A comment on first person view when bailing out. Going to external view when bailing out simply breaks immersion in VR. You could just as well fade to black, go to menu or a simple picture of a pilot in a parachute. It’s not a huge deal, but if you’re putting this much time an effort in modelling the pilot I’m quite sure you guys could simulate a view with parachute risers and lines as well.

Three old ladies are sitting in the park. A guy comes up to them in a trenchcoat and he flashes them. The first old lady sees it and has a stroke. The second lady sees it and she has a stroke. The third old lady, couldn't quite reach.

Really interesting as always. But the AI voice-over seems to be improving, which is a bit disappointing as the previous discussions were completely LOL, as well as interesting. Anyway, hopefully my pilot can down the last of his coffee before heading over to the plane. 😁 Nice work guys.

100+ player servers with planty of ground units and AI bombers is solved i guess when net resources are spend on this ? make basics work first, i know how to solve problem of more demand on net code when player exit one airplane and steps into onother, you disable this, so there is more ground units. In GB we disable citys towns and so on on servers, maps look like from early 2000s just so mission looks lively for player, game do not need more problems, this just makes more problems...

SET speed at 2x it sounds like BEN SHAPIRO ... Anyway, I'm sure the IL-2 guys realize DCS is in a precarious position with their client base...Although people have 100s if not 1000s of hours committed the antics that have been occurring and seemingly new drama or revelation occurring each week have placed IL-2 SERIES and the money behind them in a position they have really never been in before... and that is to challenge DCS, not only in WWII genre but moving into the Jet age so to speak. While I do not anticipate anyone loyal to DCS to delete $1000s of dollars worth of digital virtual products... Although DCS can be "played" offline what happens when Windows OS has an update or a component...I personally do not know whether it would become incompatible at some point if DCS servers abruptly "turn off"... Based on so much discussion occurring and seeing a 3rd party developer bark at the community like what happened last week...NEVER SMART THING TO DO... I DO NOT ANTICIPATE an influx of new players flocking to DCS or whatever their monthly projections are...of course, I am assuming they have at least some business sense & track countless metrics including performing projections and tracking prospective clients, influx of new clients...(I know they do not have any aspect of their business plan dedicated to attracting new clientele, to identify or give any a reason to look in their direction other than the high profile social media channels that I doubt they have any direct relationship with (which IMO is a massive oversight by their management)...how often do they perform deep dives on active vs non-active, Total number of hours the community access their servers and all of the sub-metrics one should be tracking from these on a daily, weekly and monthly basis with the end objective of ensuring flipping prospects into active clients, sustaining or retention rates of the client base, the hours accessed per/x and the most critical is to ensure always aware of the attrition rate...I honestly doubt they do any of these things which is foolish...whether IL-2 management does I have no idea but they should as well...Regardless, I would assume the hours their servers are accessed have dropped and with the end of summer looming will continue taking a dip...I also am confident that the rate of new clients that had been joining has slowed considerably based on what a prospective new player has been reading and researching the past few months.
This post still is about IL-2 I promise...taking the scenic route...
I posted months ago my belief that the entity behind MSFS2024 is seemingly being more aggressive in securing several of DCS's premiere 3rd party developers solely for the "commercial" flight sim genre...whether Modern or Cold War jets to Warbirds...I anticipate sooner than later, probably around the holidays, they will announce their own air combat full-fidelity flight simulator... whether they approach IL-2 or DCS I would assume if they did that it would have already leaked...but what we do know is IL-2 MAKING THIS LEAP INTO THE COLD WAR JET ARENA...will force DCS to resolve their issues or fail to reach their projections moving forward with so many reluctant to invest another penny with them until they earn the trust and confidence they have squandered..almost every post by DCS community members usually ended by referencing they would only be purchasing IL-2's, KOREA & nothing from DCS...
When most learned that one of the most respected and integral 3rd party terrain add-on developers in the flight sim space that has been providing products for both MSFS and X-Plane for years if not more than a decade+, ORBYX, had entered an agreement with ED to develop the Kola Map for DCS....Red Flags went up in my mind...Sure, some may have thought this is another avenue stream for Orbyx... I actually thought it was more than that...was it??? I don't know but it sure seems possible it was more of a probing exercise to gauge how antiquated DCS's Engine really is and whether they have a sustainable future-proof "engine" in place to take them into 2025 and Beyond as Nick Grey would say... I believe most of us know what was realized by ORBYX and how ED is quick to deflect any blame onto 3rd party developers (if recall what was stated shortly after the "Early Access" release...forcing Orbyx to rebut ED's statement by stating they realize the Kola Map does not rise to the ORBYX standard HOWEVER IT WOULD HAVE if they were not hampered by the Commodore-64 system they were tasked with integrating their map into (sarcasm). That is why I believe there will finally be legitimate competition for ED moving forward...My understanding is that IL-2 DID GO THROUGH AN ENTIRE UPGRADE TO THEIR CORE ENGINE THAT RUNS AND CREATES THE IL-2 PRODUCTS...I assume they are in a position to expand in any time frame or era they choose...including JETS. With IL-2 having a new engine so to speak they are positioned more strategically moving forward than ED...and definitely with the upheaval with ED IL-2's position is better than has been in some time. I realize the team behind IL-2 likely has been exposed to, taught, and focused on similar business principles as those of ED/DCS. with Jason Williams not pi$$ing off IL2 clients being an ungrateful smartarse...it's nice to see the IL-2 sharing information consistently... engaging both prospective and active clients...even if the information is not overly exciting at times...the point is, it is important to engage ... unless you have the mass media covering for you then you don't have to ever answer a question or address your "clients'... I hope they continue to do this...good or bad...most people just want to know what's going on... I look forward to the IL-2 Korea...
PS. By the way, for those not aware, THE KOREAN WAR STARTED IN JUNE OF 1950 (74 years ago)...I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a channel that's been covering WWII in real time, week by week for the past 6-7 years..With WWII coming to an end soon, they have started a new venture or covering another WAR in real time...the channel is called, "THE KOREAN WAR by INDY NEIDELL". It's not a UA-camr so to speak...They are a professional studio ...the first 2-3 years of WWII they created have been compiled into a long documentary...can find it here on UA-cam or on AMAZON PRIME...They started covering the Korean War about 8 weeks ago or so... They post at least one sometimes more vids each week but the main weekly detailed video is once a week... this week discusses what happened the week beginning August 13, 1950...Coinciding with the current dates...just 74 years prior...If have a chance, check them out. I'll post a couple links below:

''Our next project will Probably be Pacific .'' YES PLESE!!!!
Wonderful, I hope we see a South African Air Force 2 squadron campaign with 51 D Mustangs . An entire flood of campaigns with 2 Squadron throughout your games will be amazing, from WW2 to Korea. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2_Squadron_SAAF
No Spitfires saw service in the Korean War, although No 2 Squadron of the South African Air Force trained on LF Mk IXs before taking its Mustangs to war.
HMS Triumph was in Far East waters with No 800 Squadron and its Seafire F. Such a campaign will also be superb.
Campaigns sporting the Hawker Sea Fury of HMS Ocean and Fireflies will also be so welcome!

I dont want to sound arrogant, but here is a solve for VR parashute issue.
when in parashute, disable the X Y Z translational movement if the VR Headset.
No more walking around the chute.
Disabeling axis is possible with Track IR, why not with VR?
