Reciver trades rarely work out anyways. Can’t remember the last time it really helped a team obj to the rams maybe? If u wanna get on licht for anything going into the year at inside line backer with kj, Russell,Dennis and Lavonte knowing that one is old and one has had shoulder problems is probably not a good idea.
I agree SR. The Bucs are in transition which a lot folks don't realize. Rotating older players and getting younger players is not easy. A huge trade would disrupt that transition. We may have to lose the division this year to take a larger step for next year.
That could happen. And the Bucs just spent a second-round pick on Chris Braswell. I think he'll develop into a good player by the end of the year like Yaya Diaby did at the end of last season.
I saw an article and it made a lot of sense. Wouldn't it make sense to see what the Panthers would want for Johnson? My fear is Evans staying healthy after the bye or trying to do too much with Godwin out. On the other hand, I feel like this gives our younger WRs a chance to shine and let us see what we really have. I feel we have a team that if the defense can figure it out, we can make a really deep push into the post season.
I think that would be the biggest issue. What may be a 5th round pick from a team outside the division may be an earlier round pick from us. It would be nice to see the price tag at least. Baker could make that work.
Yeah, if I was Licht I probably wouldn’t make a move either for many of the reasons you listed. I would fire the head coach though (and not for leaving Godwin in) because of this defense. He’s a defensive coach and he’s not getting it done. The personnel is there, you got players on that side, you need to make it happen.
We'll see how this season plays out. Bucs are still 4-3. Sunday is a BIG, BIG, BIG game. 5-3 vs. 4-4 doesn't seem like a big difference, but this team could be 5-5 at the bye or 4-6 at the bye.
@@PewterReportTV I’ll add he’s called great defensive games - SB and last year’s Philly playoff win - but it’s too inconsistent, which only adds to the frustration.
I was kind of interested to see if they'd go after someone like Hunter Renfrow who is currently a free agent so would require trading nothing, and also seems like a good fit for Godwin's spot in the slot for the time being until someone else emerges, gets drafted, or perhaps Godwin comes back. Thoughts on making any moves in free agency currently?
The defense has to improve, I think they're at the bottom and Bakers 5 interceptions in the last two games hurts the Defense by staying longer in the field.
I don’t care if they sign a WR or pass rusher, but they do NEED to sign a LB that can cover. A FA or trade for a late round pick, just ANYONE other than Britt! 🤬
Some very good/fair points here but Kupp could literally plug and play immediately, no? Played in Cohen’s offense, was featured in similar role to Godwin
Not really. He has miss a lot of game time due to injury. He is older than Evans and more expensive. The problem this season hasn't been the offense. The defense has been the Achilles tendon this season. The defensive game plans has been deficient.
Thank you! Out of all the options Cooper Kupp's familiarity to the offense would make him the best fit. But at age 32 with his salary - and giving up a premium pick - is it worth it?
Great points about “big name” signings. A third round pick for a Braswell vs trading for a Judon, give me Braswell all day. Bad teams often try to buy thier way into a winning season because they don’t draft well. The draft is where it’s at.
Moneyball is a factor also. Drafting players have better ROI because they are on "prove it" contracts that cost less. If you have a good scouting department (and Bucs do!) then you are getting financial benefits and essentially using money to pay good scouts instead of money that counts against the player cap. Additionally, taking on another high end receiver will create challenges in the off season when it's time to negotiate with Godwin to keep him. More loyal to wait and be able to pay him than to have to figure out between he and the "new guy".
Todd Bowles knows what he's doing on the defensive side of the ball ,his problem right now is personell. Some guys can be good in a zone scheme and some are good in man but not enough are good at both and with injuries he's stuck.
Thanks Scott for clarifying this I'm tired of hearing all the ramble bamble. We don't need a washed up wide receiver. Like you said we can use our picks and build a strong foundation for the future.
He just cut a 4th rounder. He used a 2nd on a guy who has held a clipboard his entire career. One of his 1st rounders will likely walk after this year. And that's just in the last 4 drafts. I don't think he should make a move but let's not act like he's hoarding gold either.
