The two big reasons we get this impression that nowadays anime games are worse: > Even smaller animes used to get a game, today even the big popular ones struggles to get a single game > And even when a anime game is made, most of the time is a japan only, mobile only, gacha game. Which really doesn't help
The PS Vita is by far the worst when it comes to this. Locking a plethora of games to only Japan is atrocious marketing when many of them were highly demanded in the rest of the world. I will never understand their way of thinking.
The answer is yes AND no. If DBZ Kakarot came out when i was a kid, I'd have had it as my favorite game for a long time. We're just more critical now and get a lot of stuff like the One Punch Man game that bring down the average opinion.
Plus, the DBZ story has been retold so many times already. Kakarot has retold it the best, but there's just so many others that have done it previously that people are over it. I personally think Kakarot is a great game, it's not the best game, and I don't think it leans into RPG elements enough, but it's still solid.
@@Sir_Slimbreadeh Kakarrot left out some iconic moments, and added in fights that didn't happen. Can't even give it the praise of retelling the story the best. Agree with your other points tho
@@King_Ryuga Regardless of leaving out some things, and adding in others, it still retold more of the story and more accurately via actual gameplay and cutscenes unlike games like Budokai Tenkaichi where most of the story was told through text summaries(or just glossed over), and games like Battle of Z where they decided to not really have any form of storytelling(pretty much just jumping battle to battle).
@@King_Ryugayeah but what game hasn’t left stuff out? It covers the most the best. As a game it’s a 6 as a dragon ball Z retelling it’s an 8.8. Dragon ball Z has never looked so good
It doesn't help that people do kinda want the same thing. For as many people that complain about anime games being a cash grab and not doing anything different, I hear others who just want any anime game to be Storm or FighterZ. Then when we do get games that aren't the typical fair like a versus or arena fighter, it gets no love or disregarded by most like Fairy Tail, OP Odyssey, Made in Abyss, and to some extent DB: The Breakers. Not every anime game has to be a fighting game, but it almost feels like if it not, then it's doomed in terms of success.
I absolutely agree with the first part. The same people who constantly shit on arena fighters are also the same people begging for everything to be a FighterZ clone or yet another open world game, yet when something actually new and different does happen, they ignore or reject it. As for the second part,...eh. Problem is the vast majority of anime just don't translate well into video games and most of the ones that do tend to be battle shounen and other action oriented series. On some level, it does make sense that people would want a fighting game or at least some form of action game, considering that that's the main focus for a lot of these series. Granted, I myself made a whole post showing how arena fighters aren't nearly as oversaturated as everyone says they are, then proceeded to post a bunch of examples that weren't that.
@@s3studios597 Yeah, I agree that if the anime is action oriented, then it should be probably be a fighting game. But then again, does something like Bleach have to only be a versus game instead of an RPG(not saying Bleach shouldn't have a great versus game because it should)? Obviously the games have to be quality too, which also spotlights the other problem: that some games aren't gonna be 10/10 experiences.
@@KidArkx The point wasn't DBZ exclusive, but even if you make it so, you had a lot more early 2000s titles with way better and more interesting mechanics and ideas than you have today. They all play it so safe none of them are interesting these days, even if you can't call most of them "bad". So of course today's games in sheer numbers won't be as "bad" as the past, they're all lackluster.
I think games these days are still amazing. As a kid I would have loved a Xenoverse 2 style of game, or any game to be as fleshed out of a fighter is Jojo All Star Battle R. Hell, Naruto x Boruto Storm Connections looks amazing and the My Hero One Justice series was going very strong up until recently so yeah, anime games still thriving, only thing that’s changed is we have constant access to the internet and anybodies random opinions lol
A lot of anime games made these days are incomplete. The dev time simply isn’t long enough for a lot of these games. If games like Xenoverse and FighterZ had a lot more time, they wouldn’t need to be full of DLC and in FighterZ case, have a lot more single player content and rollback.
