Energy CS nominee Wandayi blames independent powers producers for high cost of electricity

Energy Cabinet Secretary Nominee Opiyo Wandayi says he will revoke contracts of independent power producers, who he blames for the high cost of electricity in the country. This as Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Nominee Rebecca Miano defended the hike in park fees for maasai mara game reserve, while at the same time pledging to introduce a comprehensive policy guiding the operationalization of short term stay rentals popularly referred to as airbnbs, in a bid to protect the hotel industry.

It's easily said than done; IPP contract is a thorny subject that you cant break. For most part, its the government that fails to hold on it's part of the agreement making the contractual cost to spike. Do your homework!