Your Devante Adams reference is flawed. Aaron has no O line to protect him so he can't use any deep threat, that's why Adam's was ineffective. Our O line is doing pretty good so if Baker has awesome targets to throw to it'll be monumental to our playoff hopes.
Bowles would rather throw the season away than bench Britt. So it’s on Licht that he’s still on the roster. Playable level Inside off ball LBs are a dime a dozen. Find one and/or cut Britt to force Bowles into trusting better players.
Imo the problem is Todd. His scheme is 1 dimensional and good coaches pick it apart. He’s too stubborn to do anything else and I lost hope in the bucs after Arians left because I knew we would never get to the superbowl with Bowles at the helm. I say we fire Bowles when we lose our next 3 games… promote Liam and look for a defensive coordinator to finish the year.
I agree with building through the draft and its great, but the only pushback I have is a Tom Brady caliber player isn't walking through that door to send us to the super bowl through free agency anymore. Sometimes exceptions need to be made. Granted that's if Jason truly believes in this team before Mike and Lavonte's play drops or they retire.
Bowles plays the system that suits the players we have, we need better personel, an elite pass rusher like myles would absolutely help our coverage , we have to send too many players to get pressure and it leaves back end thin, this is common sense, we also just need better players all over the defense , bowles is squeezing everything out of the personel we have.
I wouldn't mind if the Bucs pick up a linebacker and a corner through trade or an unsigned free agent. I can imagine there is a team or two who are looking to dump salary and accumulate picks for the next draft. How about a player like Ahmad Gardner for a 2nd round pick? We are likely to spend a 2nd round pick on a corner for next year, anyways. Jets are not going anywhere and might be willing to trade.
I have to agree, really no point in renting a WR when our defense is so bad. No way we make a deep push into the playoffs giving teams wide open catches all day long. Besides this gives some big time reps to Mcmillan, Palmer, Jarret, Miller. This should really push them to develop for next year. its super annoying, I get bowles lacks the personnel for the system he wants to run but dude change the system for the players you have... umm sounds just like what Liam has to do.
So........does it matter how outstanding or spectacular the defensive player is if we keep playing Todd's stubborn defensive skiils...I've seen this same predictable defense since leftwich...the only time I didn't see it is SB 55 which they won because: I'm a Buc fan now,I came here with Brady...so 20 yrs I heard no whinning, just results ,6 championships.... We now have an excellent OC... but our HC,DC is exposed by our OC...Bowles better tighten up or we ain't going far...
Yea I’m starting to come around to the idea of not doing anything. Next year might be our year. Let’s do our best with what we have and draft very well! When Mike gets back let’s just try and het him 1k yards and play for next year.
The reason why Jason Licht is not making trades now is because Jason Licht never try to fill holes in the roster using free agents. Instead , Jason Licht loves to overreach using first round and 2nd round picks to draft mediocre players. Why does he keep doing this? Jason Licht keeps doing this because we don’t have a critical media that holds him accountable for all the bad picks and lack of action during free agency and praises him when mediocre players that he drafted make the roster. Making the roster doesn’t mean anything. How many buccaneers are consistently making pro bowl or are selected as Allpro? We only won the Super Bowl in 2020 because Tom Brady made all the free agency shots. In 2021 he wasted pick 1 and pick 2 on JTS and Kyle Trash. 2022 Logan Hall as pick 1 Goedeke pick 2 ( he picked him as a potential guard just like he did when he drafted Hainsey) In 2024 he used a first round pick on a Center while Connor Williams was available in free agency in a very cheap contract. He overreached again using pick 2 to draft mediocre Brasswell who will be a rotational player at very best. So the notion that Licht is not going to pursue trades now or ever is because he doesn’t want to waste premium capital draft picks can be easily disproven when we see how he constantly wasted premium picks in very mediocre players. We ended last season with a huge hole at CB1/CB2, MLB, EDGE, SS and lack of depth on DL and FS. We are in a very tight Super Bowl window and Licht did not set this team to be a Super Bowl contender. Where would this team be if by the offseason we had signed Connor Williams , Chase Young, Gilmore and Justin Simmons ? I wouldn’t push hard now to get a high caliber WR because the time to push and make the trades was 5 months ago. But if Licht wasn’t so timid and trade shy and stubborn about drafting only players that are not problematic he would see that there are options right now that would be a great trade not only for now but also for the the future years. We would not win 2020 Superbowl if Tom Brady didn’t pound on the table and demanded Antonio Brown to be signed. Jason Licht would never have done it. The best move we could possibly do right now is to offer the Bengals either 4th round or a 5th round for Jermaine Burton. I would go as high as giving a 3rd round pick for Jermaine Burton . Another move that would help an offense that lost WR1 and WR2 is by trading for a ball catching Tight end. Michael Mayer from the Raiders is someone who might be looking for a change and we might be able to get him for a late rounder now that they have Brock Bowers and Harrison Bryant getting solid snaps. The problem is that we will not see anything happening because our front office is timid and think too small.