@@intotheverse3363 the case of incompleteness in terms of post launch dlc is a strong case that doesn’t only apply to anime games, but to the entire gaming medium. It’s a good point though, just one that doesn’t really say much about “anime games” being worse specifically these days
Tbh Breakers isn’t very “bad”. It’s a simple game that I can pick up for 20-25 minutes, play a game or 2 and then just move on. Doesn’t make it bad, it just makes it simple.
Reasonable but the Animations and overall graphics are a huge downgrade, it looks like a ps3 game in terms of aesthetic. But yeah it is just a free time Kinda game.
The problem with Breakers is that it was intentionally designed as a side game and it shows. No proper long term support, very limited communication with the devs and no actual marketing.
As a guy who plays it pretty much daily I dont particularly enjoy the game overall I have some small enjoyment small hates but an hour later I'm doing something else. And if breakers dosen't get any more support after season 4,I'm fine with that
I agree with you. To me, I think the main reason for some people saying they like the older games more, was because they used to be able put out way more games in a shorter timeframe than is possible now. With so many games, they were bound to strike gold with a few. And the bad ones made the good ones stand out. Very different from today where every game takes a much longer time to develop and is a bigger investment. (But they do also make a lot of mobile games which I don't care for lol)
I definetely feel you on less animes getting games. I remember when the lads were mad enough to release a Death Note videogame based around a "Distrust"-like trust meter you'd have to build through arguing to get the Investigation Team to side with Light; or even sports games. We had so many Inazuma Eleven games, Hajime no Ippo and even Haikyu, but now it's just Captain Tsubasa and nothing else, even though I'm sure people would love to see Kuroko no Basket, Slam Dunk or Eyeshield 21 get a new game.
The point about the games not feeling fresh sums up the issue with Xenoverse 1 and 2 perfectly. This guy I know insists that 2 is worse than 1, when in reality it was an improvement in nearly every aspect. The thing is, it didn't play differently enough from the 1st one, so it often felt like you were just playing the same game again.
@@Sir_Slimbread Right now it does due to the amount of content it has, but back in the day when the game first released it felt like xenoverse 1.5. Didn't feel all that different.
@UnravelGhoulx I never felt that way, and neither did many others. There were so many gameplay tweaks, more customization, more missions(Story, PQ, and Raids), move characters, more moves, better mentor system, much better and bigger HUB, etc.
The more responsive control alone was such a massive upgrade from the first game that it literally could've been the only thing they did and i'd have been okay with it.
So, I do somewhat disagree with this video. I think the two mistakes this video makes is 1.) comparing the worst of the old games to the best of the modern ones 2.) thinking that people are judging old games based solely on it’s technical ability. What draws a lot of fans to the older games was there attention to detail and the clear inspiration the developers had for the series themselves. Budokai 3/Tenkaichi 3 (while you can argue Fighterz is a better game on a technical level) feels more like a DragonBall Z experience than anything that has come out since. While Fighterz is fun, it is essentially Marvel vs Capcom with DBZ skins. And that’s why a lot of fans feel the way they do.
Nowadays, almost every game has online mode. Online mode tends to be a sweaty tryhard that can ruin the experience compare to PS2 days where you play with your homie beside you.
Amazing video, really loved this one. It's really the sad the shift to mobile games, hate the feeling of needing luck to play with my favorite characters or spend tons of money.
Breakers do be getting a bad wrap. It isn’t what you expect from a dragonball game but some variety is fun sometimes. At least it’s something different than the developers having to make the story of z again for the upteenth time again. The card games and heroes are also different as well. If anything this helps prevent burnout and bringing out lackluster games for DB. Breakers will never be balanced. It flip flops between which role is stronger (survivor currently). The game should not cost $20. I see why not free though. Bedsides a payment for the raider and maybe getting the skills you want early you very much do not need to pay money in this game. You can get quite far without it. You won’t get the new stuff fast but you don’t have to if you have a decent build. This game isn’t as predatory as people say. I’ve seen far worse for games like these. As dead as everyone says this game is, it always has an active player base. On PlayStation and even switch (where most online multi-platform games die). Is the game flawed, very much so. If this game interests you, then you are able to have fun with it.
why do yall always say that yall are tired of playing through the z story for the millionth time? the only game in in the past 20 years to do that was kakarot that i can recall. even xeno wasnt an exact retelling if the story.
