When I wear earrings that sit on the ears, like studs or earrings that include the ear area (vs. a wire let's say), it widens the look of my face. I guess that's because the eye is taking in the obvious earrings from side to side, ear to ear. It becomes even better when the earrings are shiny (like diamonds, for instance) because that really catches the eye and makes a horizontal reference.
I’ve been doing a more angled contour for so long! Thanks to you I have learnt I need to do a more horizontal contour to stop my face looking so long. I’ve got the flat cheek issue too! Excited to try the new contour skills

She said in video for long chin, you do horizontal line contouring but slightly lower than halfway point between eyebrow and chin. For prominent chin, I believe she has another video on that you can search.
To make a prominent feature visually recede, use a slightly darker color on it. Slightly. You don't want it to be noticeably darker. Also, make sure that the finish is completely matte. Any shine will pull it visually forward.

This is the first time I've seen a video on how to contour a long, thin face! I have a high forehead, and a long, narrow face, with very high, prominent cheekbones. All the makeup artists and gurus out there only seem to do a cookie cutter contour routine, and it doesn't suit me at all. Now, I love giving my cheekbones center stage (they are GORGEOUS, and these babies are sharp enough to cut glass WITHOUT any makeup on me at all!), but it's also nice to have a complimentary contour. So I'm very grateful for this video and I will definitely try out your tips! ^_^

Thank you. I could never understand how no matter how much I contoured, or did my makeup, my face always looked Soo long and narrow. I have a long nose and flat cheeks. It's very difficuilt to balance my face. But with these tips, I might just try some of them.
I have a thin, long ass face (midsection longest). People that have long mid sections and have forehead lowering surgery just look worse because the forehead isnt the reason why the face is long, so face just becomes unproportionate/not symmetrical when comparing forehead to midsection. No hope for us long midsection folk except long side pieces of hair, makeup or expensive surgery.

Yes you explain the dimensions of the face and how to apply makeup properly. All I have to say is that you have very full lips and the dark lipstick you use is over done. If you soften your lip color it will balance your face out evenly.

Yes you explain the dimensions of the face and how to apply makeup properly. All I have to say is that you have very full lips and the dark lipstick you use is over done. If you soften your lip color it will balance your face out evenly.