Of the 4 free agents you mentioned, Connor Williams was coming off a torn ACL and it was unknown if he would even play in 2024 at the time of the draft. He has a 65.9 PFF grade and Barton has a 63.7 PFF grade. Not much difference. I don't think PFF is necessarily the gold standard, but I certainly like Barton's youth (22) and upside more going forward than a 27-year old Williams. Chase Young is garbage. He's a big-name player who is overrated, as I pointed out in the video. Anthony Nelson is rushing the passer better than Young is this year, and Young's cap hit is bigger than Nelson, Yaya Diaby, Chris Braswell and JTS combined. Justin Simmons is not a good tackler in the box, which is why the Falcons play so much Cover 2. Jordan Whitehead is a much better box safety/scheme fit in Todd Bowles defense. He isn't having a great year, but Whitehead's PFF grade is 60 and Simmons' grade is 61.7. Not much difference and Simmons is about $3 million more. Stephon Gilmore is the No. 63 CB according to PFF, whereas Zyon McCollum (7), Tykee Smith (23) and Jamel Dean (25) are all in the Top 25. So I don't think the Bucs would be any better with those FA signings.
Both Tykee Smith and Izien are not players that can play as wideout corners. So having Gilmore in the team would absolutely move the needle when we all know Jamel Dean always misses games. Chase Young is an edge that brings pressure and plays good football . PFF is not the best way to measure players like Chase Young or Kancey. Check Kancey’s PFF grades to see if you agree with them . I know I don’t. Signing Justin Simmons would have made a huge difference when Winfield got injured . Having the option of playing cover 2 in certain games situations would be exactly what we need when our secondary is abused time and time again because we have just too many holes in this roster. I don’t even think Barton first round pick is a huge mistake. The bigger mistake was not signing Connor Williams after he was still available and was reported he was good to join training camp. Connor Williams have a higher grade than Barton playing in one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. A good GM would sign Connor Williams and develop Barton as a Left Guard. If Connor Williams needed to miss any games, we could use Barton or Hainsey to play as Center. Connor Williams missed less games this season than Barton. If Connor Williams was playing in the same line as Tristan Wirfs, Goedeke and Barton and Mauch , he would have a much easier job than what he has in Seattle. If we had Chase Young in the games Kancey was injured we would not have dropped so much like we did. Same thing applies when we lost Winfield for 4 games. If we had Justin Simmons we would have had a much better secondary. GMs that are serious about competing for Super Bowl sign players during Super Bowl Windows so they can keep a consistent level even when there are injuries. Jason Licht failed to do that and that is the reason why Bowles is struggling to keep a consistent defensive play and scheme. Simple as that
Chase young cap hit for 2024 is only 3 million . Since he is still very young it would be a great candidate for an affordable multi year contract at a lower cost. Much better than dropping a fortune for 1 year or 2 of Heddick for example
No need to panic. No need to give away the farm. We have lots of talent. (much of it not proven yet) I trust Licht. He is being dealt a bad hand, but it may be better than we think. Let's see how the reserves do in the upcoming game.
I still think kupp would be a great move, we find undrafted talent routinely so giving picks doesn't really hurt, kupp knows this scheme. He gets injured but so does godwin, the main draw is security, unless we re-sign godwin before the deadline or if we can franchise tag we close the window of making sure we have a good wr next to evans next season. and if we win the FA bid war and can get Godwin to a new contract, we would have a few different outs baked into kupps current deal already.