@@GolDJewelz I like those old games, but you got to admit back then that was all it was. While gameplay was easily the best part that made those games the story was repetitive (doesn’t mean bad). As of recent it’s been better. Anything pre 2010s was just that though.
@boblipsmacker Not an exact retelling, but it still retold the story of Z. Uktimate Tenkaichi, Battle of Z, Xenoverse, and Xenoverse 2 all retold the story of Z in some fashion(probably even the game right before UT).. FighterZ broke the trend, but then we got Kakarot(which I liked), which Retold Z in much greater detail than any other DBZ game, then Breakers, which thankfully stopped the trend from starting again. I don't mind the story of Z being retold(I haven't watched through it nearly as many times as others), but when it's game after game after game, it gets old.
@boblipsmacker No DBZ game has had an exact retelling. You are either trolling or delusional if you really believe that Xenoverse isn't a retelling of DBZ.
Not gonna lie but despite me liking some and still playing quite a few anime games I've always felt like they've always been pretty bad imho, we've just allowed our bias to get the better of us so we ate up all the crap they put out up. Probably didn't help that we just ate up all the crap they shat out because now it just feels as if they felt it'd be far more beneficial to just drop the quality even further and put far less effort into their products.
See most reviews for most anime games and you will notice a fair amount of them are bad to mediocre. It’s just the ones that struck gold that raised interests and get a good focus.
Anime Games were never particularly good in the first place. 90% of them or more just straight up sucked because developers put no love into them. The remaining ones are the gems which appear "sometimes" like the Naruto Storm Collection, Tenkaichi and so on. The developers are just extremely lazy and money hungry but can't even justify it by bringing a good product to the table. I always despised them (at least the most) because of these reasons. There are only very few of such games I actually like.
Nintendo Switch actually has a lot of exclusive anime games. Recently we got one for the anime “Birdie Wing”. Besides that Switch also has exclusives for Detective Conan, Fist of The North Star, Pui Pui Molcar, The Prince of Tennis, Overlord, Bang Dream, etc
In all fairness db breaker would have been a fun game if they didn’t make it pay 2 win with the raider being extremely overpowered and unfair forcing players to buy into the gotcha system.
Anime games nowadays not more than a cash grab to please the fans They made Turn based gacha game for every seasonal anime That's the truth And 1-2years after release the server was closed Thats the cycle 😅
Dawg literally NOBODY talks about final bout and ultimate ninja 5 (specifically). When people are talking older anime games, they mean Budokai 1 - 3, tenkaichi and even ultimate ninja up to 4. Im sorry you had a bad technical experince with UN 5 but so many PS2 games had that same problem in the pal region including BT3. The point is that older anime games while experimental had a focus on immersing the player with the characters and older games had both a good balance of both engaging gameplay with plenty of unlockable content or free roam campaigns. With no DLC. While the landscape has changed anime games DID become more generic where its an arena brawler with either shit gameplay or no content, a battle royale, or a mobile game with gacha systems that may or may not be localized. Obviously you noticed people have gotten burned out on these genres especially since devs choose not to go any firther with ideas. The current "quality" is mainly in the grqphics and thats it
Lets not bullshit though the sequals to those games were the same shit with more story and characters to play didn't change much of the gameplay or the mechanics.
@@ragingguts not really the jump to tenkaichi 1 - 2 or budokai 2 - 3 was so drastic. So many mechanics changed between those games. And if you're going to argue that you can say the same thing for anime games today
Except there's still plenty of experimental stuff and just stuff that's not that. Like AoT, Made in Abyss, or every single SAO game. Everyone just chooses to ignore those to bitch about the handfull of arena fighters. Complaining about BR's also seems stupid, because it's literally just My Hero doing it.
