At the end of every stage in The Tour of France they sometimes televise the winner riding on a static bike. I think that is a low intensity recovery technique for the lactate.
I’ve really enjoyed going through my usual warm-up routine on rest days. I get my body moving and temp up, maybe do some very light finger stimulus and then call it. Feels really good. Or scoping boulders and lightly pulling on holds is a great rest day :)
I play Minecraft on rest days

Non climbing days are just leg days for me
I like mountain biking, road cycling, running and swimming. As much as I love climbing, I want to be a complete athlete
All good complementary exercises. Too many climbers are hitting their fingers and shoulders on non-living days and interfering with their recovery
We arent just climbers. Non climbing days are days for pursuing other fitness goals.
He’s flat out wrong about steroids. Studies show they make muscle grow with no exercise.

My active rest days are me working in construction lol
Why not call active recovery cross-training?
Because training isn't resting and active recovery is a deload
run for 40 minutes? I might die
Walking is your friend❤
