- For a budget pistol, the Rock Island Armory (Armscor) is an excellent piece of work, although it balked at the range with Sig Sauer 147-grain V-crown JHP ammunition...a second range day with different defensive ammunition will be in the future.

Thanks for watching. I hope that you enjoyed the presentation. I agree, RIA does make some good 1911 pistols for the price. I carried the .45 ACP version of this pistol for nine years and it was as reliable, and as accurate, as my high-priced (high-priced for me anyway) 1911s.
Definitely going to look into getting their GI version of this. I love how they offer parts on their own webstore for these.

I enjoy mine, however it wasn't the model I really wanted. I wanted the Tac Ultra 9mm/22tcm ,but I punked out for a cheaper price.

I bought both the tac and the GI. Both are 100% reliable and reasonably accurate during off hand shoot. I use the tac in the single stack class for steel challenge club level competition. Great review thank you for sharing.

I have a Dan Wesson specialist commander in 45. Also have this. I am not a snob. Both are hella good pistols.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and for your question. The rotary was just something the wife had hanging around and I "borrowed" it. She did make me return it, though. I also have a motorized rotary that I use on occasion.
Excellent review of this excellent 1911 model. You take entirely WWaaY Tooooo much time to cover the material you are discussing. Good content Wayyyyyy tooo much time to coney material!!!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. Yessir! I do take some time to cover the material. I don't care if a firearm is high-end or low-end, they all get treated the same. I have since learned, since starting this journey of mine, to scale back the BG music. I have attempted to get Morgan Freeman, James Earl Jones, and Sam Elliot to narrate my videos, but they turned me down. The viewer has to live with my voice and narration.
I have also had conversations with my script writer, but he refuses to listen to me, as does my wife. He does get rather technical at times, and we have argued back and forth regarding reducing the technical content, just do some quick and dirty rushed reviews showing just my hands flailing over some firearm like some reviewers do (I have a face made for radio), or add more "Wow" factor in with some drama, but that has never flown for me.
I would fire the scriptwriter, photographer, filmmaker, director, and producer, but since that is me, I have no alternative but to try and deliver the best content that I can, throw it all out there, and let the viewer (a prospective purchaser of the firearm, or one who already owns the firearm) determine what's useful, or not, according to their wants, desires, and wishes.
I just try to tell of my journey with a firearm, or gear, or accessory the best I can.
Mi not looking for quick and dirty, just get to the point your tiring to make! Video's are excellent but way too drawn out and take more time then need be! Thank you for your excellent reviews, God bless!@@RangeRoninChronicles