@s3studios597 people complain about anime BRs and other genres similar to it because they always apply only simple foundation and that's it. Then they make way for more online content afterward that people eventually get bored of and MOST of then now are like that even the arena brawlers.
There’s a lot of examples of the developers not caring as much as they used to. I’m Tenkaichi 3, they had all these fun modes, mini games in loading screens, characters talking in menus, etc. We don’t have that kind of thing anymore, the games are losing personality. They definitely don’t care as much.
Globku I think you should make a "battle royale for anime licenses "video because I think there's so many possiblities: JoJo's, Bleach, Naruto, and even Dragon Ball Z royale would be dope
Yeah mobile has definitely changed everything. I might give the black clove game a chance once it comes out globally. Also hope jjk game is good it’s one of my favorite series. I really we hope we get some kind one piece fighting game/or at least something new soon it’s been a long time. Need that gear 5 luffy playable lol.
developers do care, its the management that make it feel so soulless. passionate ideas get shut down, games get rushed, developers are down right slaves at a desk. that sort of stuff.
My personal gripe is with the new Dragon ball games (that arent fighter Z ) I loved Budokai Tenkaichi 2-3. And when I tried Xenoverse and took a peek at Kakarot, the gameplay felt dumb down and for some reasons something about about it and how it feels ... felt of to me. It's not that I though BT3 was complexe and deep, far from it. It just was the best "DBZ simulator" that felt easy to learn and had a variety of movement options and combo trees that was more fun and made me feel immerse into the universe of DragonBall. I really hope they dont fuck it up in BT4, I dont care if the roster isnt has big or the online sucks balls ( although I do wish it dosent for other peoples) I just want a modern, polished and updated version of the game and the new stuff we had since Super into it. Maybe some new mechanics and all.
It's simply hard make anime games nowadays cause they constantly evolve and it's hard to keep up, even for the gameplay system, how can you translate gameplay mechanics for an anime game? Simply, a action game or turn based game. Ther's no much possibilities to be originals in making these kind of games
black clover game wasnt bad. so many things were against it ppl hated black clover so much cuz the anime and no marketing couldva been a great game if it had support so they could do balance patches
I also think that is a matter of nostalgia and mindset, as kids anything would entertain us and for us, those games would be our childhood, the best games ever and all of that but now that we have grown up and we have seen what devs are capable of doing when they pull out a very good game, we think that what doesnt hold to those memories and to those standards about what is a good game, people incline to say "games are going from bad to worse" but games have been improving, of course there would be some very good and those that need some love (shinobi strikers) but they are good none the less. Also, the interest of people also changes for which devs look to get the players but some players despite playing those games, wish the games where something else they arent and it becomes a loop, because taking risk may cause a game to flop.
Glob, let me tell you something that isnt about this video. So about hinokami chronicles, there may be possibility that the game will still continue uploading new content. After i did some calculations, I found that if we wait for new content it'll possibly come in January. And cool thing is that there may be chance that the game developers will continue the story mode in the current game and add the characters from the new season. I don't think they will create a whole new game, because it will kill the hype of everyone and almost nobody will buy the sequel of the game. But that's my speculation if they do a new game, I'm looking forward for it and patiently waiting.
Clash of the ninja and rise of the ninja/Broken bond were the best Naruto games. We will never have naruto games like them again. They were competitive and fun for all players. Cant compare any arena fighter to those games.
I really don't think anime games have gotten any better or worse over time. As long as you're not going back to the Famicom era, anime games have always been hit or miss. It really just depends on if the devs had any passion for the game they were making. If you want a full picture of how anime games have evolved over time, you need to look at the Japan only stuff. There is only so many games the west got that you can use as examples (that includes the PAL only stuff too).
