Sorry for the very late comment, but i bet you that they will port this game like that bleach brave souls game, but the problem with online games nowadays for all platforms is that they all have a lot of underlying issues, like recycled content and slow updates making you burnout from the games, pay to progress for pve, pay to win for pvp, a lot of grinding just to get little amounts of upgrade materials, random game bug issues, random crashes, and the most notorious thing for all online service games is the one were your manual or auto save data gets corrupted that couldn’t be recovered by the company by any means. Not to mention ddosers and hackers can steal player accounts or extract content from players accounts that can’t be recovered by the devs and their managent team or other staff members. Also lets not forget the most dreaded one of all, the game company shutting down their online service games for a number of reasons. Online service games as a whole has always been flawed, they aren’t permanent just temporary, even one of those consistent, with a good track record and reputation game companies will reach that same breaking point when pushed enough and never bounce back that other online service games have faced, the only question that we should be asking ourselves is, “when will they reach that breaking point?”.
I really wish you’d cover the yu yu hakashu game for the gameboy. It’s like at least 20 years old maybe, but I still remember it so vividly from when I was in grade school
yo, first off much love for even trying this game out. I am a content creator for this game and I agree with a lot of the things u said in ur video, no. 1, stamina is the biggest issue in this game, everyone who plays this game can agree 1000%. I've been playing since launch and fortunately have not spent a single penny in this game but truly find it enjoyable to play. When it comes to farming books, coins, and memory cards, there are different typing each days but for example, lets say it is red typing for books and you manage to clear lvl 80, once it comes back next week as typings rotate everyday, the red typing stage will continue from lvl 80 as u cleared it and can automatically skip or attempt to beat the higher lvl stages if u can. The "pvp" system is not the greatest but lots of gachas have an automated pvp system such as this one and it was confirmed in a in-game notice that REAL-TIME PVP will be added to this game later on and is currently being tested on Square Enix end. I would say this game is not perfect by any means, but with the events they have, and if u truly grind the game out, it does pay off as it is less clearing you have to do and more skipping stages u have cleared. I have played a lot of gachas and Fullmetal Alchemist: Mobile isn't one where the devs are not interested in this game. In fact I believe this game makes up a hefty amount for Square Enix mobile games revenue wise meaning people do enjoy it, I just think it takes more time to enjoy as I was realizing that each day that went by playing and making content on this game. Would love to see u try it even more if u have time and or interested in perhaps what u may have possibly missed out on (certain aspect wise).
wish we could get anime mobile games that instead of being f2p with a gacha system, could be like a paid game. Like psp anime games, that way we get good gameplay on the go with no gacha system ruining it. Too bad its not happening cuz money
I'm convinced that an Open World FMA game in the style of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot would be great and would sell really well. We can only hope that one day we get it...
As someone who kinda enjoy gacha games this is was an interesting review. I'm enjoying the grind and side quests as much as the main story. I love building my characters and trying out teams. @@pascalsimioli6777 not really, and I don't see how you got to that conclusion with so little information (baseless assumption). I said I "kinda enjoy" gacha games because I not that invested on them. The time I spend on them is basad on how much I like the gameplay, how long can it keep me hooked. It varies a lot from game to game. A few weeks is the time I usually spend in games I like, but not love, and that's true for non-gacha games as well. Hey Globku, I thought you review was a good job on explaining on pros and cons of Full Metal Alchemist game. Though I see this issue with many similar mobile gacha, but I glad to see that put some effort in story mode and the gameplay, even though most of mini-gated by the leveling systems. Off topic, but going to review the Made in Abyss game when it comes out?
Brave Souls is the only anime Gacha that is good. Mainly cus it isn't turn-based or anything. Turn-based or Tile-based combat is soo bland to me, cus there's no tech or tips… just doo as much damage as possible before your turn is finished. With Brave Souls you actually have to know how much you will do so you don't get yourself within the enemy's attacks.
It's really a shame that this game is so high quality and then it's true self comes out. As a person who plays a gacha game(Dokkan battle) I can say this, I would never suggest anyone play them, the constant strife of managing a stamina bar and having units that aren't strong enough, not because you didn't think smart but because you weren't at *this* level is unfun. For those who Play Dokkan the word "Red Zone" should give you an idea as while it's hard and can be beaten. It can be so easy to just be a whale and have an easier time grinding links and beating said event. This game being as good as it is shows the optimisation of square. But also shows the flaws of the company who imposed the gacha idea/ Modern gaming as a whole where games either cost an arm and a leg( Oh and I can't forget to mention sometimes just a broken mess day 1 until patches that require internet come out) or are f2p and a very money grabbing. Sadly I don't know where this game/ if there will even be another FMA game will go but Thanks for the review(and sorry for the paragraph)
As someone who played a few gachas a lot, I think this game is a bit in a weird spot... It will be mostly probably pull in because of IP, because the gameplay seems to be more complex than what you usually get in mobile games + long loading times... not ideal as a game to burn a few minutes on, as you pointed out. At the same time it does have systems which encourage that, so it has bits of both worlds. I'm not sure if I myself will like it either
But as a gacha player I’ll say this to me FMAM is a rare breed it’s the only game where I’ve shot through the game quickly (at Rank 54 on Chapter 11 with level 80s) and I’m not just like “shit I went too hard now I don’t know what to do and now I can’t get anything” because the resources while slowed down or still plentiful and I like them changing the free stamina to 150 and getting 6 pies everyday also with free gems you can get some 120 stamina boosts and not feel like you are giving up precious material for the stamina it’s honestly one of the most generous games I’ve played and my account feels stacked even as a F2P but I can get how the level cap feels rough which them giving away a bunch of tickets for stage resets is nice and all but I can see how it can wall someone and put them off
It looks similar to the one piece fighting path in terms of story progression and cut scenes it's also f2p friendly since at a certain point of summoning u get the featured character from a banner since it also gives a lot berries(gems)
I fully agree that gacha is not a genre but a business strategy. Anyone who thinks gacha is a genre by itself are likely people who have already spent way more than they really should on a gacha game.
