Ok if you look at the front of the block you see that one side long and the other part short. The long side 16 inches and the short side is 8 inches. Like you looking at a piece of flat paper. To get square inches you multiply the long side (16) by the short side (8) and you get 128 square inches. Ok so then suppose you measure the side of the house and it comes up to 160 inches and you measure the hight of the wall and it come up to 72 inches all you do is multiply the 160 by the72 and you get the square inches of that wall. So in this case it would be 11,520 square inches. Ok so you done know seh one block is 128 square inches so to find out how many blocks in that you divide the 11,520 by 128 and that gives you 90 so you need 90 blocks to make that wall. And you do that for any wall. Just length multiply by height. I don't use square feet because then you going to get into fraction and decimals and all that and mi really Caan badda wid dat at all lol
