Bye the way,... the little dog peeking up at you while you pour the batter into the pan is so adorable !!! What a cutie pie !!!

I did exactly like you described in the video and yet my 'batter' did not come out as yours. Mine was bulky, but I continued to cook it, and it was good, but did not come out at all like your video....maybe the apples should be mashed, might have helped.
Update ... when I took this cake out of the oven, we could hardly wait until it cooled down, but I did in fact give it an hour to cool down real well on my cake rack! This cake was so moist and so yummy, It is now going to be one of my top go to cakes when I know I will have company! IT is just perfect !!! It is moist, flavorful and it will leave your kitchen smelling like heaven! Thank you so much for such a wonderful recipe !!! I just love your cute little dog in the video !!!
Just tried this yesterday. I used milk as substitute for the yogurt and added 1.5tbsp of lemon juice for that tangy taste. The taste is great and the procedure is easy. My housemates loved it. Next time will try add walnuts for added texture. Thanks for the recipe!
Well, I made it! The magnet was, that it didn’t call for cinnamon. I had no yoghurt, had to put some kefir instead and after comparing the video to my stuff I ended up adding a bit of cream to it. Oh yes, cut the sugar in half. I don’t know why all these recipes call for a ton of sugar, if anybody wants it very sweet they always can decorate with powdered sugar. Anyway, it turned out great, light and beautiful. I put some chopped walnuts on top and Next time I’ll add a bit more apples! Thank you!

I substituted with a single cup of vanilla flavored keto yougurt , and i added to the apples 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon to let it marinade while making the dry ingredients. OMG 😲 😱 it was super moist. Loved it 100 %!!!

What apples did you use? Some are too mellow. I used Fuji on another cake but it could have been stronger if you ask me. Assume Granny Smiths too much or how about one Granny Smith along with a red?
Hi Michelle, this was a must try recipe, however, even though I followed it to the T, as soon as it came out of the oven it sank in the centre (toothpick test & all!). Left it to cool, to my horror there was a hole in the centre and raw batter was collapsing into it. It's back in the oven now haha I'm waiting to see the result. So I'm wondering if the pan size 20cm Springform is correct because the picture in the video looks flatter and wider..?? My cake rose beautifully in the oven, turns out there was just air inside. Weird. Help!
It sounds like the cake needed to be baked longer. Yes I used 8 inch (20cm) pan. I think the air could be formed if the batter was over mixed. Hope this helps. Thanks so much for trying out the recipe. Have a great day!

Hi. Baked for 35 minutes. Wet in centre. Put it back in the oven..started burning. This is the problem with gas oven that is not fan assisted.