what im curious about if you would have infinitie ressources would the game be more enjoyable for you i know about other games that you can hack and just give you infitie energery or would that also ruin the progression feeling
I understand his hate for gachas, and hes not wrong but also i do HAVE to say if you play it right bleach brave souls can be extremely generous compared to most, stamina system still sucks but it does rechage fairly quickly.
Can this game be played on tablet ? I will be experiencing a 26h travel, twice, next summer and I want a nice game based on a licence I love and that I can enjoy.
That's why I love Arknights, great story with endgame modes that doesnt need stamina, so I can play whenever. Tho cause of this most of gachas feel meh for me compared to arknights xD
soo... for western release, we want the same story focus game, without any character outside story mode, only story mode, no stamina, enjoy. on console. i'll gladly pay 60 bucks 1 time instead free stamina game. 2 good gatcha games are fire emblem on mobile and langrisser mobile, very generous with the system and same strategy game
Ehhh I play 2 gacha games mainly dokkan and db legends and I can tell you it’s one of those things that you wanna put down because of how shit the game treats you sometimes but you’ll always come back. At least for me anyway lol. The gacha aspect of these games usually doesn’t bother me too much cuz if the gameplay is somewhat fun then I’ll grind for the currency that I need to summon. Typically tho unless they add like new things for me to do on the game I won’t really log on. Or a lot of the times these games have summon banners where they’ll do discounts for like 3 days then they go away and that when I get on cuz I grind as much as possible to make use of discounts
Some of gacha game has a great honeymoon phase and fma mobile is definitely one of those. Your time having fun with it is not a waste and you should stop once it stop being fun.
I don't think I heard, is this a free to play or paid for mobile game? I assume free to play with paid currencies and ads will be the way they go. But I could be wrong.
I get into these games for the actual gameplay but I think they are too greedy trying to get me to spend the money on the gacha and it ends up with me not spending any money and playing a console game instead when I would pay $40 for some of these My stance on free-to-play games is they shouldn't go above retail price to unlock or make easily unlockable all the content and grind is personal taste but I am not big on it and prefer playing to experience the story and then improve my skill
I don't understand why we need to shy away from acting like these games aren't trash. Gatcha games are horrible. They have been really bad for a really long time and it's like it's almost taboo to say "nah this sucks"
They just want to slow you down before releasing new contents. Dragonball legend used to be really easy out of energy and resources but now energy is not a problem anymore. Lol
why in godsname would you explain / justifie or feel the need to explain the hate against gatcha , i get you have a lot of young vieweres but gatcha is straight up I GOT YA , its a system thats made to get yo money out of you in the most criminal way, no justification necesary
every time i hear "Gatcha Community" i got a little scared. The mere thought that this exist makes no sense to me, this games are fun, its like any collectable game thats out there (TCGs for exemple), but the systems are so toxic that i dont understand how can be soo many people that enjoy this games. But yeh, toxic relationships exists in any shape or form.
You were very careful to not upset the gacha "community". It was a fair review but it also felt like you were walking on eggshells. Call it like it is. Gachas are garbage, predatory games created solely to abuse their playerbase's mental state and wallets. Millions of dollars have gone into research on how to create the most addicting mechanics and systems to keep players coming back and to hopefully turn them into gambling addicts. When a studio decides to create a gacha, they are essentially saying "we want to make our game worse intentionally so we can screw over our players." There are no exceptions to this, and if you think that even a single gacha game was created with "love and passion" and that even a single person who is behind the gacha decisions cares about you, you are wrong. It is disgusting that the first FMA game we have gotten for so long is gacha. No matter how many positives the game has, it's ruined entirely based on those mechanics. I could live with a mobile game, but I will not tolerate a gacha game. The Gacha community needs to understand that while they may like some gacha games, they are directly advocating for one of the most predatory business practices on the market, and are basically begging to be screwed over. Gacha games should be outlawed. Star Wars Battlefront's progression is nothing compared to how gacha games are, but nobody cares. "It's free to play! You don't need to spend a dime to play! You can earn free drops!" None of that changes the fact that these games were literally built to turn people into gambling addicts. It doesn't work on everyone, but the people who it does work on end up spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars just for randomized chances at getting their waifus.