I just wanna see new ideas. Demon slayer nioh, stylish action kill la kill, dragon ball tekken, fromsoft berserk game, etc. Like I even picture that black myth wukong game but replace the mc with goku and his power pole. It looks so cool in my head lol. Theres more that can be done instead of the same arena fighter.
While I didn't really like or care for Dragon Ball The Breakers, I still love Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Dragon Ball FighterZ, My Hero One's Justice 2, Storm 1-4, Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles, The Neptunia Game Series, The Persona Game Series and Blazblue, plus I'm looking forward to Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, Budokai Tenkaichi 4, Sand Land and Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles 2, so for me at least, no, not really.
Persona doesn't count as an "anime game series" the persona games all started as games, spin-offs of SMT to be matter of fact and only got anime because the games were that popular. They're amazing games but shouldn't be in the convo with DBZ the breakers or SAO, or Black Clover, Naruto, etc.
I agree and disagree with this. Yes the actual quality of the games are getting better but thats simply a matter of technology progressing. Most of it isnt actual innovation in a gaming or coding stand point. Its usually just more of the same with slight tweaks. For instance what we are getting with naruto connections. For them to really wow us with something they had to bring back on old game. Tenkaichi. Its gotten more hype than kost anime games in the last 5 or 10 years and it isnt even out yet. If they took the time to make something llayer truly want instead of just putting something out to make some while they work on other projects just to make them money isnt going to produce something of true quality. They used to give us things we want. Now a days we have to pray that whatever we want gets released as dlc or a mod in most cases. Thats why i feel games have gotten worse. Not even just anime games games in general.
i really wanna see a baki game like a baki 2.5d game like jojo asbr where its a 2d game bur u can side step so it feels like ur fighting realisticly plus with pickle being new it would be a good idea but because its not as popular as something like naruto or dragon ball or jujutsu or demon slayer it’s unlikely to see
It's a difficult question but I think yes, unfortunately they don't have the passion, talent and risk they had back then. The 90s and 2000s had great anime games, just to mention a few: DBZ Budokai and Tenkaichi game series Narutimate Accel series Garouden Fist or Twist JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Cowboy Bebop Saint Seya Hajime no Ippo
Great video and I agree with pretty much everything. Truth be told right, and as much as I dislike the storm series and stuff...Anime games have gotten WAY better in my opinion. Whether it be graphics or gameplay, of course theres gonna be duds but you get my point. What hasn't gotten better however, is the functionality of these games. By that I mean; lobbies, adding people through the game on whatever platform you play on, and most importantly THE ONLINE. Its extremely difficult to play these games with the online is just horrendous or match making/teaming up with friends is a hassle. Perfect example Shinobi strikers, its a pain in the ass to get your team to fight another friend group because the game just doesnt allow it. Its hard to move forward when we're still plagued with issues you'd think would have been resolved in the year 2023.
