Hello, I like your channel, it's great, I don't miss a chapter...the good thing about those bullfights is that they don't kill the bull, that's great, he returns to his family healthy, tired but alive.
Hello, and thank you for following our little series 😍😍😍 It has been a really great adventure 🙃🥰 Aww I am so glad. I think, in a way, it might even be fun for the bull. Just wondering how that would feel like haha 😁. Are there occasions somewhere else where they kill the Bull after the Bull Fight? Do you have experience from a different place or a country? ☺☺ I heard about mad Spain Fun, where all dress up in white with red cotton belts. It looked amazing also ❤
When I was a little kid I used to get so excited about the bullfights, now it's one of the traditions I really hate about the islands. I'm glad to see you felt some empathy for the bulls. You guys looked excited to see food vendors lol. I thought it was so funny in your other videos whenever you found a restaurant and got excited only to find out it's closed. That was the story of my visit back home this year (well 2023) Imagine me looking for a place to eat, I've been vegan for 14 years so that was an even bigger challenge. Anyhow still bummed out you guys didn't visit Sao Jorge :(
It is hard to imagine being the bull. If I were a bull, I would like to be the center of attention and have fun running around with humans. Mike (My partner) is a Taurus, and he would probably hate it as an introvert. It was definitely fun to experience it and be part of a tradition. I felt for the Bulls very much, though. I am glad they returned to their peaceful life after a potentially traumatizing experience. We are a very health & Fitness oriented couple. We tried to find a gym or even an open restaurant on most islands. So I can imagine, for vegans almost impossible task. However, meat is essential for a healthy body and soul. In Eastern Europe, where I am from, we eat all bits of the animal to nurture our bodies. I find it disrespectful that, for example, Australians don't eat organs and waste the most nutritious parts of the animal. We would love to visit all the islands one day. Maybe we will visit sometime in the future again and you can show us around the best places and make a documentary together 🤩.
@@christinenobles I'm hoping you guys visit Madeira and Continental Portugal, lots to explore, maybe one day we will cross paths. Mike looks like the spitting image of a Portuguese friend of mine here in Canada. Looking forward to your next videos cheers
as an air force brat I experienced these bull fights on our street Juncal and on the beach at Pria .... 1974-6 and the shepherds holding the rope were much older. also big difference between what is a crossroad or square and one street. imagine a people packed street that parts like the red sea and there 10 feet away is mr. bull. as guests the Americans were able to watch but not allowed to participate. 50 years later I am glad I stayed out of the street. 😇
@@bobbrown6430 Awww that's amazing !!! 😍 I was almost killed lol... If I would have stand in the corner at the beginning lol 😂😂😂 Could have been an interesting action shot from holiday 💀💀😂😂 Sometimes it's better to not be able to participate to stay in one peace but at the same time I got to the street a couple of times and as soon as I stepped out of the barricade, I felt adrenaline going through my veins !!! I am a little junk when it comes to extreme sports so I enjoyed the rush haha 😂😂😂. However I won't be happy to face him on the small street like that 🤯🐂🎯📣♉💀🫣😂😂
@bobbibrown6430 WOW! we were there 1976-77. My dad was a Major in the Air Force. We rode horses from the little barn close to the base .... my parents went took be to the bullfights. I remember Praia and the bread and soup!
By the way, when you go to visit the island of Madeira, it is beautiful. I recommend it. It is totally different from the Azores. When they release the channel, it will reach 100 thousand subscribers. Hehehehe
We live in Australia, so returning to Europe is a mission and has been very expensive since post-Covid. I had to give up on my work season and lost thousands of $$$ to make this trip happen in the summer. We were looking at Madeira with huge interest even before the trip to the Azores - now realizing that it's becoming one of the most expensive and popular destinations. We would be absolutely interested to visit! Will see where the wind takes us. The next series will be most likely from Cairns in Australia (Great Barry Rief, Beaches, rainforests, Waterfalls, and small towns around). We are booking the trip as I am writing this. Very excited ☺☺ We are also interested in French Polynesia and Thailand at this point. But our families are in Eastern Europe, and we will be returning to Europe on a regular basis. Hopefully we can make it to Madeira sometime soon. If we do, We will absolutely share adventures with you 🤩🤩. Meeting locals and sharing their stories would be phenomenal 🥰🥰
Since I was young, I always wanted to experience something like this !!! Thank you for taking us on a fun day. Hope one day my wish will come true also Awesome Content !!!
