I'm a painter and decorator but I started of doing that and now I'm a jack of all trades master of none 😆 I bet you've heard that before, this is probably the best wallpapering video I've seen so far, but you could of explained how to deal with a switch alot better to novices, it was OK for apprentices and you should mention to your viewers about paper shrinking because sometimes wetting paper makes it expand and when the paper has time to dry out there might be a little gap between each wallpaper hang so sometimes overlapping is necessary. Sorry to be a ass but watching my dad do decorating for so many years I've picked up alot ❤ 😍 💖

Hmmm, cutting around the light switch was done tight to the edge of the switch, in the next clip, the switch is loosened and there's suddenly a neat 10mm overhang of paper to tuck behind the switch.

I can't seem to find a video about this question: Can you hang wallpaper on the same wall as a baseboard heater? We have all kids of old paper in our house on walls with baseboard heaters. We like the wallpaper look and want to hang new paper, but I'm reading that you shouldn't hang on a wall with an electric baseboard. The walls in questions have small 36" heaters. Thoughts?

Looks great but how did you handle the corner that didn't match? You pulled it back, matched the edge. It looked like it buckled into corner.

Hi Tracy, Nicky explained the trick was to leave the wallpaper lose as she went around the corner, not smoothing it down until the next sheet has been hung and she has checked it aligns. When she saw it didn't align Nicky could pull it back and re-place it one the wall perfectly, so the trick is just to not smooth it until you have hung the next sheet when you are going around a corner.

    No, no, and thrice no....
1.The batch number has absolutely nothing to do with the matching/repeat of the pattern
    2. You should paste from the centre outwards and not run the brush along the length of the paper
    3. Dont fold the paper in half, the first fold should be the biggest leaving a small piece to unfold at the bottom
    4. Never cut freehand, thats what a straight edge is for
    5. Never take the paper around a corner, (a massive no no when hanging paper) always cut both pieces into the corner, plumbing the remaining strip
    6. Dont run the blade over a switch or socket, it will scratch it
    7. Dont hang the first piece from a door frame, the architrave may not be plumb

Batch number has everything to do with the matching/repeat of the pattern. If a block, screen or roller is swapped out during a production print run there is no guarantee that the replacement will reproduce the pattern exactly in placement or size so a new batch number would be assigned.

@@Da-PapererWhether it is a block, screen or roller print the pattern will not change in any dimension barring a defective printing process. Lot numbers are to ensure that your wallpaper was printed all in the same batch so the COLOR is consistent from roll to roll. Regards.

@@williams.porter6182 No two print drums-blocks or screens are exactly the same, so as I said, if one is swapped for another mid print run a new lot number is assigned as " there is no guarantee that the replacement will reproduce the pattern exactly in placement or size" which would result in what you claim, "a defective printing process" as rolls from both lots won't line up as well as rolls from either lot on its own.
