Rida came in to see Christopher from New Brighton, Minnesota. After following Christopher for a while, her daughters and son came together to purchase her very own MAKEOVERGUY makeover as a mother's day gift. After her silhouette analysis with Joann Hopkins, The Wardrobe Woman, Rida had her consultation with Christopher. During that consult, MakeoverGuy decided what color, cut, and style would best suit her personality, body type, and skin tone. Rida's daughters were awestruck. In the end, Rida says, "I finally feel pretty again."

When you become older, you don't want to bring attention to yourself. You just want to fade into the background. Yeah, I don't think I want to do that anymore. Going to start wearing makeup again.
Used to wear makeup but suddenly one day it looked garrish..like a gypsy. All of a sudden foundation felt and looked drying, every crack and line emphasized...not fair to grow old! But man, these makeovers make me want to try again. Just look at this doll face, she looks 30 again!

@@lenorehigbee1474 I have noticed the same thing. Try to do at home microbrasion before applying foundation and then I always pat with a damp sponge or other damp cloth to try to minimize the accumulation in the lines.

Being a caregiver takes everything out of you, there's no way to describe how empty and hopeless it makes you feel. You don't feel you have time, money or energy for yourself, or that you deserve to take any of that for yourself. I appreciate her daughters for giving this opportunity to her, and Christopher's team for showing her how special and beautiful she was. To her, I want her to know that her caregiving is the hardest and most important job she will ever do, and her mother would be so pleased to know how well she is doing at it. Keep moving forward, do the hair and makeup as often as possible, and know your beauty comes from within and shines through your hands and eyes as you care for others.

Omg I can totally relate..I've been the sole caregiver of my memaw who is 83. And my family NEVER GIVE ME A BREAK. I went back to school for my RDA At 45 and she was able to care for herself on the most part. She has dementia on top of macular degeneration n also hard of hearing and in the 3 yrs of living with her n taking care of her she has declined so much n incredibly hard to watch. But the fact it's a 24/7/365 days a year n full time job I forgot about taking care of me n looking pretty. And has really started getting to me especially now I realize I'm not a young woman anymore and beginning to look my age especially since I have also gone downhill I feel in my appearance and have become very depressed and hate even going out into the world cuz I feel like I look ugly n a mess.
But by watching her transformation n her beauty come out gives a woman like myself hope n that I'm not a loss cause n with the right hairdo n makeup can be beautiful as well...

They say that the eyebrows are the frame of your face.

I saw how tense and guarded she was in the beginning. Notice how Christopher lightly touched her shoulders and moved her gently yet firmly side to side as he spoke to her. His voice, touch and movement relaxed her within minutes!!

It brought tears to my eyes when I heard her say her daughters bought her a gift certificiate. That was so thoughtful and to see their reaction I'm sure was worth every penny spent. She was beautifully transformed and gave her the boost she was looking for. Sometimes thats all women need to boost themselves. Then they can see how possible it is and how good it makes them feel.