As a gacha gamer for 15+ years I can speak for our community WE ALL HATE GACHA GAMES but developers refuse to make a regular good game for these animes so we indulge in this gacha hell just for relief just for us to play our favorite animes i would not play FGO aka Gacha Hell if they made a good FGO game our wallets can handle so much maybe one day we can get a regular full story game with no gacha but damn the feeling of rolling ur fav char hit dif but there is nothing more devastating than not rolling that char an ur wallet is on life support that is true despair
we're still getting console anime games that aren't gacha, they're just not ready yet to be released, not to mention we do have a lot of them already on consoles why don't you go play instead instead of wasting 15+ years on gacha games if you hate them that much? the fact you've wasted 15+ years on gacha games says it all lol
@@martinde-serres8724 lmao its not a waste if i enjoyed it an NO we are not getting any good console games unfortunately i havent seen any FGO, FMA, fairy tail, an Onepiece console/pc games an DBZ keep releasing mediocre games like i explained when u get the chars u want the adrenaline is like no other but when u dont its hell thus i hate the gacha games gamble system but i enjoy playing it for the rush an story

I also totally agree to this video before watching it.
That's why I love Arknights, great story with endgame modes that doesnt need stamina, so I can play whenever. Tho cause of this most of gachas feel meh for me compared to arknights xD
Nice Review
To be honest that's why I don't like reviews because I fell like it's more of a personal thing, and less of a way to rate the game or movie...
Early and nice review
Review finally
So this is RAID: Shadow Legends anime edition?
soo... for western release, we want the same story focus game, without any character outside story mode, only story mode, no stamina, enjoy. on console. i'll gladly pay 60 bucks 1 time instead free stamina game.
JOJO ASBR IN A FEW HRS
I get into these games for the actual gameplay but I think they are too greedy trying to get me to spend the money on the gacha and it ends up with me not spending any money and playing a console game instead when I would pay $40 for some of these
My stance on free-to-play games is they shouldn't go above retail price to unlock or make easily unlockable all the content and grind is personal taste but I am not big on it and prefer playing to experience the story and then improve my skill
You should try Dokkan Battle. 🔥❤
I love this kind of content 💖🔆🤪
Why is this a mobile game?
This game seems to have everything a console game would need (minus the gacha system)
Because gatcha systems makes money
I don't understand why we need to shy away from acting like these games aren't trash. Gatcha games are horrible. They have been really bad for a really long time and it's like it's almost taboo to say "nah this sucks"
I wonder what his opinion is on fgo
They just want to slow you down before releasing new contents. Dragonball legend used to be really easy out of energy and resources but now energy is not a problem anymore. Lol
i would pay money if they port this on consoles
only if they remove all the gatcha system and focus only on storymode
Did this game come out?
So you are addicted. This type of games is gambling. It is toxic and more harmful to you than you'd ever want.
I hope it comes out in english
Ngl it looks like it might function like Fire Emblem Awakening
This looks cool, too bad I’m not gonna play it lol
Some of these mobile games look cool but I refuse to game on my phone
Seems like a good game
why in godsname would you explain / justifie or feel the need to explain the hate against gatcha , i get you have a lot of young vieweres but gatcha is straight up I GOT YA , its a system thats made to get yo money out of you in the most criminal way, no justification necesary
every time i hear "Gatcha Community" i got a little scared. The mere thought that this exist makes no sense to me, this games are fun, its like any collectable game thats out there (TCGs for exemple), but the systems are so toxic that i dont understand how can be soo many people that enjoy this games. But yeh, toxic relationships exists in any shape or form.
hey globku can you make a review fate grand order
I need this game
The fighting system looks nicee!
Gacha system should be illigal...
I cant believe he didnt even play dokkan 😭
i think he would despise the gameplay. no story (it's dragonball), tetris ball random system for fights, the same and same again
Please US release date please please
As a gacha gamer for 15+ years I can speak for our community WE ALL HATE GACHA GAMES but developers refuse to make a regular good game for these animes so we indulge in this gacha hell just for relief just for us to play our favorite animes i would not play FGO aka Gacha Hell if they made a good FGO game our wallets can handle so much maybe one day we can get a regular full story game with no gacha but damn the feeling of rolling ur fav char hit dif but there is nothing more devastating than not rolling that char an ur wallet is on life support that is true despair
we're still getting console anime games that aren't gacha, they're just not ready yet to be released, not to mention we do have a lot of them already on consoles
why don't you go play instead instead of wasting 15+ years on gacha games if you hate them that much?
the fact you've wasted 15+ years on gacha games says it all lol
@@martinde-serres8724 lmao its not a waste if i enjoyed it an NO we are not getting any good console games unfortunately i havent seen any FGO, FMA, fairy tail, an Onepiece console/pc games an DBZ keep releasing mediocre games like i explained when u get the chars u want the adrenaline is like no other but when u dont its hell thus i hate the gacha games gamble system but i enjoy playing it for the rush an story
ok
