Once upon a time, long before the industrial revolution and consumerism, human beings had lots and lots of free time. Some people would spend their time playing games to entertain themselves, others would lazily loiter whole days away by the fire, while others would experiment in attempts to better their own technology simply because there was nothing else to do, and every once in a while things came together like magic. lol This is true to the best of my knowledge.

and how exactly do you believe they fed themselves, did food animals just wander into camp and fall onto the cookfire. They were called Hunter Gatherers because they spent most of their days hunting and gathering. When they weren't hunting and gathering they were migrating, following migrating herds and moving to newer foraging areas as the seasons changed and edible plants came into season.

Great historical bow construction ideas, but some of the worst tool selection for making cleaner accurate cuts, clamping, and lack of thorough understanding of wood steaming approaches. Hot hide glue (HHG) requires a temp range of 125-135 degrees F for best bond. HHG gels very quickly so you have to be prepared, test fit, with perfect joint surfaces, and pre-warm your parts, perfect fitting with HHG rapidly applied with glue brush. You can also add HHG to both gluing surfaces and allow it to dry separately. Then you can assemble the dried parts, clamp or tension wrap, then use steam to heat reactivate the dried hide glue. Bonds just as good as the short time pressure method.
HHG does not take any great pressure as it shrinks and tightens the bond. Other glues do not do this. Lutherie approach to steaming, mold making, gluing, and clamping would be much more efficient.

It is not Mongols alone who figured it out. Nomads of the central Asia (includes ancestors of Mongols) used such bow very long time ago. I think no one knows who made the first one.
