Great Results very Impressive. I just got the New Milwaukee M18 Cordless 5inch 15mm DA polisher & am VERY Happy with it, I have gotten Incredible results with it. I still think this tool definitely NEEDS to be in my arsenal as well.

Not sure if Flex will rush. But they did released the current one prematurely. And 10 years at that. LOL

Great video Sandro. I'm waiting for a new Mille. I am though interested in how it compares to the Bigfoot DAs either 21 or 15mm. The factors would be user fatigue and general speed of correction.
To be honest Sandro, i prefer the Flex XC 3401 Vrg , Flex XCE 10-8 and my Makita PO 6000c( the best forced rotation dual action polisher ever owned!) Makita 780rpm against Flex Vrg 480, against Rupes Mille 535 . I have sold all of them i am currently testing a High end Chinese gear driven polisher which has 1200 watts, very smooth, quiet and powerful! Non tiring as the Flex VRG aka the beast or the Rupes Mille! Too be honest I didn't like the Mille, ergonomics are very bad compared to the Flex, and Makita .
Much smoother machines especially the Makita!!!! Now we have a new kit on the block The Renny Doyle Gear Driven Forced rotation dual action polisher made by Dynabrade called the DB8! Great review 👌🏼

Wow, I did not know Rupes introduced a gear driven machine. I was eyeing a Flex, but now I have to do some research on this machine to see which will best suite me.
I find the ergonomics of the flex far better. From the hand placement being larger and flatter to the trigger that's never been a problem accidentally bumping thus knocking it out of the lock mode. Both of which I do no t like on the Mille. That said, I do like the smoothness of the Mille and it's ability to allow me to get closer to edges more precisely. Lastly, while I too find correction speeds nearly the same, it is nice knowing the Mille is moving faster thus likely doing more work.
In terms of your cutting, use CarPro Clear cut with wool. You'll correct that section 90-100% with an easy 3-4 passes. I use it with Lake Country's Purple wool and find it just blasts through even the toughest marring.

Good review. Flex have been on about a 3401 replacement for 3 years... but havent finalised anything. It's called the XCE 9-8 150 if you want to check it out
Very interresting. It's a shame it's not out yet. I asked Flex UK and they hinted at 2019 release which just seems to be their standard reply. "Sometime next year" lol. A refined 3401 with a non metalshroud and lighter that could support the lake country 4 inch backing plate would be perfect
I'm about to pull the trigger on a forced rotation, keep researching the Flex/Makita/Rupes. Now you've got my siding with the Millle, then I read a comment below on the new unreleased Flex XCE 9-8 150....now MORE research ! I've got 4 DA's and a rotary plus my Nano Autotriz which runs on the rotary.....I wish I had Trump money :-)
Rupes mille is an awesome and user friendly machine only downside im having with it is that it is heavy when im polishing roofs because it's really hard to keep it flat when im lifting my hands high up exept that it's an awesome machine ;)
I have always had issues polishing roofs with rotaries, and the 3401. I'm just too short!
Hi Sandro, other than the Rupes pads, which cutting and polishing foam pads do you find the smoothest?
I do on avg 3-5 coatings/week. I have both 3401 and Mille. I just got the Mille. Not sure if it’s just knew to me, even tho I started on rupes before ever moving to flex.
But in my opinion, the Mille seems to finish a little better but doesn’t cut as good. And oddly enough I feel the beast or 3401 is a lot easier to control. The Mille wants to run or gets grabby far more like it doesn’t glide as easy.
Rupes is def smoother tho.
I’m a give it some more time before I make a final decision.
How is it feeling so far? My 3401 was stolen after 10 years of ownership, so now I'm deciding between the new Flex XCE or the Mille

Whats the physical size of the LK900E and LH19E vs LHR15 MKII if you happen to know? Looking for storage and would like to buy it prior to purchasing these tools.
I've only used rotary buffers but that was years ago and now looking for a dual action polisher for paint correction and maintenance on my vehicles I would like a quality machine somewhere around the 300 to 400 dollar price range the two main things I'm looking for is a machine that accepts a 5-inch pad( without any kind of washer modification) and a machine that does not stall very easy. what would be your suggestion? Is it this machine or would you suggest something else thank you so much for your help

I use both of these at work and prefer the flex but I can’t use the Rupes it whips my arms around hardly stays flat never have that issue with flex I wonder if it could be the pad they are always centered and everything
Also you should have tried those machine with german aluminum abrasives like school and sonax….
woud like to see a reviw of the flex 3401 copy from china forensic detailing compared it to flex 3401 said no differance

