My 91yo Mom is in ICU on a vent as of 5/1 due to this awful virus. They put the phone on speaker and laid it by her ear. I told her how much I love her and to stay or go and played this song until the phone cut off. So perfect.
Dear Jackie, I am so sorry about your mother, and yet, it sounds like she had a beautiful daughter in you for 91 years, thus far. @@IreneYoungFoto Thank you so much. I just got a call from the ICU doctor 30 minutes ago that she is doing so well today they are going to take her off the vent and are "Optimistic"... I am playing this song on a loop while thinking about her.
Many friends and family members are, too. An impromptu prayer group. Thank you again for this song. I heard it for the first time last night right before I played it for her over the phone in ICU.

I sang this song along with this video as my Dad was transitioning. I so appreciate the gift of this song to send him on his journey.
This video has gotten other comments expressing a similar sentiment, and I pass the honor on to Melanie for writing this song. My father died less than a year ago, so I understand the gift of a peaceful passage. I wish you the best here holding his memory, and I wish for your father a loving and kind extended adventure that perhaps, we don't yet comprehend.
@@IreneYoungFoto Thanks for your response. I was lucky enough to participate in several workshops with Melanie and I am grateful for the opportunity just when it was most needed. I was happy to find the songs to youtube to be able to share the experience. I sang it again today with another friend who is transitioning. We don't know what is next but music provides some comfort and that's the least we can do.

I'm facing several disparate health challenges right now, and a friend sent me this song. It's lovely and the sentiment is pure love.
All the best, Shannon. We never know each other's experiences. However, I do know something about health challenges, being a two time breast cancer survivor, with chronic issues ensuing. The best thing that has helped me is The Wim Hof Method and his breathing techniques. I became mesmerized by the testimonials. Now, after a couple months of the practice, I feel like I am getting my life back. I wish you the very best throughout your journey. Yes, Melanie's song is truly amazing. As I was filming the performance, I could feel what was about to happen the moment Julie put her hands on the piano. I am glad you enjoyed it.

My mother and I listen to this extraordinary blessing of a song everyday....need another song ever be written? Somehow somewhere it must always have existed, it's angel dust, crystal fragments landing on Melanie's note book one day. I imagine her looking at the angel dust arranging itself on the staves and her saying "Agh, there you are, we've been looking for you and waiting for you, we have always known you..."