Idk whats going on but maybe teams sense desperation and try to gouge you. Im sure if offered a first rounder La would part with Cooper Kupp. Im sure if they would take a 5th or 6th rounder someone would take a flyer on him. Trades are ok, but dont overpay
We'll be ok Scott, just run more, use the check down passes and try out the young-bloods (wr). I view this game is up to Baker and Coen how this game will fall...but for God's sake give #44 more than 5 carries!!!🍊
We need to awuire a middle linebacker to replace kj Britt before we get a wr imo. The defense needs to help the offense out now more than ever. I think baker and the new starting wrs will continue to put up points. We need a linebacker or sell the house for Myles Garrett. He would upgrade the entire offense and save this horrid secondary (middle of the field) bc qbs won’t have time to get the passes off
QBs don't need a bunch of time to get passes off. Tampa Bay's secondary playing soft zone allows the ball to get out faster than edge rushers can get home.
Like your videos as always in my mind this team was not Super Bowl ready this season Miles Garrett has two major foot problems really needs to be shut down and have surgery odds are he will go to the Cowboys as Jerry Jones is dumb enough to overpay. gotta keep our powder dry could be a contender next season let’s not worry about the wins and losses and see what we’ve got in our young players having said that based on the current talent and injuries in the defensive backfield, I’m not sure what scheme anyone could do to fix the coverage problems
Thank you. I don't cover the Browns so I don't know much about any Myles Garrett foot injuries. But if that's the case, I'd stay away from the 29-year old.
I think that's part of it. Philosophically, Todd Bowles does not like to give up the big play. Hates the ball flying over the head of his defense. So he'd rather die by a thousand cuts than a big stab wound.
Pewter Report I gotta be honest were one of the few media platforms that have a hard time being honest Bowles has given up damn near 1300 yards in 3 games you’re not putting enough fire underneath Bowles and you also aren’t being truthful with Baker he’s played to much hero ball and he’s the direct cause of the momentum swing and aiding in Monday nights loss this team is in trouble bottom line so start being honest when making videos you guys are protecting you’re pass in the building I get it but Jason Licht loves his guys so much that he doesn’t care if they aren’t good he’s kept the band together and all his picks for no reason
Appreciate the comment, mopar. I'm pretty sure I put a lot of fire under Todd Bowles in this Pewter Pulse. HE has got to get HIS secondary to play tighter coverage - ILBs too. And I also said Baker Mayfield MUST stop throwing those second quarter INTs. If Bowles and Mayfield don't rectify things on Sunday more heat will be applied.
Great analysis. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen Bucs D play this awful. Bowles scheme isn’t working and adjustments need to be made. The outcome so far has not looked good for a defensive minded head coach.
Bro at the very least they could at least put Ramirez out there to start to max the speed off the edge which would make the blitz world's better. With Mike and CG out they better utilize White and Otton and definitely Shepard and McMillan. Palmer I just don't know. We good on making a move at this point if ain't for a receiver. Btw why cant we get one of those MLB off the practice squad to replace Britt. Why isn't he rotating like D. White was "asked" to.
Jason is betting on his self and his ability to build and develop through the draft. He’s very confident in his abilities in drafting I mean be honest how many GMs have taken 2 special teamers as he early as he has and lived to tell the tale.
Myles Garrett is an all-world pass rusher. But I hear you, Bowles defense will make even Garrett's skills irrelevant. I hope you guys are fully on the bandwagon of firing Bowles if nothing changes.
This team is a draft away from being top tier contenders. They are fun to watch and are scrappy but they have too many holes on defense to be top contenders. They have needs especially at linebacker, then pass rush, then secondary. Myles Garrett is a great player but it's not worth the draft capital and cap space with so many other needs. And unfortunately they'll need receivers in the draft. Develop your young players this year and go where they take you. Next year should have higher expectations.
