Love DIY, where do you buy your sleeving? When looking on amazon, even if buying it in 100ft rolls for $50 thats .50 a foot, if you have a 7ft rod thats $3-$4 in sleeving alone plus shrink wrap and a tie if you want one, total cost ends up being $5-6 and I can find them for sale on amazon for that price..I wish I could make em for $2-3 like you said but for the cost I think it seems like a better deal just to buy a package of premaid ones?
You’ve got to watch the price fluctuations on Amazon. really got to watch their price drops or hunt around on there. First few that show up on a search are overpriced. Their really gauging nowadays and way above msrp. I had bought a few on Amazon and some on a couple sites online. For a 7’ rod your maybe using 5’ which is about 2.5$. You want it above the lure on your hook keeper keeping it shorter. Most rod docks and gloves nowadays are 10-14$ in basspro.
