Both sheds are AWESOME! Getting ready for my first winter up here, I feel so far behind. The good news is I watch your videos and listen to your suggestion so I know I am learning from the best.
Hi Tony. Hope all is well. What a nice generator shed. Everything is so nice and neat. I love when things look neat. Also enjoy clean work. Great job. I don’t know much about generator sheds but I definitely appreciate good workmanship when I see it. 😊. Catch you in the next one!
Looking good my friend :) Happy gens this winter ! Shed will be so nice it's just keeping everything in one place , I had built a plywood box on wheels so i could roll it in the shop when not in use, The box with 3-4 inches of room all around & the lid for the box i never put on until -20c but this winter we broke records at -51c my little champion just keep purring :)) Awesome set up you guy's have built ! I started but on the injured list for a bit :(
Thank you. Great sheds. A lot of good ideas implemented. Should be a much better winter with the solar upgrade and the sheds to protect the generators fluids storage etc. be able to do more fun stuff instead of fighting mechanical and power issues. Thanks again for the update.
Those vac pumps work great. I had three of them back south when I have my marine service company. I built an electric one as well but that is over kill for gens that only hold a small amount of oil.
You guys are geniuses! You never cease to amaze me! I know those sheds are really going to reduce your stress level this winter. As you said in one of your other videos (I think it was the inside shower), you'll be "rolling like a king!" I noticed a lot more improvements to your grounds too! Looking really good! You've been busy and working hard this summer. Don't forget to enjoy the last frontier too!
Very informative video. Excellent explanation. That is an awesome/efficient building construct. Did you consider covering the platform the generators are resting on with tile and the floor with vinyl flooring to preclude oil or fuel saturation of those areas and to enable easy clean up?
Very impressive generator sheds. Well thought out and organized. Very evident that attention to detail was a top priority. I was wondering what weight oil you use. Will it be different now you will be in a more controlled temperature range? Also curious how you adapted to the exhaust hoses that run to the outside.
We run 5W/20 in the winter. It makes the easier to crank. We had to weld I nipple on most of them to connect to. Some of them you an purchase an adapter
Impressive looking generator sheds. I like the idea of a raised platform that the generators sit on. What height did you build these raised platforms ? Would you change the height after having used it like this for awhile ?
@@bimo5461 thank you for watching. The benches are 14” high. They seem to work pretty good for us. We are all 6’ tall so your height might need to be different depending on your height. It does help on bending over them all the time.
Would you consider sharing exhaust information for both 3000 and 2000 Hondas? I have one of each. Sure like the quick connect version. Where were the parts purchased ? Would you have part numbers. Sure wish I could see how you did this. Would you consider doing a video teaching us how to do it? Enjoyed the video very much. Thank you,
