Today we smash some Hermits our upgraded Mace, create a bunch of new Hermit Horns, and create an incredibly easy and compact XP farm based on the new Minecraft 1.21 Potion of Infestation. Enjoy!

Cub, if you want an unsolicited prank idea - replace the skizz head on the note block behind Tango's nether portal with a head that has that Tango scream on it.

Honestly, I was hoping the horn would include the splat noise.
Now that you're labeling the new horns, you should offer a service in your shop for hermits to leave a box of their older, unlabeled horns, and pay you to let you do the administrative work of re-labeling them!

the armadillo-silverfish xp farm is the wildest thing ive ever seen
If you speak to pearl she'll hook you up with some shulker boxes to send the horn of the month in so you don't have to use your own.

If you are wondering, it can be done with in inline item modifier.
For example, the command
/item modify @s weapon.mainhand {type:”minecraft:set_components”, components:{“minecraft:max_stack_size”:5}}
modifies any item that you are holding, and makes it able to stack to at most 5.
Or if you wanted to add lore to an item you are holding, you would use the command:
/item modify @s weapon.mainhand {type:”minecraft:set_components”, components:{“minecraft:lore”:[“this is lore”]}}
which adds the lore “this is lore” to the selected item.
the horn of the month is truly brilliant. horn usage has fallen off on the server, but sending everyone a free is is like a reminder that the horns eexist, and you can still have fun with them and buy news ones! i realise this is basically the entire principal of free samples but i've never seen it used so effectively on a minecraft server like this
That XP farm is wild. I laughed so hard when you killed Etho. I love the new Hermit Horns. Always a fan favorite. So glad you revisited the firework shop and I can't wait to see you work on the Explosive Fight Club Build with your beautiful fireworks I just know its going to be epic. How do you keep just putting out banger after banger with your episodes? I just know when that notification drops Imma be smiling.

I'm glad there is a way to get a bunch of xp fast to heal tools and armor or enchant. There are a lot of people who don't have all the time in the world like the hermits do to play so I'm able to mend tools quick and get back to building. I'm getting tired of Minecraft patching things making it take longer and longer to collect items, it really pushes me away from the game. Sometimes i feel like Mojang/Microsoft don't appreciate my time.

Mace kills are the most fun! You can get some pretty epic kills by cutting your elytra off midair as well!

Could you put vines in the cage with the silverfish, so they don't suffer from entity cramming? Then you could let them build up as long as you want and get to 30 in one swing

Never in the history of music has there ever been a better use of "In the Hall of the Mountain King". Sheer briliance.
I had an idea for a mini game, though I don't know whether it's possible or not what if you made a field of observers looking up with string on their faces except for some blocks on which sit armor stands and the game is to starting from a cliff jump down with the mace hit an armor stand fly up in the air and chain your way across the field without touching any of the string
With sending out identical boxes to a bunch of people, you should upgrade your mailbox with a "bulk mail" function where you load in a bunch of stamps and boxes into dispensers and pulse them enough times to clear them.
Gosh, I love Hall of the Mountain King. Especially when it's used for hijinks and shenanigans like these!
It is sad to see the horns falling out of favor, hopefully the new horn-of-the-month, lowered prices, and labeling system can help bring them back!
I think you could put vines in the silverfish collection areas to prevent entity cramming, I'm pretty sure there's another Hermit (maybe Tango?) doing that in another farm to avoid entity cramming
He tried vines in the cobweb farm but was having trouble with silverfish climbing them. I forget the exact details.
Cubbie excellent use of In The Hall Of The Mountain King. Definitely consider inserting more classical, copyright-free music. I love it. Maybe a prank involving some Ride of the Valkyries.
A temporary sale is usually far more effective than a permanent sale. It triggers the greed + fear combo.

I watched two extremely different videos that both had Hall of the Mountain King in the middle in very close succession. Guess it’s making its way into the background of my life again. Good use!
19:44 There may be a ton of xp trapped in the rightmost block. You can see a stationary ball trapped there. Perhaps remove the bottom trapdoor?

You can have an additional shop just for Zedath horns
So, basically there's the Tango Suffocating Allay Exp machine 9000 and there's Cub's Withering Armadillo Exp. Both of which is using passive-loving-plant animal creature.
Hey Cub, I wonder if you can stack the silverfish by using a lingering infested potion on the silverfish that come from the Armadillos or Allays, exponentially increasing the amount of silverfish and therefore XP
silverfish are unfortunately immune to the infested effect

Hey Cub, you could add Wels saying "Oh I see where this is going" from his first episode of Season 10.
Could you add twisting vines to prevent the silverfish from entity cramming? Then you could just let it fill up and take them all out in one go.

If you place one ladder in the inside of the trapdoors on both sides you can sort the cramming issue. But nice design. For solo players, with an auto brewer and some stone you have a nice XP station in base.
This is my favourite hermit horn of the month so far 😅
It's a very fragile xp farm though. If you click too quickly on the armor stand, you'll lose it and then you're stuck with a giant mess. The farm has proven to be more trouble than it's worth for me.

Lol of all the Horn of the Month recipients Etho being the only one to send shulkers back is hilarious... he is the only one with a baller deal with Beef for ALL the boxes so its no wonder hes the one who doesnt need another box while everyone else is hurting because of Beefs escalating prices... xD
The Silverfish XP farm is - in my opinion - a long time coming. Enchanting has always been way too much of a pain, constantly having to waste levels just to refresh the rolls, then combining books onto tools and armor, and the Enderman farms are too 'Endgame' to be considered accessible for a casual player. In addition, despite how easy the farm is to build, there's still a bit of a grind involved in getting a Wither to kill a mob for you to collect the rose in the first place, so the farm feels like a really solid extra reward for putting in that effort.
You can actually use a campfire to damage the armadillos, making this farm very earlygame-friendly.

Whatever Cub did to the armadillos in this farm is way more unethical than just having Mojang force us to kill armadillos for scutes, as opposed to collecting them like eggs, or brushing them off.
(Not to mention the previous treating them like basketballs.)
FYI there's free mail only shulkers available at the post office. No need to demand a return for horn of the month.

Try it with a magma block instead of a dirt block. Remove the wither rose, honey block, and pigman.

Cub, I am having challenges hearing you past the silverfish and game sounds. Not sure if it is the same for others. But perhaps a thought for editing or replay to lower game sounds. 💜
I thought that potion only dropped in trial chambers. It is overpowered if it's craftable imo.
