The reason is simple - carrier operations required a lot of preparation work to make sure they can be done with good quality and this foundation had to be done before the production started. That's why Pacific couldn't be started immediately and the best possible theater was chosen.
Doesn't korea need carriers as well? There are many iconic naval aircraft involved such as F9F Either way as long as there's progress I'm happy. This is too early to tell if 1CGS is better off with or without Jason imo
For sure. I don't like Midway as start project of Pacific. As DLC may be, but not for start. Too short event. Our main game mode - Career - does not fit good enough to such short war events. Also, this what I've said "I don't like the idea" before - it was about Midway, not entire Pacific. Events like Okinawa or Guadalcanal will fit perfectly in our sim concept.
Why don't you guys just develop your product, make it great, and stop taking every opportunity to cast aspersions at Jason...hmm? Try that for a change maybe? Professionalism guys...professionalism.
Looking forward to this. Korea will be great, natural transition from ww2. (Good thing it wasn't the Pacific you produce. ) I like these long videos, going in depth is good
So the feeling is from the devs of Korea, that the Pacific never happened because Jason was already planning his project for when he left the team, so he kept on delaying it in BoX?
@@C.D.V.Rchsg. Seems to me if they were thinking of doing the Pacific one of the first steps would be to get drop tanks working as they are necessary in that theater. Why they could not make them work is a mystery to me.
Hey, there are no dev in commisar suit and Mauser in hand behind you - everyone can wath content he like, UA-cam shows video time even before you click it. Anyway, B-29 short video coming soon.
If you really wanted to do a Pacific theater like Guadalcanal or New Guinea, you probably could have done it already. I've been saying it for years. I mean, why even have Japanese flag in the IL-2 game if you weren't going to do it?
I've added this flag in hope that one day we will add it to GB. Anyway, Ger/Jpn flag is a coalition sign in multiplayer, Axis Powers - there were no better idea what to draw there ))
I hope you guys DON’T do Pacific next. We already have DCS and Combat Pilot doing Pacific. We don’t need three competing sims in the same theater. Either stick with the European and Russian theaters, which still have a huge interest, or do something we haven’t had in years like Africa, the Mediterranean, etc.
Yeah africa and mediterranean operations focusing on those parts of the war could be great. Battlefield 1 still enjoys a lot of players in spite of the settings limited exposure to modern audiences. The conflicts surrounding the hunt for Rommel and the side-flipping Italy did mid war are really poorly explored theaters of the time period.
Combat Pilot will maybe have 2 fighter airplane rdy by time this guys finish Korea, my bet is that well get fully PTO DLC before in this new IL-2 series then we get full combat pilot midway with more then just two fighters and some ships. And DCS LOL you cant even be serious...
Pacific is a huge Theater of War - it's wide in space and time - there anough room for everyone. Plus DCS is much differ in focus on what they do in game world. Don't warry ))
@@daniel_han To be quite frank, no, there's not enough room for everyone. Currently, IL-2 Great Battles is, by far, the most popular WWII combat sim. Even with being the most popular, there are rarely more than 100 players online at any given time. There simply are not enough WWII combat sim players to sustain 3 different PTO sims. Flight sims are a niche. Combat sims are a niche of a niche. WWII combat sims are a sliver of that. There's barely enough players to sustain 3 different servers, much less 3 competing products.
DCS and combat pilot are all doing Pacific stuff now. There's only so many flight simmers on the planet and we're only going to play whatever is the best. 1/3 chance of edging out the competition. Pivot into the early jet era and do India vs Pakistan. Hunters vs sabres, mystere vs f 104.
Many (many many) years ago we moved to WW1 because there was IL-2 1946 on the table. While we have created the best WW1 sim ever, still in terms of strategy it was controversal.
@@daniel_han I keep buying those flying circus modules and they're lovely to learn more about that conflict. However I do barely play them due to the community being so small. I really like how all these sims bring exposure and insight into aircraft and conflicts from all over the 20th century. I hope to go on enjoying them and learning more over the decades until my eyesight fails. However I would love to see a hawker hunter in a good combat flight sim so thats my bias 😂. I hope all the flight sims succeed, I'm just concerned that they've all decided to embark on a journey to create a single instance of 20th century aerial warfare at once.
Former dev that started his own company I believe. Now making a pacific theater game. It's easy to forget that Battle of Stalingrad is like 8 years old already, Il-2 is an old game now, people want something fresh but corporate inertia is a thing and sometimes to get a new project actually running you need to break off.
keep this videos as short as posible this is sutch waist of time, all i wont to know with FM is will i be able to dive in F-86 and MiG-15 wil not fallow or it will be like in GB where airplane like Lagg3 is best diver and falow 190 from 7-8km alt with no prob to deck
Hey, there are no dev in commisar suit and Mauser in hand behind you - everyone can wath content he like, UA-cam shows video time even before you click it. And 2nd gen jets (MiG-15 and F-86) requires more time to develop. Anyways, MiG-15 is for dessert, there is a room of time till release ;-)
Han so u begged Jason to do Pacific, still after u took the steering wheel u went Korea.
That is quite contradictive!

I hope you do Pacific next but do a different part of the war, such as late-war Pacific with N1K2's
