Aswara (US) - Untitled (Album 2009)

Killer record by this American project featuring two members of Death Chants.
A project that seems to carry the sound the band had going on, particularly on releases like "Valley of Light", still featuring free folk elements but transitioning into longer songstructures and Electroacoustic Drone music inspired by Raga and early minimalist stuff like La Monte Young and Theater of the Eternal Music.
First track is a shorter demented track mostly revolving around dissonant violin, accompanied by cavernous, almost industrial-ish percussion in the background. Second track is a long Raga of Electroacoustic Drone with what sounds like an harmonium producing the entrancing frequencies fizzlign through your cortex as the guitars and synths improvise into the skies above.
Side B is a more minimalist and beautiful take, that sounds like a bedroom recording of some abstract keyboards accomapanied by a subtle shamanistic percussion.
