Uber is sick to put this out there. I as a driver am seriously worried that I am going to crash any day now using this app. Theres way to many distractions on it. Im also worried that if I feel this way how many other drivers are going to get hurt. Especially with trips like this popping up. This is a distraction alone in itself to constantly watch out that were not being taken advantage of on each and every trip that gets sent our way. And now customers are getting so angry with all the constant pings and driving distractions that they are giving bad ratings. Just today I had someone say can you please turn that off its really annoying me. So I had to tell them sorry I forgot to hit the stop accepting new trips button when I started your ride.
There's always someone desperate and eager to take this kind of trip, which is why Uber feels emboldened to offer ridiculous fares-they know they'll find someone .
Funny thing is I know both of those areas. That part of lincolnton, nc is not a bad area to pickup on. Myrtle drop off is near the grandstand which this time of year is not too busy, but still. Add in if this trip were done today, it was pouring rain all day….it would be horrible
Uber getting crazier and crazier I bet they charged the customer $340 or more lol I tell you I got lucky the other week got a pickup with lyft from Summerville SC to Beaufort SC for $130 about 74 miles when I got there I was just gonna rideshare there then I got a $286 ride back to Summerville I was like wow looked what they charged the passenger was $473.99.
I have noticed that Uber is relying more and more on drivers calculating based on hourly wage. We are labeled as independant contractors, but bank on people that don't know how to measure checks and balances of a business. A lot of trips I see in Phoenix are regularly $22-$25/hr, BUT doing that equates close to 35-50 miles. This trip is doing the same, it's 4.5 hours BUT that's over $36/hr, disregarding time and mileage back home. Smoke and mirrors.
Do you see the “exclusive” tag next to Uber pet? Uber claims a flash promo of 40% savings to rider. The problem is that at times even when no promo is active, Uber still pays you as if the promo still going. They charge the passengers full price and pay the driver 40% less using that exclusive tag. I do Lyft 95% of the time because of area filters, not to mention Uber DF'S suck. When I do do Uber no trip over 25 miles. This is a 400 dollar trip and the driver better have 3 harbor freight moving blankets in the trunk. Don't know why they would even open Uber Pets on the app.
this trip should be at least double to even give it a consideration. But don't worry Uber will never be accountable now because now they have a Algorithm that they can blame every time and each time they are questioned.

That's not the type of ride you take with a complete stranger, and their pet. That's the type of ride you do after converting someone to a private client, and know them well enough to be able to anticipate there should be no problems, and that you will be well paid for the ride.
On a positive note, the rider in this ride is rated a 5.0 😂 -wouldn’t be shocked if the pet is a Pitbull, named “Killa” …named after the rider’s street name. --question: What would be worse? Receiving $0.00 tip or a $1 dollar. What’s funny is that anyone who doesn’t accept garbage exclusive rides like this, gets their Acceptance rate reduced by 1% each ride now.. So I chose to🍒 pick.

Drop off is right in the tourist area of Myrtle Beach by the motels. Very odd. Def no for me. Would love to hear from the driver who took the trip though.

That trip should be at least $250 and it should come with a wear and tear on your vehicle and a gas card because reality probably going to have to put two to three times of gas you're going to need to put gas going over there and gas coming back😢 and whoever the driver is I hope you take some snacks with you😂
If you stay thinking and driving about that long trip what can happen with the passanger or the way back. This can be dangerous for penny. Never think and drive. If you are starting think while driving please leave this platform. A long trip could be dangerous. divide that by half because you have to return so you are now at about 18 an hr, then how much gas will it cost u. Generously speaking 20 mpg (cause this is the lowest fare im sure Uberx) so 440 miles for round trip (guessing 22+ gallons) not sure of price of gas in Ohio but Chicago its about 3.59 (about $80) for a 4 cyl cheapy car), in reality you car is earning about $90 for 9 hrs worth of work, someone smarter than me can calculate the depreciation of 440 miles. After all that your actual driving work has to be for free or way below min wage, if you dont believe me how much would you have to pay a driver for 9 hrs. Not only did you not make money on this trip, in actuality you came out negative for all the resources invested to do this trip, you devalued your car for zero gains.

I got a ride offer going 195 miles from SE Virginia to Carrollton GA. Uber offered me $159. I almost cried laughing.

taxi will cost $3 per mile, thats little over $650. after expenses and 10hrs the profit would be minimum $350. that would be just decent
