugh track issuing for all eternity as dog hmpf leg joke, the show.