i hope Tenkaichi4 is back to the roots and a great singleplayer game, bcs i dont like to play online, im not that good i just want to have funb playing the story and diffrent modes with friends, but its 2023 there will be seasonpass, battlepass etc
I 100% believe anime games have gotten better, but like you said... were were all idiots. I think my frustration comes from PS3 era games have basic features alot of "modern" anime games do not, which blows me though. some games lack lobbies, heck remember jump force no rematch. but overall I'll take a DBZ Kakarot than most DBZ games pre PS2 FREE
Naruto ultimate ninja 4 and 5 where everything i want from Naruto. Not to forget impact. I wish an open world Naruto hack and slash with some rpg element . I'm not into fighting games sorry ,but those games were my childhood
I only disagree on the point that games are getting more expensive to develop they are not they are actually getting easier and cheaper to develop if you dont believe me look at the quality of indie games now vs 10 years ago your average indie team is still going to struggle by nature of being indie but theyre going to have a much easier time than they would have years ago and when you extrapolate this to the bigger companies you cannot convince me with those resources and tools that they arent going to have an even easier time developing
They’re less diverse but not worse because less developers are on games. We’ve gotten lots of unique anime games recently that people don’t cover because of the IP. For example we recently got games for Dragon Maid, Crayon Shin Chan, Doraemon,Alice Gear, etc and nobody played them During 6th gen every developer was hoping to any IP they could get their hands on so we had lots of games from old and new anime plus that people like Capcom or Square Enid in the mix because Japan loves their anime compared to everyone else. Since anime has gotten more popular around the world, companies have been catering more to certain demographics and in the process a variety of games and different IP will be limited when most of the profitable and popular ones that WILL sell are already taken
The old stuff that were cash grabs were only cash grabs because the series was that popular at whatever given moment. That is why playing an ad before something gets announced and then the game gets announced everyones immediately buying... if you like the donut and they tell you we just came out with said donut, you are splurging
I remember when i buy xbox 360 to play storm 2 because it was so diferent, 3d fight game, new generation, and now i have a ps4 and have to buy a ps5 to play thr exactly same game that have on ps4 but with buttons change, evolution doesnt feels right for me
This is somewhat valid, but on the other side of DBFighterZ looking amazing, the story mode is pretty boring and repetitive and you can compare that to some of the old ones like Supersonic Warriors that had a different what if story for every playable character where the character you selected becomes the protagonist and you get things like Goku dying against Cell and then teaching Krilling the spirit bomb and kaioken. I love FighterZ but you don't get stuff like that from FighterZ. There's less variety, less risk taking, fewer what-ifs and more of a focus on a centralizing repayable mode rather than interest in high quality single player content. I also still go back to play Ultimate Ninja 2 & 3 and those games hold up really well, especially 3. 2 I just love cause I can teach Rock Lee the Chidori in it and unlock Byakugan Hinata who is a confident version of Hinata that mixes in some of OG Naruto's street fighting style into her gentle fist, so she'll palm a guy and then throw a right hook, which I love
For Dragon Ball, the best game is Tenkaichi 3. Which came out for PS2. For Naruto Ultimate Ninja 5 for PS2 was the best or second best Naruto game. For the Naruto Storm games, Storm 2 was the last one to have a proper story mode and get a satisfying ending. Storm 3 ended in the middle of an arc. Storm 4 didn't even have a story mode. Aside from these, there's not many good anime games. Jojo's best was for PS1. I don't see much improvement concerning modern entries. Naruto Storm connection doesn't have a story mode it seems and only 10 new characters. Dragon Ball Tenkaichi 4 might become great but we've yet to see more.
@Globku Hey we all are Fans of Anime Right we shouldn't be attacking one another on whatever it is that we like to whatever or whoever it is we dislike Just thought I get my thoughts out on this
No one's attacking anyone. Globku was just addressing an opinion on anime games being "worse" now than what we remember. He provided solid evidence to the contrary and that's it. Calm down
Call me nuts, but I would recommend that Globku play the roblox anime games such as Dragon Soul, Project Slayers, and Grand Piece Online (he might need to ask a viewer for a good fruit like Mera, Pika, Goro, or Magu for farming and buy a private server to play witn viewers and friends)
I just wish they were more ambitious, I'd rather have 1 insane game like your dream Naruto game concept or like a One Piece open world game, than 3 kinda whatever safe games every 3 years or so
Anime games are going to experiment. it would just be copies after copies while we still be waiting for the dragon ball super to come back and that would spoil the moment. I'm just glad Naruto and dragon ball games came out to help out the genre
Personally, it became bad as it becomes more online multiplayer centric as there is more money generated from them. I like to play this anime games for its lengthy story, not just for its main characters but also for its side characters or even antagonist.

I honestly thought Tenkaichi was a step down from Budokai, and since then I haven't cared. I knew the flight was a gimmick, and ever since then DBZ fighters were not competing with proper fighters like Tekken or MK, and thus not worth any effort. Gimmicky kids games versus technical and competitive platform fighters.
