After we lost to Hearts at home, I wanted Rodgers to go at the end of the season (even if we won the league). Thought he just wasn't the same manager anymore.
But after watching some of the recent football and his aura in the media recently (i.e. having "fun," and his post-match comments about how he's been treated this season) it's clear he's got his mojo back. Looking forward to next season.

It was Chris Sutton who said Brendan Rodgers was going through the motions it was after the 0-2 game at hearts at Celtic Park, but Brendan Rodgers has been getting a lot of unwarranted criticism especially from our fanbase and the media. The board need to back him and let him get the players he wants and hopefully how close it’s been this season will be what the board needed to start spending the money

I still don't feel he's the right man for the job. Yes the title race has been exciting but it should never have happened to begin with, and I feel his appointment is evidence the same problems that existed during his first tenure are present today. A lack of ambition and an apathetic, unambitious "as long as we win the league" outlook.
We embarrass ourselves year after year in Europe. That's the deciding factor for me when it comes to Rodgers' second tenure. If we do poorly this season, he's got to go and the club needs a serious restructure behind the scenes to get rid of the old guard that are keeping us stagnant and content to win the league and accomplish nothing else so long as their bank balances are secure. Folks like Lawell, Nicholson etc need to pass the reigns on and watch from the sidelines. They've had their terms, it's time to move on and progress, something they refuse to let us do.
I was very critical of Rodgers, not for the way he left-that’s in the past-but for the football we were playing. It was (and still is to some degree) night and day to the football Ange has us playing. BUT, there are signs of what Brendan wants. The first goal vs that lot I think epitomizes Brendanball and I’m very excited for that. ALSO, the club failed horrendously at recruitment. Just an absolute shocker. So the fact Rodgers has one a league with Scales and Forrest is unbelievable. I swear to god our shitebag board BETTER gives him a big check to go find his OWN players

I thought Johnstone had his worst game in a Celtic shirt. Silva tore him to shreds. I hope that’s just a one off. I personally think Scales cleared everything, especially at the nervy finish. Carter vickers cost us that goal. He can’t out jump Dessers ffs! Scales should have been on him, but that was CCVs fault completely. If you watch it again, Scales saved us in the last 10 minutes. He’ll gain confidence and come back better next season. Left and right back we need improvement. And a new keeper obviously, and to sign a set piece specialist. And ffs, we need to score from corners. Idah or Miovski need to be signed.
Scales never put a foot wrong, but he'll never be excepted by our great support. sad.

Rodgers must take ownership of the recruitment process. It doesn’t mean he does the work, but he cannot enter a window unhappy with the provided candidates. If he is passive, then he will continue to get projects foisted upon him and he will leave.

I agree with you. We’ve regressed big time and got away with it because Rangers are even worse.
But considering recruitment was a total shit show and all of our key players had lengthy injuries. He done ok to pull us out a slump and get us over the line.
He done great to go undefeated against Rangers all season though.
