Glad to see you guys having fun, a much needed "vacation" after working so hard this past yr.
Omega Mart was as much as a highlight on my last Vegas trip as "O" at Bellagio was. The rest of your trip sounds fun, too! Timeshare stuff though; once you weigh the cost of your hotel, airfare, etc., I have found the money you spent to get down there doesn't make up for the hours spent.
And selling timeshares is nearly impossible with getting your money back. You also don't own it either. It's cheaper to rent a hotel.

Penn and Teller are personal heros of mine. I remember watching their show Penn & Teller BullS#!t years ago. That show should be mandatory broadcasting these days. You may not agree with everything. But at least it shows that you can't believe everything you see in the media. Think for yourselves sort of thing. That's a hard thing to come by these days.

Omega Mart is such a fun experience on top of Area 15 in general. Love finding experiential exhibits like that when I travel.

When you go on the High Roller whatever you do do not get tickets for the open bar car, the tickets are expensive and you cannot get your moneys worth in 40 minutes; if you want a drink during your ride just buy one from the bar and take it with you which is allowed. I recommend going on the High Roller at night it is pretty cool with all the lights on. I went on the High Roller twice once at night and once during the day and both experiences were very different.
I loved Omega Mart so much, we went to Meow Wolf's original location in Santa Fe.

Glad you guys are having fun. Try and go to eat at El Dorado Cantina right off the strip. I take all my friends there when they visit. Rated top 10 Mexican restaurants in the US. It's phenomenal!
You two are awesome! Not much of a people person myself, so I went to Gros Morne Newfoundland this summer for my trip and had a absolute blast. But Penn and Teller as well as Drag Queens... well that just sounds delightful. Very happy for you both, and look forward to all the updates. Stay cool you crazy cats!

My Dad and I did a timeshare pitch in the ass-end of Volusia County at this very rustic camp just out of morbid curiosity as to how much of a scam the “free trip” we would get after hearing their spiel would be.
They sicced the two women salespeople on us and they were generally all sugar and spice and really worked hard at blowing sunshine up Dad’s arse. They fed us things that appeared to be petrified burgers at a rickety picnic table (redneck haute cuisine, I suppose) before taking us out on a pontoon boat on the St John’s river.
If you’ve never been on that body of water…it features mosquitoes the size of Boeing B-52 bombers in numbers that would make you think Linebacker II was making a comeback.
We get back to shore and once we were off of the SS Malaria, the full-court press started in full. More sunshine up his bum in amounts I had rarely ever witnessed personally until my father figured out they were trying to sell us a share of the boat. The girls then tried double-teaming me to change his mind but as they had alternated between treating me like poo or outright ignoring me, I didn’t see any real incentive for me to help them unload wads of cash from the Dad.
That is when the fun really started. They started getting all pouty when I pointed out to them that Dad was way too nice to tell them we had less than zero interest and nowhere near the money they wanted and their attitudes only got worse when I asked what happened to the previously bubbly personalities that were attached to my Dad’s six like remorae on a shark. Then they tried throwing us out without the “gifts” until I reminded them that the Florida AG would likely take a very dim view of that.
As we are driving away, the “totally free” vacation was really a discount voucher and we’d not only have to pay $500 over the going room rates, we’d also have to cover airfare.
I thoroughly enjoyed swearing out that complaint and even as notoriously corrupt and third-world as Florida is, those yo-yo’s got shut down and smacked hard for being even more egregious liars and cheats than is usual in an industry full of them.
Dad and I would laugh about it for years and generally warn off our northern relatives who were used to more honest dealings…well, at least the ones we actually liked! ;)