> Ultimate Ninja worse than Storm Alright, nevermind. Clicked off. Anyway, no, it's not that anime games are getting worse, it's that they're getting *lazier*. They're also the same.
@@EPunkOfficial The last Laundry Detergent game was a hack n' slash, so no, not really.
It’s not about anime games only. The game industry has gotten way worse, anime games just followed the trend.
There are more bad random dbz games from the early 2000s than anime games period since whatever you consider to be "modern"
Maybe if gamers stopped being suckers and throw money around at these companies
Anime Games have gotten far worse over the years compared to other genres.
@@braindead1433it's true have to blame some on the consumer aswell
@@intotheverse3363facts that’s what made Budokai Tenkaichi 3 so damn amazing back in the day.
No proper long term support, very limited communication with the devs and no actual marketing.
the biggest problem with breakers is the fact that its a F2P game thats not F2P
Nah it's bad. Don't try to excuse it.
An Bluelock game would be incredible as well
@@GrandeBigdor A Blue Lock game would literally be Anime Mario Strikers
9:45 "And J-Stars to Jump Force" 😂😂😂
That was funnier than it had any right to be 😂
The point about the games not feeling fresh sums up the issue with Xenoverse 1 and 2 perfectly. This guy I know insists that 2 is worse than 1, when in reality it was an improvement in nearly every aspect. The thing is, it didn't play differently enough from the 1st one, so it often felt like you were just playing the same game again.
IDK if you go from XV2 to XV1 you can feel the difference, but I get what you mean.
Pure simple facts. Nostalgia Glasses are strong.
Facts
Amazing video, really loved this one. It's really the sad the shift to mobile games, hate the feeling of needing luck to play with my favorite characters or spend tons of money.
Yeah I felt this video was needed. Especially since a bunch of videos popping up recently claiming there are no good anime games anymore.
@@Sir_Slimbread if it aint an exact retelling i dont count it.
I swear Sand Land is the most ignored anime game lmaoo. Bandai Namco should have gave that treatment to a well-known series.
In all fairness db breaker would have been a fun game if they didn’t make it pay 2 win with the raider being extremely overpowered and unfair forcing players to buy into the gotcha system.
My dream game is one that uses Globku's JJK idea
Anime games nowadays not more than a cash grab to please the fans
They made Turn based gacha game for every seasonal anime
That's the truth
And 1-2years after release the server was closed
Thats the cycle 😅
Back in the day you bought a game and got the full game no bullshit dlc
Globku I think you should make a "battle royale for anime licenses "video because I think there's so many possiblities: JoJo's, Bleach, Naruto, and even Dragon Ball Z royale would be dope
There is a battle royale Jojo game, though
4:55 JoJo BR is in the video
Yeah mobile has definitely changed everything. I might give the black clove game a chance once it comes out globally. Also hope jjk game is good it’s one of my favorite series. I really we hope we get some kind one piece fighting game/or at least something new soon it’s been a long time. Need that gear 5 luffy playable lol.
Video Mostly: Naruto & Dragon Ball👍
UA-cam: Ah yes... Jump Force!👌
developers do care, its the management that make it feel so soulless. passionate ideas get shut down, games get rushed, developers are down right slaves at a desk. that sort of stuff.
i really loved the Black Clover Game, its just that i am more of a SoloGamer when its about Anime Games
That's because animes this days the graphics development had been outsources to China and Korea.
black clover game wasnt bad. so many things were against it ppl hated black clover so much cuz the anime and no marketing couldva been a great game if it had support so they could do balance patches

@@princevegeta1010Yeah, that too, I forgot about it, LOL.

