Freaking awesome performance. Lars did the double bass, James sounded top notch, especially near the end, Kirk nailed the solo, the bass is totally hearable. What more could you want? :D
Its already confirmed by him actually that they are going to play it live in an arena especially, in Portugal, Lisbon, Meo Arena its gonna be the first concert of 2018 and im looking forward to see a live debut, maybe of that song, who knows?

Also there's a huge difference in records they have released in these 2 periods: - Death Magnetic- more thrashy, kinda old school Metallica record, could've followed And Justice easily; -Hardwired- more diverse, few thrashy songs, few Black album type songs, and the album itself is like anther Black album.

He usually has a wah pedal set up around each mic. Can't really think of any instances I've not seen him controlling the wah. Metallica's official youtube channel uploaded a rig rundown video a week or so ago, Kirk's tech doesn't mention him controlling the wah's, but he has a kill switch in case Kirk don't turn it off properly live.

There are many mikes on stage, James go from one to the other. In such a case, all the mikes cannot be opened at the same time, mainly in order to avoid larsen(*), echo or what we call in french "de la repisse" : that means unwanted sounds that pass thru the mike and end up in the global mix. I think the mike James was in front of, at this time, wasn't open. The sound assistant probably was drinking water (**) and reacted a bit too late. Perhaps the mike were not labelled correctly on the console, that happens more frequently that one may think. It's always a moment of stress when you're at the console in such a moment, MUST quickly open a mike because nobody hear James, but YOU DON'T EXACTLY know which button push :) imagine you "accidentally" shut up the bassdrum mike, mmmh? (*) larsen is not related to the drummer (**) names and products may have been changed
what the fuck happened to Hammett on the new album..... how the hell did he get away with those solos... well if you can call em solos. Here's another example of why they are so bad!