I’m in the market for a good DA polisher, and looking between the Flex 3401 and the Mille. I’m just using this for my own cars, so won’t be needing a workhorse to do many cars. I already have a PC that I have been using for the last 7 years or so, and it works great on minor defects/scratches, but lacks the oomph to get rid of slightly deeper scratches on harder paint- even with using aggressive Mazerna compounds and heavier yellow cutting pads. That being said, I do want a polisher that is strong enough to take out defects that my PC cannot. Any thoughts?
Car Craft Auto Detailing - Thanks for the advice. I actually didn’t think about the larger throws being more efficient on larger flat panels, but it makes sense given the larger surface area it covers. That being said, I ended up getting the 3401 as my heavy hitter, but now also considering the Rupes LHR15 Mk3 as my all-around free-spin DA to replace my PC. Is the Rupes LHR15 worth the price, or should I look at cheaper brands (like the Griots G15 Boss)?

Great review! Love the info. May I suggest that you keep the polisher OFF the tape as much as possible as some of the tape can be carried around onto the surface that you are trying to correct or polish. Just saying : )

Just ordered the Rupes Mille. Hope I like it more than my Flex 3401, which is taxing on the body.
Can you elaborate on this? How is the Flex taxing on the body? I have the Rupes 21 that died on me and decided I want a forced rotation, so began eyeing the Flex, but have been spoiled by the smoothness of the Rupes. My concern is how it may affect my hands. I did not know about this machine, which has captured my attention. I'm hoping it's just as smooth operating as the 21. Thanks
@@Methodical2 I ended up selling the Mille and kept my Flex 3401. The Mille has less vibration than the 3401, but for me, it was more "jerky" than the 3401. I credit this to the smaller throw, which is less forgiving. It wants to grab the paint more. The 3401 is not as smooth as a free spinning 21mm DA. No gear driven polisher is. The forced rotation makes it have more of a mind of its own. It tries to control you way more than a free spinning DA. It just the nature of forced rotation. However, forced rotation = no pad stall, which makes it well worth its short comings.
@@c6z061 Thanks for the response. I've been eyeballing a forced rotation machine and did not realize there were several on the market now. Because of a bad experience with my Rupes 21 (dead with on 4-6 uses) and a reviewer whose Millies died on him within 6 months, I've decided to go with the Makita. It's cheaper and I have a 20+ year old Makita rotary polisher that keeps rolling along. The Rupes seems to fragile at that price point and I can't spend another 400+ on a machine that dies outside of the warranty period. Plus, reviews have the Makita as being more refined the the Flex, meaning it doesn't work you to hard.
Let us know what you think of the Makita after you get some time with it. I'm assuming you're talking about the 5000c. I'm skeptical one machine can be both a gear driven and a free spin and not sacrifice reliability and/or performance. But it would be great if it did.. and for under $400! Here's hoping..
Brewinz I have seen many people on a detailing forum in serbia and croatia selling their mille’s probably after using them for couple of times. So I think you are not the only one doing it.
Vibrations compared with 15mm and 8mm please ?
It’s hard to directly compare this forced rotation to any 15mm or 8mm DA, but I’d say that Rupes own free spinning DAs are generally smoother or cause less vibration than the gear driven Mille.
I was hoping your review could bring me to DA style polisher. But it just takes too long. I'm in the business of making money. One could 3 stage with a 200$ rotory polisher in 45-60 mins. On a car with the same paint damage how long? And how many stages did it take? Thanks for the video well done.
You're saying you can flawlessly compound, polish, and seal an entire car in an hour or less?!
Sandro a car wash has left swirl marks on my brothers Toyota Hilux thats a year old, silver/grey paint.
What polish/compound and pad would you attempt to get the swirls out with?

i see your highest speed setting was speed 4. Why you dont use speed 6 ? I used only normal DA Polishers before ... and there was only speed 1 or speed 6.
rosekberlin not always necessary. Higher machine speeds can also heat the polish up quickly reducing its working time
Forced rotation polishers are like bikes with support wheels ... get a rotary and do some real corrections!
Your priming the Mille totally wrong watch Rupes product training video. Your supposed to do a cross and have it speed 2 hold it in 1 spot no pressure for 30 seconds take it off apply 2 pea dots then go ahead and do a 6 pass square blow your pad out and move on.not a fair comparison as you haven’t used the machine as the manufacturer intended
Ummm looks the same as the flex just a different colour
