You'll think I watch this videos because of the pop culture references. But the review is where the real value comes from. This is, as always, an excellent point of view of the episode and really puts the episode in the right perspective
Scott I thought your analysis at the very end was just amazing about the snow being beautiful and then when you're in it too long there's repercussions what a great insight you have!❤
Also: We see this picture of young Lorelei and young Christopher. At this point in the series we haven't seen adult Christopher yet. But the younger version in that picture looks nothing like the version we see in later episodes. Great job with these videos. I really enjoy watching them :)
If you want a good breakdown of the crashed in the Andes story, I highly recommend Caitlin Doughty (aka Ask a Mortician)'s video on it! Not for the faint of heart though. It's...rough.
I love these videos so much!! Just wondering why you didn’t explain the “debutante” gown or “coming out party” as a cultural reference? It’s a very high society, elitist thing, so it may not be in everyone’s vernacular in all cultures. I don’t know the criteria you use, but just wanted to point that out. Again, love your videos, and look forward to them each week. :) Thank you for all your work!
Ahh thank you so much for watching!! I'm glad you're here ☺️ Okay so my official reason to not covering explaining the debutante ball is...I completely overlooked it 😂 I saw the dress, heard the words, was like ooh that's pretty, and didn't even register to explain about it 😂 Thank you for pointing it out!! I'll add an update to the next scorecard to add one to the tally, but I'll save my full explanation for when I get to the big episode that features one in Season 2!
You’re doing a fantastic job! I also noticed this is the first time Richard’s college sweetheart is mentioned. Richard says he would have married “Lucinda Lester” by now and Emily jokes that she should have married her - it would have been very modern of her. Not sure where the name Pennilyn came from, as that’s what she is referred to in later seasons. I would so love to see a miniseries of their college years!!!! Until then, they’ll live in my mind just like Rory and Jess do 😊
So that's why the revival starts with Winter… and ends with Fall. Btw, I think it does guys good to read Austen and Brontë. Anne, Charlotte, Jane - even Emily.
Hi there scott, I absolutely love your videos! I thought All the segments were complete, but I see this one was put at 5 hours ago So are you just moving along with each one?
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy them!! Ahaa yes, I'm recording and editing them week by week - so recording one GG video takes around 6 hours to do, then around 2 days to edit - so it's a bit of an overwhelming turnover atm! I may go to releasing 3 videos every 2 weeks, as oppose to 4 as I have been doing, just to lighten the load a little!
I like your theory about the guy in the trees being a former lover of Lorelai. But probably it‘s just Kirk watching over her, because Rory is not in town and/or because he saw her with Max and her unusual behavior (taking a guy home). I mean a guy with weird behavior is always Kirk, right? 😁
From the 1950's show. staged in NYC The Honeymooners, "and you're going to Bellview, cuz you're nuts!!!" People would outrightly ask you in NYC if you were heading to Bellview, meaning are you crazy? I would say the 90's is when therapy was starting to become more acceptable to society here in the States. Otherwise, there was a shame attached to the act by society to get help with your mental health before then. The Cat nip rant. It almost sounds like you were brought up in a cult of sorts, not unlike Lane. Not judging, just observing and wondering.

There was a Luke's Lego set submitted to become an official set years ago but they rejected it, you can still find it online

I’m #TeamKirk all the way
Of course that was Kirk checking in on the Girls to protect them or he was just looking for his lost coat.
