You can feel the pain in Rocket's voice. The pain of losing another friend.... After GOTG3 this scene just becomes even more sad knowing what he has been through.
I love how adult Groot Jr. in part 3 looks entirely different from his father. He became his own character, and it made Groot Sr.'s sacrifice here even more impactful.
And by the end of the third film, thanks to Adam warlock, groot became much bigger than the original groot. I love the big groot! And when are we getting a funko pop figurine of giant groot?
@@Nick-cy2tn because groots power comes from the nearby energy and groot being around Adam warlock who emits powerful energy all time lets groot grow so big
Can't believe how quickly I loved Groot in one film then to be sad when he sacrificed himself. Then get really really happy to see that little twig spout arms n watch him grow up. Its been an amazing journey
The saddest thing is groots sacrifice was permanent, baby groot wasn’t him revived it was just his offspring making the first groot completely different.
After watching Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 this scene hits so much harder than it already did. Rocket lost all his friends in his early life, and because of this he shut everyone else out… Everyone that is except for Groot. When Rocket first met Groot in prison he was still scarred from his past and kept to himself, but eventually he warmed up to Groot and he became Rocket’s best friend and only companion for many years. Although he treated him harshly at times you could still tell Rocket cared deeply for Groot. Rocket felt that everyone saw him as a monster and not to trust anyone, but Groot helped him out of that dark place, and when Groot sacrificed himself to save Rocket and his new friends Rocket had to once again watch his best friend, his ONLY friend, die.
Kang the Conqueror is a monster, view his own creations as disposable wastes of oxygen. That paired with the fact that Rocket was the not only the only one to escape but also the only one to escape with his life makes us hate Kang more and feel bad for someone (Rocket) when at first we thought he was just a lovable jerk. Of course we now know why Rocket acted like a jerk but I’m blaming Kang for all the pain inflicted on Rocket before he met Groot.
I miss this Groot. Had a more natural feeling than the one we have or had right now. But dang it took him a while to grow back to his normal form. 9 years
Notice how Groot is protecting everyone, including unconscious drax, making sure he's extra secure since he's unconscious, it's little things like that, which make this scene great
One thing that would've been cool to see during the last Rocket flashback sequence when he escapes the red cube, would be a short shot of the rest of his life till he goes into coma, including how he met Groot
Knowing now that this Groot is actually gone, I actually loved this one way more than the new one, and I always hoped he’d grow back looking like this, but now I know he never actually was growing back )’=
It’s honestly fucking crazy how Marvel was stripped of the movie rights of its most popular characters in the 90s after almost going bankrupt, was left with the rights to the B team superheroes, and turned them into the most successful superhero movie franchise in history. Kevin Feige is a genius.

Since the new Groot who sprouted from the twig that Rocket retrieved is actually his son, does that mean that the other twigs scattered through the impact ground could all become Baby Groots if planted?
Ok here me out, I think Groot Sr (adult groot) actually said “we are groot” before he died. My explanation is because Gamora was able to understand (which means she made a connection to) Jr only after a little while, we made a decent connection to Sr before his death and Jr took a while for us I guess (that and they heard him say “we are groot”).

The first one, no question for me
Groot is CGI. None of his versions are live action.

My ranking of superhero trilogies
1. Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy

Yeah the first groot was a BEAST
That hurts. Especially knowing groot called rocket "dad" when he faded in infinity war 😢