The 90s and 2000s had great anime games, just to mention a few:
DBZ Budokai and Tenkaichi game series
Narutimate Accel series
Garouden Fist or Twist
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Cowboy Bebop
Saint Seya
Hajime no Ippo
naruto rise of a ninja was my childhood game and since it came up I've never seen a game like that in the naruto games

Yo big idea you should try to bring the black clover game into your circle if games with small to no scenes
I miss the risk they used to take for games for sure
I can't wait to see another big anime fighting game
I only disagree on the point that games are getting more expensive to develop they are not they are actually getting easier and cheaper to develop if you dont believe me look at the quality of indie games now vs 10 years ago your average indie team is still going to struggle by nature of being indie but theyre going to have a much easier time than they would have years ago and when you extrapolate this to the bigger companies you cannot convince me with those resources and tools that they arent going to have an even easier time developing
I recently played pirate warriors 4 and loving it, and now i just want shonen jump muso game
They’re less diverse but not worse because less developers are on games.
We’ve gotten lots of unique anime games recently that people don’t cover because of the IP. For example we recently got games for Dragon Maid, Crayon Shin Chan, Doraemon,Alice Gear, etc and nobody played them
During 6th gen every developer was hoping to any IP they could get their hands on so we had lots of games from old and new anime plus that people like Capcom or Square Enid in the mix because Japan loves their anime compared to everyone else.
I remember when i buy xbox 360 to play storm 2 because it was so diferent, 3d fight game, new generation, and now i have a ps4 and have to buy a ps5 to play thr exactly same game that have on ps4 but with buttons change, evolution doesnt feels right for me
I wouldn't say worse per say just the market is oversaturated in general and companies can just churn out half baked games with ease and still profit
The 'big' anime games are better now, but there is still a lot of modern shockers... Breakers, One Punch Man, Seven Deadly Sins, Jump Force.
i play that black clover anime game with 45 other people... yep that is the player base
The hill I choose to die on is labeled "Ultimate Ninja 3-5 is still better gameplay-wise than any game in the Storm series."
That live action segment made me shed a tear dude XD
My hero ultra rumble seems good, but I hope we will get a Kakarot or Ninja storm 4 like My Hero Academia game.
The "handheld" dying is a disaster for the videogame medium
Going back to play Budokai 3 made me realize that it it doesn’t feel nearly as good as the newer games like fighterz or kakarot 😂
@Globku Hey we all are Fans of Anime Right we shouldn't be attacking one another on whatever it is that we like to whatever or whoever it is we dislike
Just thought I get my thoughts out on this
No one's attacking anyone. Globku was just addressing an opinion on anime games being "worse" now than what we remember. He provided solid evidence to the contrary and that's it. Calm down
I think the issue is games that could be good are ending up being big let downs.
Just imagine if jump force played like the clash of the ninja series or FighterZ
1:05 YOU HAVE LEGS?!
Personally, it became bad as it becomes more online multiplayer centric as there is more money generated from them. I like to play this anime games for its lengthy story, not just for its main characters but also for its side characters or even antagonist.

@@pandupsko7127 that's not dead are you stupid? A dead game is a player base that's in the signal number or it is reduced to a discord game.
Can you boot up Breakers and play a Match? Yes? Then it's not dead. Go outside and learn what a dead game actually means
Plus those are PC numbers it's a Bigger player base on systems. That's always a consistent thing no matter the game. Like think
I think the long term services hurt the anime industry overall. Bad games get supported for way to long instead of creating a sequel which fixes core problems and add more depth into it
I feel we deserve another Tokyo ghoul game or atleast a remake of Tokyo ghoul:re call to exist or a fire force game
The world is getting worse in general. Law of entropy affects all
> Ultimate Ninja worse than Storm
Alright, nevermind. Clicked off.
Anyway, no, it's not that anime games are getting worse, it's that they're getting *lazier*. They're also the same. People are tired of yearly anime arena fighter #42.
I would love a Demon Slayer game in the style of the .Hack or just a straight up hack & slash game like DMC. But we're never going to get that because no one is allowed to step out of that safety zone.
I just want remakes of ps2 fullmetal alchemist action rpg games.....
I love them I don't care what people say
