This is an archived live stream of coverage by Force Thirteen on Hurricane Hanna as it made landfall in southern Texas.
Hurricane Hanna intensified during the day, and has now made landfall in Texas. Hurricane warnings are in place for the state and tropical storm warnings extend into Mexico as well. Life threatening winds are possible near the landfall location along with storm surge of 3-5 feet. Heavy rainfall is also expected in the southern tip of the state, with 10-15 inches expected regionally, and up to 18 inches locally. This will create a significant flooding concerns for that part of Texas. Preparations for the hurricane should be complete at this time, and you should refer to your local weather office for information about your exact location.
Hurricane Douglas is also moving towards Hawaii, and hurricane watches have been put in place there as well. Join us for live coverage on both of these tropical cyclones as they threaten land in the United States in the near future.

a heavy cat one hurricane can do more damage than a dry cat one . the more saturation in the ground the worse it is for trees with non deep roots to hit homes telephone poles etc. i always prefer a hurricane that moves fast with little rain .
