I will never trust any week as an "easy" game. I still remember losing to the jets after they lost their qb, when testeverde came out of retirement, beat us, and retired again. Worst week ever.
That kind of help isn’t what we were thinking about. Was hoping for an Edge rusher. Sorry but the Bucs need to be better and it’s not by playing bad teams. Another 9-8 is not going to move the needle.
Help is coming. Its Bowles getting his young guys coached up. The defense started the year with hopes and dreams due to key offensive signings. Attrition hit that side early and often, and his ILB group has just completely let him down. He has a knack for getting his guys inspired to play their best football at the end of the season. Its what he does. He has been aggressive all season long, and it hasnt panned as well as anticipated. Its a 17 game season. These kids are playing hard and not giving up. Lets Gooooo!
If we get our defense to play league average we’re a top team in NFL. We have one of the best versatile offense. Only year in recent memory with great run game
But my issue is that a lot of bad teams is left but we can beat them. Ok but where is the respect in that from the league. We have to start beating quality teams starting with the chiefs to earn respect. So what if we beat a bunch of bad teams and make the playoffs are we as Bucs fans happy with that really?
9-8 is not going to do it this year. The Bucs have to be no worse than 10-7. On the other side of the coin, if Jason Licht doesn't swallow some pride and bring in some real reinforcements, especially on defense, the Bucs are probably going to lose 2 of the next 3 or more, and they will become sellers by season's end. If that's the case, Licht needs to go with Bowles.
@@chriswolfinger6638 Maybe more people should. The Buccaneers were considered contenders and the favorites to win the NFC South. They beat the Lions in Detroit in week 2. If this rash of injuries turns this team into a team with a losing record, why should Bowles be fired? He's fielding the practice squad level depth that he has been given to work with. It's Licht that has sat on his hands and done absolutely nothing to fill the holes. He simply watched a team the was considered contender turn in a losing season and did nothing to try to help the coach on the field. Why would Bowles be to blame, but not Licht? Does Licht receive a paycheck during the regular season, or just in the offseason? I mean, we are talking about a man who's big offseason acquisition on the defensive side of the ball was Randy Gregory.
@@mjsheets5936 You cant force people not on the team to enter free agency nor can you force them to sign to your team if they don't want. then you have to factor in what it would cost them and what they have available.Other teams may have more cap space while also being a more popular team which gives the players to get there name out more and things of that nature. licht has also shown he is much better in the draft than most teams which means they value picks more. Also if you check back this team was regarded as not a contented and were predicted to not even win the division by many.
Pretty easy tbh. @ Saints @ Broncos Chargers @ Home @ Vikings @ Raiders Giants @ Home @ Commanders Panthers @ Home. at best 2 Losses Against the Commanders and Vikings. at worst Lose to the Saints, Broncos, Chargers, Vikings, and Commanders.
The problem that I see is our defense unless something amazing happens, this defense kind of sucks. And I'm not holding my breath on any team looking like an easy win because of how bad our defense is
We need defensive help. I don't care how bad these teams records are after the bye week. If we don't show up or make costly mistakes or if the injury bug starts hitting us again, this also could turn into a lost season and that my friend would bum me out big time. So yes, schedule is favorable after the bye, but remember, our Bucs have to show up and play and that's on both sides of the ball! LFG!!
I would feel better about the team if we could take a win vs Chiefs and/or 49ers. I love the 2nd half schedule & agree with SR, but I need a win vs. a strong team as a confidence builder.
I love ya, SR. But this Pewter Pulse is a reach lol. A friendlier schedule doesn’t mean help is on the way. Also, NO OPPONENT is an easy opponent for this defense. 😬
A little click-baity on the title there, Reynolds. But with this defense as it's currently constructed and coached, no remaining games can be considered probable wins. The blueprint on how to beat Bowles scheme and his stubbornness of personnel has been laid down and every other team will use it. Shoot out wins are hard to pull off in the NFL as we just saw this week. So, it's looking more like a 7-10 type year to me.
So the crappy teams the Bucs play after the bye can possibly save Bowles job if he wins most of them making the playoffs and we take the risk of losing the best OC we have ever had. Hmmm...let 's think about it.
@@rickpeso7854 Well if he is offered a HC position let's say with the Cowboys it might be something he can't refuse. He would have to be offered HC with the Bucs to stay.
An easier schedule is "help on the way?" I prefer the bucs to fix their D now, and either give the Chiefs/49ers a run for their money or outright beat them. I think I see a way. I'd just stick Lavonte David in the Sirvacea Dennis role. I'm hearing Vi Jones. I'm a little intrigued by Vi. I'm hoping for a double digit win season; so, I am hoping for Vi Jones to surprise. Vi Jones hasn't been kicked off the practice squad yet; so, maybe he's donig good things behind the scenes.
The Chargers unless a miracle happens will also be a loss. The west coast teams are always a problem. The Bucs historically have done poorly against teams on the west coast. One year was an exception with Jon Gruden when they won both games they had on the west coast - against the Chargers and the 49ers.They won't be 11-6. Their best opportunity is to go 10-7 which is what I said before the season started. I don't believe they will make the playoffs but I think Todd Bowles will keep his job, particularly if they improve the defense. Jason Licht has never thrown away draft picks so all the analysts talking about the Bucs trading before the trade deadline don't know the GM.
We absolutely should be looking to trade at the Edge Rusher position. Give up JTS and a 3rd (conditional 2nd) for Maxx Crosby and you have a completely revamped edge rush. Maxx Crosby has more sacks than our entire edge group combined. If we can fix the edge then we can have the LB's sit back more often to cover the midfield which has been our weakest two spots on the defense all season. Teams will not be able to double team Vea and Crosby on the same side without leaving massive gaps for even a single safety blitz package or Cancey and Diaby breaking through for a sack.
You heard it here first! Bucs gives the Chiefs their first loss of the season. Bucs play better against good teams and are inconsistent with teams they should beat.💯
I hate that the Bucs have to beat a bunch of bad teams because that’s what we are known for beating bad teams we have to start beating teams like the chiefs and other really good teams to earn any respect

I think regardless of how the season ends, You promote Liam to the HC position and say "Thank you for your service" to Bowles. If you're a smart organization. Coen would likely hire on a new DC that fits his vision for a more modern football team on offense and defense.
I will never trust any week as an "easy" game. I still remember losing to the jets after they lost their qb, when testeverde came out of retirement, beat us, and retired again. Worst week ever.
Wow! That's going way back, but I remember that one, too.
Bowles job should be on the line anyway even with a bounce back after the bye week. We cant be repeating this pattern every year
You're not wrong. At some point the Bucs need to go on a run when they are ABOVE .500 - not always below it!
Can't look past any of these teams! Remember the Broncos game 👀
True, but the Broncos are now 5-3 and are 5-1 since beating the Bucs. They're actually a really good team.

I'm with you.
So the front office has conceded this season.
That's one way to put it...
Exactly what that means...office knows toilet bowles will be fired after this season...bucs aren't going to finish better than 8 wins at most
We'll make Danny Dimes looks like an absolute HOF legend and get him a new deal. This is one of the worst defenses I've ever seen from the bucs.
