      Why does the ufc keep gifting khazmat 3 round fights? After taking down usman in round one, you could tell how gassed he was in the second round, usman did better in the stand up and I would say won round two because the takedown by the end of round two wasn’t enough, in round three he basically just had control time with a takedown that he didn’t do anything and you could tell he never wanted to have the standup with usman. People kept saying he would destroy usman and he didn’t do nothing to impress, didn’t he have a full training camp? He fought against a former champion in a lower weight class who never had a full training camp and on eleven days notice!…he is overrated

If you watch the Volkanowski post fight conference interview one will learn that these guys have their mental struggles just like the average man. Usman even said it; that he needs to start back believing in himself as well as believing in his coaches again. Kamaru, you're one of the GOAT's. 36 years of age after endless wars, going against the young scary uppercomer in 10 days notice, and nearly got it. Super competitive. As other fighters said - 5 rounds, you get it done, full camp - you get it done. You still one of the best in the business keep your head high my man !

    • @MR-AK
      @MR-AK 6 місяців тому

      You should watch the fight again. Khamza broke his dominant right hand. Kumaru is not doubt a good fighter, but not a GOAT! He got outclased on the ground and taken down several times. If Khamza didn't have a broken hand, the 2nd, 3rd rounds would be drastically different. If you ever had a broken hand, which I did, it numbs your entire arm up to the shoulder. Its pretty useless.

    • @dvm9795
      @dvm9795 6 місяців тому +15

      @@MR-AK I agree with a lot of what you said. Usman is terrible on his back. He’s a black belt but honestly looks like a white belt off of his back. He can’t create any sort of movement to get off the mat. It happened when Edwards took him down and it happened yesterday with Khamzat. And yes, while the broken wrist surely played a role in Khamzat’s reluctance to strike, I seriously doubt the striking exchange would be any different if his wrist was in good condition. Although he didn’t unload like he should’ve, Usman’s strikes were hurting Khamzat. He is not as good a striker as Usman by any means. But to not call Usman one of the GOATs is just plain disrespectful. He is on the second best WW run of all time, second only to GSP. Usman has wrecked through the division decisively and showed that he is still very much a threat to high level fighters. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest to ever do it.

    • @mystermont2019
      @mystermont2019 6 місяців тому

      @@dvm9795 Matt Hughes had the 2nd best run and actually regain the title beating GSP. Both Matt and GSP were able to beat opponents bigger than themselves. Usman only defended against undersized WWs who fought most of their careers at lightweight except Colby who is still smaller than Usman but gave him competitive fights. Finally someone as big as he is Leon who still has a smaller torso smaller chest than Usman and Usman can't win. GSP and Matt Hughes are still better than Usman. Both Usman and Hughes have 5 title defenses but Hughes fought 5 different opponents. Usman's defenses were against 3 opponents and he didn't regain the title like Hughes did. Usman is 3rd best WW in UFC.

    Kamaru you're one of the best I've seen. Hearing the story of the way you trained as a teenager and the resiliency you showed after you're father's incarceration is a champion's mindset. i agree, he didn't make an adjustement for three rounds, because he fought five for years. That's why he keeps saying "you don't start slow like that in a three-round fight". He starts slow to spread out the energy for five rounds. Miscalculation. As for Chimaev his performance wasn't impressive at all tbh, I think Du plessis should get the title shot.

    Kamaru summed it up perfectly at the start of the interview. He's so used to 5 round championship fights that he started slowly and measuredly, probably forgetting that it is only 3 rounds until it was too late. Didn't get aggressive until the 3rd round. Surviving that 1st round was amazing, but Kamari has to do better with his take down defense by not getting taken down at all. He also needs to fight smart like Khamzat by not just faking take downs, but actually going for it, especially in 3 round fights, because wrestling is his main weapon. Sure he is very capable on his feet, but Khamzat showed him that putting your opponent on the ground can weaken them as well as their confidence. I wish that was a 5 round fight.

They were never going to make Cumshot lose a close fight just like the Burns fight to keep the hype train going! This clown 🤡 actually thinks that laying on someone's back without doing any damage at all is "dominating" worthy of a 10-8 round! 10-8 rounds are supposed to be where a fighter gets destroyed by taking serious damage where the fight is close to being stopped because of the amount of damage inflicted.
