The guys in the back are P&B's grandsons and producers of the Beats. Their names are 91 Shots & Handsome Dexter, who are rappers themselves and go by the name of Nine & Dex.
Depending upon how far you go into the back catalog, you will get to see the amount of progress they have made and the change in styles over the last seven years.
Another good reaction and breakdown. I think you might be the first reactor I’ve seen that has picked up on the use of assonance in their rhymes. Keep up the good work!
Definitely do Whirlybird next, but if you want to dig into some of the older catalog, and you haven't done "Longthorn Shotgun" yet, there's a bar in there that will keep you up at night. It blew a barn door outta the back of my skull, fr. 🔥🔥🔥 Great react and breakdown. 🙌🏻
I wonder if everyone's jumping on the Whirlybird reactions too quick... It *is* an absolute face-melter, but there might be a video to react to in a couple of weeks... There nearly always is!
Bas has started with the hook in several of their songs Stepped Into The Building comes to mind first and You Got's To Chill sampled More Bounce To The Ounce by Roger Troutman awesome reaction 👏🏾
The taller of the grandsons is Dex, I think, and Bas' grandsons, and the shorter one Nine, and Pete's grandson. The album is just lit Great reaction. The London accent provides the rhyming - down is pronounced in a way that is stretched and naturally rhymes with Japan. Can't think of any other british accent that would get that rhyme and sound natural. It is a great accent for gangster rap!
@@The_Drift3rthat's funny. you can insult me and your post goes through, but if I try to direct people to the video where nine/Lu/jon is pete's nephew, my post gets deleted.
@@The_Drift3rlet's try it again. search for pete and bas galileo. a german tv show, in which nine is pete's nephew, who just dj's for his "uncle", according to him.
Others are probably saying this in the comments as well but thought I should share… The story goes that Pete & Bas’ grandsons are the rappers Nine & Dex. Nine is 91 Shots and Dex is Handsome Dexter. Collectively these two have produced almost all of the Pete & Bas tracks to date (you’ll hear that “9…1…”at the start of so many songs). They have 3-4 tracks out on UA-cam. They’re younger and rap about clothes and cars and stuff. Dex’s voice sounds really similar to Bas, lending credibility to the idea they’re related.
Excellent, intelligent reaction as always 😎 And yes - you're bang on - I know that track 'You gots to chill' - I still sing it randomly from time to time when someone needs to chill the eff out! The stereo-panned overdubbing on Bas' voice on the chorus (not the first time they've done that - Stepped into the Building and Longthorne Shotgun) makes him sound like straight out of 90s/00s grooves. Reminds me a bit of Nate Dogg - with a different accent obviously 🤣
A Doctor Dre flow with Timbaland sauce from the UK OG grandpas while the grandsons (Nine and Dex: 91 Shots, Handsome Dexter) cook up the beats. Stop it!
This song went straight to my car mix :) I learned recently that Pete has been into jazz and scat for years, this is how they can change cadences so interestingly.
Great reaction bud! This song def reminds me of Too $hort's Freaky Tales and Blow the Whistle. Too $hort even does the same vocal doubling they use on Bas in the chorus. ✌
also have a look at pete and bas's mate Norman pain, his sindhu session is good, its very dark rap about his killing of a young couple and his 18 years in prison
Seen as the album is new, I'd do that first. However, there is only 2 tracks on it they have not released videos for yet. Not that, that is bad for the first album. Not sure if you have heard all the tracks they released in the last year so maybe there will be more than 2 new tracks for you. The back catalog does show how much they have improved over the years, looking at their first 3/4 songs can be very underwhelming for reactors who have only discovered them recently but if your interested to see the development it's still worth it. Alot of what you might call the midblock (after the first 3/4 songs and before the album) is proper UK drill. Some really fire stuff in there, but I think harder for non-UK people to vibe with (in general don't @ me if your if your outside the UK and a fan of those tunes, I am too). It was a time when they really started to come into their own with tracks like 'Golf' and more scene recognition with their contribution to Coldest Link Up 2 and the end of season plugged in with fumes (both of these having many other drill artists on the track, find them very very worthwhile and most likely a lot of artists you've never heard of you might like). Also their own plugged in with fumes became their first viral hit. Since then they have diversified their rapping style more, with a obvious targeting of a broader audience with some more US sound tracks and things that would/could work well on radio (going a bit mainstream). But even so they still have some more underground burners like on the new album Whirlybird really has the midblock era feel to it. Keeping touch with the drill scene that inbraced them at the start.
@RavenZahadoom I think whirlybird is very much a nod to those roots, a deliberate reminder that drill is still the calling card, though recently they've pushed some frankly dre/timberland style hooks. The more naughty comedy stuff has kinda gone now, though stepped into the building has some hints of it. I find the appearance of nine and dex interesting, finally acknowledging their presence fro t and centre...are P&B now so big that 9&D can work off them to get publicity for their own act?
The grandsons and the beat: ''Nine and DEX - Pecan Pie'' funny bonus: one of those guys has a VERY similar face and voice like Bas, you'll be amused ^_^ Please react to ''Longhorne shotgun'' by Pete n Bas too!
Dive into both! But many of the tracks on the album have been released as music videos.. stepped into the building, bish bash bosh, and most recent ones. Basically two tracks left on the album 😅
The thing about the theory that Nine and Dex are the actual artists and these guys are just lip synching is that Nine and Dex have their own stuff out. And it's good, but their delivery just isn't as good this. So are they so committed to the bit that they're intentionally putting out sub-par material in their own names? That doesn't make any sense at all. They're fire producers and decent rappers. Pete and Bas have impeccable delivery though.
The guys in the back are P&B's grandsons and producers of the Beats. Their names are 91 Shots & Handsome Dexter, who are rappers themselves and go by the name of Nine & Dex.

How come they didn’t do a video for whirlybird????
They probably do a video for every song..lol

The london accent down is pronounced da'an so it rhymes with Japan perfectly
