There is a very specific age range, people born in the 70s or 80s in particular that cherish the original Epcot attractions. Yes, it was slow. Yes, it was educational. Yes, it was boring for anyone looking for thrill rides but it had a fully immersive vibe and an artistry that will never be matched.
Horizons and the original Journey Into Imagination were perfect and you can't tell me otherwise. I grew up going to Epcot in the 90s and absolutely loved the original attractions. I would take any of them over what we have now (but leave Soarin', I love her in all her forms). Kids today just want high-speed, thrill rides and it's such a shame. Epcot in her prime was full of the best sounds, smells, and overall feelings. I clung to The Electric Umbrella for the longest time since that was the last true place you could feel any spark of the original Epcot. Now I am grateful for all the memories my parents allowed me to have growing up.
They get so much produce from this garden that goes to all of WDW, shutting down this ride would require them to shut parts of the garden down as well and I just can’t imagine that’s worth it.
Ever wonder about the people in the final scene of Living with the Land, like the 'tomato girl' and 'blueberry kid'? Turns out those might be stock photos from the 90s, meaning they'd likely be in their mid to late 30s or early 40s now. This ride is one of my favorites at Epcot, and it's fascinating that these individuals have been part of it for so long, probably without even knowing. If anyone has updates, it would be incredible to hear. For Epcot's 42nd anniversary in 2024 or its 45th in 2027, it would be amazing if they could invite whoever's still around for a reunion. I bet fans would love to meet them.

I was a cast member on this ride back in the 90s. I would do about 20 trips per shift on a busy day. This music always meant that it was just about time to stand up and give the spiel. Hearing this music again makes me smile and remember.
In the late 80s I worked as a ride operator in Tomorrow Land at Disney World. This is the ride I wanted to work. It had the longest "spiel" of any ride in the entire resort. Longer than the Jungle Cruise or the Mike Fink Keel boats. Plus, it wasnt just silly jokes and nonsense. It was an educational presentation that I thought would way more fun to perform. I never got to work there but I did eventually become a teacher.

OMG LOVE this!!!!! So relaxing! Those pan flutes at the end- great touch! The only thing that would've made it better would have been to add the rainforest sounds and the rain from the beginning of the ride. This soundtrack and the scent of reclaimed water strangely always calm and comfort me.
Listening to this in snowy Michigan, daydreaming about being back at WDW, riding my favorite ride, and then heading off the the World Showcase for some delicious food. Thank you for the mental vacation.
Also I know I’m not the only one who can listen to this music and hear “rice, along with wheat, sorghum, and millet…” even though the narration isn’t actually there 🤣
This ride is the best vibe in WDW. Nostalgia notwithstanding of course. I was a presenter at Innoventions East for a while and rode this thing every damn day.
So relaxing! When my son was a tiny colicky baby one of the only things that could put him to sleep was driving around playing a ride through of Living With The Land!!
I have been looking for this FOREVER!! By far my favorite part of the ride is the instrumental with the guitar. It put me in such a happy place. I’m instantly transported back to the boat and loving my life. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
A. I got stuck on this attraction for a looong time once in the dark corridor just before you disembark. This clip is giving me flashbacks. But really pleasant ones. The music and the ride are so chill I really didn't ever want to get off the boat.... :-) B. Feasting at Garden Grill (rotates above the dark scenes of LWTL) or taking the "Behind the Seeds" tour will make ya love this attraction even more. THANKS for posting!
You are my hero!!! For ***years*** I’ve looked for and wanted this song without ride audio! This is and will always be my favourite ride for over thirty years!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!
The Land Pavilion has always been one of my favorite areas in Epcot to relax and take a break from walking around. And Living with the Land is a very nice ride. (my favorite part is the greenhouse). To me, The Land feels very peaceful and serene.
Thanks for posting this. It brings me to such a great place. This ride brings me such peace. Just feel like nothing bad can happen to me on Living with the Land, just floatin’ along a river quietly learning and observing. To anyone who understands, I hope you get to go back as soon as possible ❤
The last time I was on this ride, none of the music or sound effects were playing. The narration was very lonely. I'm glad I could still listen to this playlist!

Love this video. My wife and I listen to this every Friday night as our background dinner music. We love this ride and this is almost like being there. A question for CPA; didn't you have videos for Caribbean beach and Port Orleans Riverside and French quarter? I can't seem to find those anymore. Those were really good too.

You can hear offhand Disneyland in the distance praising how good this ride is. And talking about the people mover. Wanting to bring that back. And promoting something something Magic Candle company something. And talking about jean leffeat as well.

yeah. It just has this feel that can't be matched.
It might be boring to some, but to me... It's incredibly calming and fun.
Og Epcot has a magic that both utilized aesthetics and nature to illuminate parts of the human mind that respond positively.
Just look at the calm water and the bright greens with all the sunlight shining through a cool futuristic glass dome... It's paradise
Listening to this during my lunch break really helps me relax.
This music is also used for the Wilderness lodge room tv loop. Been looking for this. It’s awesome!!