If Bucs win on Sunday and rams lose tonight cooper kupp makes the most sense it’s rly unfortunate Godwin got injured he was having probably his best season ever and it was easily avoidable but kupp fits his position in the scheme and worked with coen but regardless Bowles needs to go his defense sucks can’t let coen walk if he continues his success make him head coach
Having Garrett on the team is worth a first round pick. You aren’t getting the production out of any rookie. Myles is a generational talent. He would be a massive upgrade
I was go say they acting like Garrett is judon or Reddick this guy can change a game.. and help the secondary with him Clancy veta that will help the young secondary out and he only 28 years old 😂. If I'm light I'm pulling the trigger yesterday and apparently Denzel Ward is in the block as well.. either one of those will help this team
I'm indifferent. If they trade for a Kupp or Garrett, cool. If not, it is what it is. Garrett with Diaby, Vea and Kancey could give us a killer defensive line. But thats a mindset stuck on earlier games when we were missing the core in the middle. Since Vea and Kancey, we went from last in sacks to 7th. Im cool if we get him, but dont see a NEED for him. I don't care who we have on the line, it doesnt fix the GLARING need at ILB or CB. But Kupp, only if we can keep Godwin too. Him with Evans and Godwin plus White, Bucky and Tucker could make for a dangerous offense. Give McMillan time to develop with Palmer in the mix and if Shepard stays..we can be set. The issue most have with Kupp is the injuries. But it wouldnt be as big of a risk in this offense. His injury issues stem mostly from being the primary to only target on that team. In 2022 he played in 9 games and STILL had 37 more targets than the next WR. In 2018 he was out for the season after playing 8 games and still had 4th most targets on the team. Even this year, after Puka was hurt in week 1, hes 3rd in targets only playing 2 games. He wont see that kind of workload in this offense. So I'm all for bringing him in, but also fine not giving up what it would take to get him.
Having a pass rusher like garrett on the field will improve the whole defense, especially that secondary/ middle of the field issue. I’d give up a 1st round pick for Myles bc the chances of catching anyone even close to his talent in the first round of any draft is very slim. At least you know what you’re getting with him already. He’s a proven generational talent.
@@brandonstephens1447 when guys are starting off wide open in the middle and against the CBs, any NFL caliber QB can get the ball off well before Garrett is gonna get there. Teams using the screen the same way we use the screen wouldn't be afraid of it with Dean or Funderburk 15 yards away from their guy. People who think the D-line can help the pass cover issues this team has need to learn more about how football actually works. Browns have Garrett, they still have less sacks than Tampa. Bucs with 19 and Browns with 18. They've both let 5 receptions of 40+ yards. Bucs 22 receptions of 20+, Browns 21. Browns allow 54.7% first down, Bucs allow 48.9%. The pass defense aren't really much different in what matters that people want Garrett to address
We need DB's our corners backs sucks. Antoine Winfield can't do everything. Fix that first. Then work on wide receivers etc. I love our buccaneers 4Life.! Go BUCS!
Is miles garret is a great player But he wants another long term deal And that's gonna be somewhere between one hundred million too 1 50 hundred and fifty million over 3 years to 5 years.
Ya that’s the only problem. I’d give the draft capital to have him rushing the passer but that cap hit he’s gonna force is def something to worry about. Maybe he’d take a discount if we were 6-0, had healthy wrs and a top defense but that’s not the case, even though we have the talent. It’s just not being utilized for some reason this year compared to last year. We don’t have that many new players on defense but what screwedwas the shoulder injury to our best pass defensive line backer and being forced to put kj britt in, who is horrible at passing downs. Center of field is pretty much wide open bc of him on every play 🤦♂️
@@brandonstephens1447 I agree with you, but the Browns have another guy. That's on the trading block. Also, last name is Smith.Defensive end or defensive tackle almost is talented for a whole lot last money. That may be a better option.
Mike Williams is 30 now and is having an awful season with the Jets. It looks like he's lost a step and he missed 18 games over his last two seasons with the Chargers.
@@PewterReportTV I understand all of this. But a 5th or 6th pick? What do we lose? He was still recovering this season. He started with snap limitations. He is starting to get healthy again as of today. He’s on a 1 year deal.
