Totally excellent video, just bought a house with a non functioning Hormann opener and my "garage guy" doesn't do "electric" doors. Excellent videography and good clear commentary coupled with good pace and detail. Thanks for this, helped me a lot 11/10 👍🏻
that's one hell of an excellent video made "by the way". EDIT after seeing entire video - it's worth to mention that there is a label on one of the door panels that actually specifies number of turns those springs should have. you measure it by the yellow markings on the springs. in my case it has to have 10 turns (5x2,5m door). great video!
Great video very informative! - I have a question. When the door fully closes, does it release back ever so slightly before powering off? Mine does and it leaves a slight gap that let's light through!
Hello. Thanks for the video! I'm hoping you're able to help me. I have the same garage door & fittings. When I engage the door, the track works fine, but the door itself doesn't move. There's no issue with the motor or chain. It appears to mechanism with the toggle attached. When engaged, I can hear the chain chattering past the mechanism, so I think it's just not gripping hard enough. I would be very grateful if you could give me some advice. Many thanks, Sam.
If the track is smooth, the chain moving, it is likely to be to do with the Latch the door has to the chain, with the pull chord on it. It has not latched on. From memory I can't remember how it locks on, but that sounds like the problem.
@@williamhaigh Don't you have to run the unlatched cartridge up to the stop block closest to the door,.or the one nearest the operating unit, then re-engage the cartridge by pushing to either the right or the left the horizontial lever (to which is fixed the green release button)..... I think. Had a similar problem on kne of my Mothers doors.

На данном приводе горит точка внизу. Сброс настроек не происходит. Датчик помех на помехи не реагирует. Что делать?
Thanks, very usefull!!!

K- means kurz, means short. Others are M and L, you can guess why.
