Just found your videos, I’m currently building a 93 blue 4Runner, SAS 5.29 gears, arb air locked for the front, locked rear, stock 3.0 for now, just started the assembly yesterday still tons of work to do but watching your videos is giving me extra motivation to get it done so I can go play lol
Get her done, it’s snow season! I ran the 3.0 for one season worked just fine. But I eventually swapped over to the 3.4 and it’s a world of a difference!
@@PacificNWexplorer I have a donor 3.4 here that will eventually make its way in just trying to get it up and running again to enjoy it for a few before I sink more time and money into it lol
Now that is what I call front diff articulation. This is a very appearing vehicle. Great job and the owner and/or builder should feel proud to own and build a sweet SAS Toyota like this. Great job 👍 and keep on keep'n on. Absolutely a thing of beauty.
The rear was never designed for 4 link from factory. I chopped off the factory Chevy 1 ton width leaf perches and brought them in to fit within the toyota frame.
Dawson Folk steering box can be left in place if you are keeping the axle centered to where the original suspension sat under the frame. Shocks will have to be determined after you have most the suspension setup. Then you’ll have to measure for how much room you have to build a shock hoop and from there to determine what size of shock you want to run.
It's not that hard. Did a frame swap on mine in 5 days. Did a 3.4 swap in 9 hours but it was our 3rd swap together with my friend, so we were already in the zone. From running with the 3.0 to running with the 3.4 no prob.

Not sure if I miss understood video but if you pulled off this build inside of eight days that is impressive

i live in the pnw to and that is my dream set up brothaaa
Nice build. cool for sure!
Thats how I want my 92 to look😢👍💯✅
Awesome job
PNW Explorer, are you running Toyota High Steer on this 3 Link?
I like the song. Kidrock !
I linked both axles in a day what took you 8 days???
Awesome build! Was that up in Walker Valley?
Nope
you put a 1uz v8 in that and you've got an absolute destroyer.
Just curious, why would you cut out the 4 link rear for leaf springs. Thx

What 3 link kit did you use. 8 days? Dang that's quick. Good job
Joey D No kit just pieced it together. Mostly trail gear hangers for the frame, ruff stuff for the axle side brackets and all ruffstuff heims.
what does SAS mean ?
Solid axle swap
@@PacificNWexplorer thx
What 3link kit did you put in?
Bastard pack. Combo between ruffstuff and trailgear.
What length lower links are you running? 16” shocks?
Yes
I’ve got a couple question I’m cutting the ifs of my 86 runner
Dawson Folk sure thing, what’s your question?
Did you need to relocate your steering box how did you determine the height of the upper shock mount

PNW Explorer did you end up reinforcing your shock hoops at all. By that I mean a cross bar connecting the 2 hoops
@@dawsonfolk6546 yes i did later after buying a tube bender, but i did run without for quite some time.
Nice.
I need to know what roof rack that is. Been looking for one like it. 👍🏽
Maybe it's a Yakima roof rack
@@carlosc8469 its definitely a yakima but I wonder which attachment for it
Отличный проект👍
What wheel and tire set up do you have
36x13.5x15
Is that the trail gear kit
No just the frame side lower link and upper link bracket are trailgear. All other bracket and heims are ruffstuff
Copy that just got a 4runner and im gonna 3 link the front also
Whats the tire size on that? Im building a right hand drive surf atm with a 1.9TDI and landcruiser solid axles

8 days huh, lol
I was thinking the same thing

Nice build, horrible music…