Well maybe because he doesn't want to blow up the salary cap for this year a next year. The Tom Brady and Super Bowl salary cap.Problems that are finally gonna go away next year. And maybe they see something more with the players they got. And they know something we don't know
Tom Brady and any super bowl salary cap is already off the books. Only dead cap they have over 1 million this year is pre or post super bowl players. CD3 (14), Evans (12), Shaq (9), Russell Gage (6.9), Jensen (4.7), Lavonte (2.6), Baker (2.3), AWJ (1.5) and Matt Feiler (1). Everyone else is under 600k
Scott, while it's true you don't want to give away the farm to get someone .you can't tell me that someone like myles Garrett can't put pressure on the qb in place of Joe Tryon Shoyinka who hasn't even sniffed the qb.Smh.Please!
17-0 or 0-17 im riding with my boys' point blank great pewter pulse ignore the cry babies we definitely still have a chance to make the playoffs☠️🏴☠️☠️💯
Yaya is not a very good pass rusher. Almost getting sacks doesn’t make you good. That’s like saying, “I almost hit a home run or I almost made that jump shot. All sports are results based. He’s not getting it done.
He has 1 more pressure than Myles Garrett and 2 less sacks. The problem is that QBs are getting rid of the ball too quickly because the coverage is too loose. If they played more tight man it would force QBs to hold the ball longer and increase the sack potential.
@@PewterReportTV they can’t afford to play tight coverage bc they’re terrible in coverage. They give all this cushion and still allow plays over their heads. We have to be dominant upfront.
Crazy how some fans and media still think Todd Blows is a good defensive coach. His scheme is predictable and easy to exploit, Arians sticking the team with this 🤡 is a kick in the nuts to fans
Regardless Bucs need to replace Godwin with someone at least semi close to his level if they want to make a run this year still tho Bucs defense cost them 2 wins this year so this teams going no where until we make Liam coen head coach and get a new defense
Todd bowles has no clue what hes doing. Lmao. This pass defense has been between 25-32 for like 3 or 4 years now. But i thought bowles was this mastermind??? Lmao
@@PewterReportTV i just think he has to stop the zone blitz, zone blitz, zone blitz. I mean the whole nfl knows what hes running. And if we dont have corners that can play man then we have to start looking elsewhere because zone every play does not work in a pass heavy league
This is why I have a hard time listening to your podcast. Sometimes you are Homer's. Sometimes you tell the truth. But I hate you picking and choosing when you do so. You telling me Garrett wouldn't help this team? Come on! You can play tighter with a rusher like Garrett. Now you telling me picks are better than Garrett. I'm excited about our receivers this week. If baker just throws to the open guys. We should be fine. Bowles defense is the problem
@BryKG our issues in coverage would be solved by an elite pass rusher, we have to send too many players to get pressure often leaving back end thin, also don't think you guys understand how incredibly unbelievable myles garret is, also obviously Dean being out doesn't help
Exactly man. No one in the draft is going to be better than adding Myles Garrett. He’s a generational talent and would be worth a 1st round pick imo. Our defense would be better alll around with him pass rushing. He, vita, chancey, and diaby will be in QBs face in 1.5 seconds every play unless they just have all their rbs and tight ends just chipping but even then, he’s a game wrecker like tj watt. Go get him jason. Our offense will be just fine tbh. Evans should be back within a month. Defense is the offenses best friend and defense wins championships. We’ve got the talent on offense already, we have to fix the defensive issues and with current roster on defense, we don’t have a chance. Any competent team with a qb is gonna shred us. Gotta get someone better than kj Britt out there asap.
Having Myles Garrett has nothing to do with playing tighter coverage in the secondary. If the CBs are playing 7 yards off, that ball is coming out in 2 seconds and even The Flash or Quicksilver would have a hard time getting to the QB that fast.
Because the D and head coach stinks imo and this isn’t a Super Bowl team. Bowlzos soft zone sucks. CB’s all stink except McCollum. Secondary always seems lost no matter who is on Theodore year after year. To me Bowlzo’s system and coaching isnt good. He also still can’t manage a clock.
Another excellent Pewter Pulse SR. Looks like you need to remind some fans you are not a Bucs fan you just do a damn good job of covering them

That's fair. SirVocea Dennis' injury has wrecked the Bucs defense, especially in coverage.
I agree that if Licht has to answer for anything it is neglecting the linebacker position for years after it was clear White wasn't the answer by 2022
Love your comments
I saw an article and it made a lot of sense. Wouldn't it make sense to see what the Panthers would want for Johnson? My fear is Evans staying healthy after the bye or trying to do too much with Godwin out. On the other hand, I feel like this gives our younger WRs a chance to shine and let us see what we really have. I feel we have a team that if the defense can figure it out, we can make a really deep push into the post season.
