You can tell Sean Garrett just been waiting to talk to somebody, like he doesn’t normally get to express himself like this or reflect around the people in his life. Very personable interview. Thanks for creating the environment for these people to come and let their guards down for a bit. 👌🏾

He’s a very emotional person… A musical genius with many different facets to him. This is a hard interview to listen to because he has so much to say. Jay and Tank are the most gracious hosts. They let him articulate his views with grace, patience and a level of brotherhood that is beautiful to watch. That is why this Podcast is excellent!!!

This episode gave everything it needed to GIVE!!! But I still want a part 2!!! This coulda been 6 hours and Sean woulda gave it to us. Sean is such a Pisces!!!! Beyond the hits and the journey to and through them we really got to see the man. That man let his tears flow!! He explained why he was giving and sharing what he shared. He was all heart here. Tank and J being the grown men they are didn’t flinch, held space for their brother to express. We love to see it!! From how genuine he was about his love for our community, transparent about his insecurities and doubters on the come up, his inspirations and more. The psychology and conditioning convo on boys/men historically limited in expressing emotions. The promotion of men being disconnected from themselves. This why this podcast is so powerful. It’s beyond music, it’s culture, it’s mentorship, it’s therapeutic. All so amazing! So many great takeaways from such an accomplished, cultured artist. He is humble. I understand his frustration with being labeled arrogant. Confidence and passion when you have a gift and vision can be misunderstood. Loved the conversation about how the ladies are running R&B right now. I would have loved to hear Ari’s name thrown into the SZA, HER, Tink convo. Would have loved hearing more of his fav R&B singers. I also loved his sincerity in expressing his appreciation to J and Tank for who they are and what they’re creating. Respect to Sean’s I ain’t saying no names… 👀 I got a strong idea lol. Thank you R&B Money team. We love yall ❤

I absolutely love this podcast!!! ❤ The interviews are not surface level, the talent has a chance to really do a deep dive into their life and experiences. I wonder if it all feels like a form of therapy for them? I see how they light up sharing their stories and have moments of introspection when they realize how they came to be. I have a deeper appreciation for all of the legends that you are sharing with us. Thank you Tank and J Valentine! Sean Garrett is the truth! 👏🏾👏🏾🤗

The appreciation is giving these writers and producers their flowers while they're here and letting consumers know who's behind these hits. In addition, giving these talents the platform to tell their story and in hindsight educate and inspire the next generation of creatives. I love this podcast. It's like reading the credits on the album and CD pamphlets from back in the day but putting their face on display for all of us to see and celebrate. Genius 🎉🎉🎉 nostalgia

Sean’s Germany experience was so on-point. In the 80’s and 90’s, AFN was an “All Purpose” network for the military community. All the popular TV shows and movies in the states aired on one channel, and that included live sports lol. You either had to go back home or get VHS tapes sent by loved ones to keep up with BET programming and other cable channels. All that aside, I still wouldn’t change it for the world, even if kids looked at you like you were an alien when you came back home lol. Those 6 years split between Nuremberg and Bad Nauheim were well worth it.

Aaww he was crying trying to explain himself, i get it the creative who can write better than he can talk. Yet has so much passion for his craft, you can tell he still had it too. God bless him for helping the younger ones behind him

This episode hit differently. I got emotional listening to this one. The gratitude. The respect to the past. The appreciation that we all stand on the shoulders of those who’ve fought before. Kudos. Really really well done. Hope you have a Caribbean artist on here soon. We have more in common with each other in the diaspora than we realise.

This interview is the Blue print of how grown men should communicate with one another & showing appropriation for each other! This was a perfect interview! To me it was grown men having a conversation about life plus giving gems on how to navigate your 2ay through Manhood!✊🏾👍🏾🙏🏾💯💪🏾
