I never played the first Streets of Rage game before. The 2nd one was my first one I ever played and owned. I'll have to check out the 1st one as well. Looks fun.
It’s a great game brother! 2 is awesome!!! But the first is my personal favorite. All in all though, that whole series is great!
Yeah man. Your arcade is the ultimate version and Evercade's Alpha is the junior version.
If I wouldn’t have built my Freakade, I may have considered buying an Alpha. The crazy thing is, I spent less money total building my own, than what the Alpha is priced at.
@@GameFreak1976 Yeah, I don't know what they're thinking at that price point and who they're competing with. You named some of the arcade one ups and I know they're smaller units but all of the Sega Astro City Mini, Taito Egret Mini and Neo Geo Mini were sold much cheaper while offering more. You could basically buy a Switch or an Xbox S at that price.
Oh it's a good night in the retro basket. Genesis is always welcome and Streets of Rage?!? Phew, it's a good night. I personally prefer 2 over 1 and SOR2 is something like my 8th favorite game of all time. I never got into 3 but ended up picking up an English version of Bare Knuckle 3 which is much, much better and if it wasn't for the very terrible music (such a surprise from a Streets of Rage game) it might be contending with 2 in my favorites list.
2 is great. I actually do like 3 a lot, but of the 3, it’s my least favorite….but still really good! It’s hard to not to love Streets of Rage. It has such great replay value!
Kind of a side note, did you ever do a favorites style of video? Favorite games, genres, consoles, controllers, etc? I have some good ideas of what you like and don't like but if you don't have a video like that I'd enjoy hearing some more conversation on those topics.
I actually do have a video on favorite controllers. But funny you mentioned the other categories…I’m actually recording some videos on my favorite consoles and games. You’re reading my mind brother!😂