Teams rarely trade within the division. He wouldn't be a bad scheme fit, but he is 28. Maybe for a late-round pick I'd consider it.
I think that would be the biggest issue. What may be a 5th round pick from a team outside the division may be an earlier round pick from us. It would be nice to see the price tag at least. Baker could make that work.
Great info
Thank you, bill!
I think the Bucs want to see what they have in their young WRs first. Would be great if some of these guys can develop.
The defense has to improve, I think they're at the bottom and Bakers 5 interceptions in the last two games hurts the Defense by staying longer in the field.
Yes and yes.
Thay need to dump soft zone rookie qb pick us apert
I don’t care if they sign a WR or pass rusher, but they do NEED to sign a LB that can cover. A FA or trade for a late round pick, just ANYONE other than Britt! 🤬
Some very good/fair points here but Kupp could literally plug and play immediately, no? Played in Cohen’s offense, was featured in similar role to Godwin
Yeah, that's the only reason a Kupp trade makes sense to me.
Right we literally let judon got right down to ATL, same with Simmons and Bates...we clearly need dline help but licht is cheap and stubborn...
@@kingcook1485 But Matthew Judon hasn't done anything in ATL. Anthony Nelson has been a better pass rusher.
That's how the Bucs built their Super Bowl teams in 2002 and 2020 with a few free agents sprinkled in.
I’ve been so bummed out all week for our injuries but this right here was a great video.
Thank you!
Sounds like you're making a case to fire the defensive coordinator if this stays the same....
Todd Bowles is the head coach ... and he's the defensive play-caller. And the defense is bad ...
Thank you!
The Problems are not within the offense. It's definitely the defense coverage and defensive game plan.
Fair point.
Well said
Great vid
Thank you!
Facts. Agree 💯
Thank you!
He just cut a 4th rounder. He used a 2nd on a guy who has held a clipboard his entire career. One of his 1st rounders will likely walk after this year. And that's just in the last 4 drafts. I don't think he should make a move but let's not act like he's hoarding gold either.
!!! GO BUCS !!!
I believe that despite the fans input Todd and Jason have full confidence in the personnel they have drafted and trained!
You are correct. Although Todd Bowles wanted Devin White to be re-signed. Wasn't going to happen.
Todd Bowles blitzes regardless of who he has at edge rusher. He was blitz heavy in 2019-2021 when he had Shaq Barrett and JPP.
Not all fans are freaking out..
That's good - glad to hear it!
The Bucs definitely need help at ILB. Although I'd like to see J.J. Russell get some reps. He's impressed in the preseason.
I'm curious to see how creative Liam Coen is going to be on Sunday.
We are not a Myles Garret away from a Superbowl. Let's keep going with what we have and see how far we go. Next year we reload and go all out
That is the plan.
Myles Garret on the D line with Vita and Yaya would be crazy though. You gotta admit it.
So........does it matter how outstanding or spectacular the defensive
player is if we keep playing Todd's stubborn defensive skiils...I've
seen this same predictable defense since leftwich...the only time I
didn't see it is SB 55 which they won because: I'm a Buc fan now,I came here
with Brady...so 20 yrs I heard no whinning, just results ,6 championships....
We now have an excellent OC... but our HC,DC is exposed by our OC...Bowles
better tighten up or we ain't going far...
You're not wrong.
Yea I’m starting to come around to the idea of not doing anything. Next year might be our year. Let’s do our best with what we have and draft very well! When Mike gets back let’s just try and het him 1k yards and play for next year.
Seems like that is the plan. Bucs are still 4-3. Sunday is a BIGGGGGGG game.
2022 Logan Hall as pick 1 Goedeke pick 2 ( he picked him as a potential guard just like he did when he drafted Hainsey)
In 2024 he used a first round pick on a Center while Connor Williams was available in free agency in a very cheap contract.
Any young receivers / ilb out there on practice squads that have high potential that we might be able to steal ?
The Bucs added two WRs to their practice squad over the last two weeks.
