I'm in Houston too! I have a full spectrum led bulb over most of my plants and my two fiddle leaf figs are both putting out brand new, big healthy leaves!!! So yeah, it's not that complicated or expensive. Home Depot lighting section
And I am running a humidifier here in Houston. Indoor humidity levels can be low regardless of outdoor climate. My skin was really drying out and itching so I knew it was low. I know the tropical plants like higher levels.
Hallo from Verona I brought my hoyas inside cause it is too cold outside and I put them in the room with the phalenosis and they are all growing very well
Go to Walmart and buy the great value 100 watt 14 or 15 watt equivalent 1500 or 1600 lumens and they will work I promise. The 14 watt equivalent ones are 4 pk for 8 bucks and the 15 watt equivalent ones are 4 pk or 14 bucks but the work in regular light bulb sockets. Your welcome. Lol.
I just use good quality ordinary household LED bulbs. Cheap and easy to fit in ordinary lamp fittings. Philips brand are an excellent spectrum. More versatile if you can move them around individually especially if you have a mix of plants with different light needs.
For grow lights, I love my SANSI bulb in just a utility clamp light. I also have a Byingo 2ft light in my grow tent and my plants enjoy it. I personally like the color of it (not too white or yellow/ red). THE BEST thing to have is a BN-LINK wifi outlet timer for lights that don’t have one included (but I don’t like those because they need to be reset if power goes out).

Yes exactly!! I love this as an option too I definitely don’t think its super necessary to use fancy ones at allll!

The one I have is like basically flimsy plastic! Totally not worth it, and it was a lot dimmer than I expected. It really just isnt the best option 🙁
