That seems heavy handed by DVSA to me. Until fairly recently, the requirement to issue a PG9 had to be a defect sufficient to cause an immediate risk to passenger or public safety. But not now. It is anything they can get away with. I've had enough of them. I've been in this for 26 years and that's me finished. There is no more mutual respect. I was at a tourist destination at Easter with a coach load of kids. They'd knotted the seatbelts together on the back row. In days gone by that'd have been a simple "Right, we'll check the coach next door- come and see us when it's sorted and we'll just issue you an inspection notice." This time it was a prohibition. It took me 5 minutes to undo and I even had spare belts in the hold if needed. Now I have a PG9 on my record and like Tim here, I was warned that I was lucky it was not marked 'S'. Air leaks are the DVSA favourite now... Even the slightest leak is a MOT fail. "Would you accept a leak of brake fluid from your car brakes?" // "No, Sir. But then again my car isn't generating new oil at a rate of around 7 times the amount I will need at any one time as it's a closed system. Air brakes are not." When a DVSA inspector does not even understand how air brakes work, how can you ever speak to them? The problem is that neither freight nor passenger has a strong trade group. RHA is a joke as is CPT.

Tim, it's pronounced 'ivor'. Single 'f' is pronounced as a 'v' and double 'f' is pronounced as an 'f'.
As an example, there's a beach near Barmouth in North Wales called Morfa Dyffryn that uses both the single and double 'f' in its name!
Got to agree Tim safer without the tints, it was only time untill u pulled out a junction/roundabout without seein someone wiv them tints on! And i got to laugh tranz tech fixin ur interior around ur work load, wot work load av i missed the vids where ur doin some work😂
window tint was class tim the people only there to ruin the party
3:20 The sausage and black pudding sandwiches they do in that cafe are second to none!
You can always done the interior for the four series, Volvo and future trucks in Holland. Rn R series need to be finish soon for show season.
Great video tim shame about dvsa but maybe you could get the plastic inserts to black windows out for show use
Your truck did look good with the tints on, but now once your interior is done you can show it off with people being able to see inside 😊 and will look real good 🫱🏻
its when you are traveling at night and you can not see so well they do not like the tints good job you did not go in VOSA with your exhaust blowing like it does black smoke
No window tint so no need for a s on your operator's license so please don't put the tints back on so you don't get pulld again and before you go to London again put some camera's on it 👍
if wanting to retint the windows you can get legal comealian tint which does come in blue colour, worth a look Tim???
Hi trucker Tim matey it's mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍 if i was you I'd definitely not bother with the window tint it's not worth it and getting pulled by the pigs everytime your out in your truck and lose your operator licence over window tint it's just not worth it at all just keep your truck in working order at all times and give the pigs no excuse ok... Great UA-cam video and can't wait to see your new trailer with your truck now 👍👍👍👍 thanks from mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍
Don’t put the dark tint back in but Chameleon tint is legal.. little blue shimmer to it could look cool.
Put a legal tint on Tim,it just looks so much better
So lucky with VOSA on that one, and no fine for the tints someone was smiling down on you!!
Can you not get removable tints to put in for shows?
Tim i just want to say that your my favourite youtube creator, just want to say thank you for being so great ❤❤❤
love the window tints
The load on the walkers truck is air condition units going to London from daikon applied :)😊
50% ceramic tint you'll be find with, light enough to keep the police at bay and you feel the effects of keeping the heat out of the cab as well as burning your arm and side of your face LOL. You were always at risk having such dark windows pal. 50%/35% at an absolute push, anything more is just dangerous.
In a game like trucking we truckers know what safety means.
I have so much power under my right foot.
Non truckers are not the same as us truckers!
spotted you on Appleby bypass layby on Saturday morning at 5 am. as i went pass (ooh that a nice flat bed ooh its tucker tim ) nice to see you on the road
Hi Tim. Go for legal tint and wheel writing all round including trailer
Get the removable tints, you can get them off and put them on when you want
21:38 21:39 great content again
You best get used to those sticky smeary windows now 😣 isn’t just on your windows it’s down in the seals now so every time you clean your windows. 1 time it goes down. They come back up smeared. I know from experience 😢
Hey Tim absolutely prefer no Tints from a viewers point of view , to us it’s about the journey more than the destination …. Great channel by the way .
I kinda liked it more with the tint, but as you said, atleast everyone can see the new interior. 😃
How is it in GB? In some countries you can have your windows tinted legaly and nobody can say anything. 🤔
Been seeing gbts little sneek peeks ! Now we have to wait til friday your killing us tim! Cant wait to see interior completed and that dvsa guy is a legend he could of gone in dry! But he lubed it and even warmed it up for you keep on trucking timbo
Just realised you drove through my little village of Gretna! Right after your VOSA holiday...
Dear Tim,
You do know why those trucks have little wheels on the trailer
It's because you can handle taller roll on roll off loads
Greetings from sam in Holland
It was a matter of time Tim!! Though i did hear that DVSA have a load of new officers trained up and they where released in March to start stopping alot more vehicles. They were supposedly on average stopping 4 vehicles on average but the Gov said they need to stop more (they just want more revenue). They are also starting to target the likes of cars towing wobbly boxes who arent with in tolerance of towing capacity. Id say they werent in checking your taco Tim they were on youtube watching you channel😂.