I'm with you, cuse.
what to be done is given there wide receivers playing time
We'll see on Sunday which young guys can play.
I remember at one point we would have won almost every game if we scored atleast 30 with Bowles defense. What is going on?
We had stars on defense that carried Bowles soft schemes.
What we truly need is a new Defense Coach and have Bowels just be the Head Coach. In my opinion. Let’s Go Bucs!!!🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
That won't happen as long as Todd Bowles is here. He's the play-caller.
Is the soft zone coverage a result of him not trusting his corners?
I think that's part of it. Philosophically, Todd Bowles does not like to give up the big play. Hates the ball flying over the head of his defense. So he'd rather die by a thousand cuts than a big stab wound.
I think Licht getting burned by the Julio signing is the big reason he’s hesitant to pull the trigger this time arouns
I think you're right.
How about someone call AB to see if he would like to play less than one season for some good money??
I think that bridge is burned.
Thank you and I agree with you.
Beginning to question our training staff now that Bucky isn’t practicing either
That has nothing to do with the training staff. Bucky Irving has been dealing with a toe injury dating back to college.
Yes and yes.
I agree. The Bucs need one more really good draft class to become legit Super Bowl contenders. That's why I had them 10-7 this year.
Because Jason would not give the Browns 3 1st round picks plus a 230 mio contract for Myles Garrett. ;o)
Exactly. Rice and Moss aren’t going to win us anything with that atrocious defense being played. No point in risking the future for an 8-9 year.
Sad but true.
I feel like the jets would be willing to dump Mike Williams since acquiring Adams.
We have plenty of talent on our team
We will be fine
We'll see.
We can barely run the ball with Mike and Chris. TE’s are trash… without our best weapons. How do yall think our offense will look now!
Barely run the ball? Bucs are 8th in the league in rushing right now.
17-0 or 0-17
im riding with my boys' point blank great pewter pulse ignore the cry babies we definitely still have a chance to make the playoffs☠️🏴☠️☠️💯
We have to be dominant upfront.
if we lose to the Falcons were in trouble
Indeed.
That young lb yall lost Dennis ? When is he coming back? He a better cover lb than britt and was playing good until he got hurt
You are correct. SirVocea Dennis going down has proven to be catastrophic for the Bucs defense, especially in coverage.

I don't think there are any good options right now that meet that criteria.
if you were going to do it you should have signed the deal before tonights game
So what we’re saying is keep our guys and take defensive coordinator role away from Bowles
Inside backers (both of them) and edge rushers are the problem SC. That’s very obvious.
None of those guys are as good as Antonio brown if he could’ve keep his head right
True.
Crazy how some fans and media still think Todd Blows is a good defensive coach. His scheme is predictable and easy to exploit, Arians sticking the team with this 🤡 is a kick in the nuts to fans
ints 21 points kill a defense
Baker”Winston” Mayfield. Pick after pick, after pick!!!!!
He's gotta knock off the INTs for sure.

Todd bowles has no clue what hes doing. Lmao. This pass defense has been between 25-32 for like 3 or 4 years now. But i thought bowles was this mastermind??? Lmao

Kirk and Pittman are perfect fill-ins Kupp is overrated, everybody looks good in the rams system.
We don't need them and if we do what happened when the starter comes back then what and how would you pay everyone else OK
Does Garrett fix the ILB or DB issues? Or could draft pick address those problems more?
@@BryKG Jason Licht will need to address CB and ILB next year with premium draft picks.
Joe Tryon has 1 sack
Hes being used to drop back in coverage a lot this year. That's more on scheme than him
Yep. And Bucs OLBs collectively have 5.5. Tampa Bay's DTs have 8.
Not a good take at all, the lack of talent because Licht decided not to anything is destroying this season!!!!!
8:04 no.. they lost because of the refs
The defense let that OT TD go like they gave up on defending anything. Refs got them there, but defense blew it
Because the D and head coach stinks imo and this isn’t a Super Bowl team. Bowlzos soft zone sucks. CB’s all stink except McCollum. Secondary always seems lost no matter who is on Theodore year after year. To me Bowlzo’s system and coaching isnt good. He also still can’t manage a clock.
